Product Usage Instructions
Installation Instructions
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the column tilt lever by turning counter-clockwise if equipped.
- Remove the upper and lower column shrouds attaching screws, then the covers.
- Turn the key to the on position.
- Push in the key cylinder retaining pin or remove the retaining screw. Note: Pay attention to the ignition lock retaining method as it may vary.
- Rotate the key back to the off position and remove the key from the ignition lock.
- Remove the ignition lock from the switch.

REMOVAL/INSTALL OF IGNITION LOCK (926-061)
Chrysler 2002–01, Dodge 2002–97, Jeep 1998–97, Plymouth 2001–00

Removal Instructions

STEP 1: Disconnect negative battery cable.

STEP 2: Remove the column tilt lever by turning counter clockwise if equipped.

STEP 3: Remove the upper and lower column shrouds attaching screws, then the covers.

STEP 4: Turn key to on position.

STEP 5: Push in key cylinder retaining pin or remove the retaining screw.
NOTE : Please take note of the ignition lock retaining method. The retaining method may vary among applications by using a retaining screw type or retaining pin type. -
STEP 6: Rotate the key back to the off position and remove the key from the ignition lock.

STEP 7: Remove the ignition lock from the switch.
Installation Instructions
- STEP 1: Insert the key into the replacement ignition lock cylinder and insert the new lock into the ignition switch.
- STEP 2: After installing the lock cylinder, rotate the key to the ON position.
- STEP 3: Reinstall the retaining screw if this retaining method is used. If the retaining pin method is used, turning the ignition to the on position will lock the pin in place.
- STEP 4: Rotate ignition lock through all positions to verify smooth operation. STEP 5: Reinstall column shrouds and retaining screws.
- STEP 6: Reinstall the column tilt lever if equipped.
- STEP 7: Reconnect battery.
