DORMAN 926-060 Ignition Lock Cylinder Instruction Manual

Pay special attention to all cautions and warnings included in the shop manual. Read and follow all instructions carefully.
OVAL/INSTALL OF IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER (926-060).
Ford 1993–78, Lincoln 1984–80, Mercury 1989–78.
PLEASE WEAR SAFETY GLASSES!
Removal Instructions
STEP 1: Disconnect negative battery cable.
STEP 2: Remove column lower shroud mounting screws and remove upper and
lower shrouds from column.
STEP 3: Unplug wire pigtail from ignition lock if equipped.
STEP 4: Turn ignition to run position.
STEP 5: Press in ignition lock release tab using a small screw driver or
similar tool and pull lock out from column.
Installation Instructions
STEP 1: Rotate new lock to accessory position.
STEP 2: Install new ignition lock assembly by pushing lock into column.
STEP 3: Connect new ignition lock pigtail if equipped.
STEP 4: Reinstall column shrouds and mounting screws.
STEP 5: Verify free rotation of new lock through all positions.
STEP 6: Reconnect negative battery cable.
