Replace the evaporator fan motor
To replace the fan motor, you need to remove the top board, cabinet top board
and cabinet top board foam from the unit.
I : Take out the drawer of the unit and place it aside.
II : Remove the top board.
To remove the top board, loosen the screws at the front and back, as shown by
the red arrow in the following images;
Remove the screws from the top board supplement: To remove the screws from the
front of the top board, you need to remove the upper drawer and control panel
separately to remove the screws. For the upper drawer, you need to release the
red buckles on both sides upwards and lift them up when pulling them out to
remove the drawer, the below image is for your information.
The control panel needs to be loosened by loosening the screws on the arrow
below. Pushing the control panel to the right, then it will be removed.
After removing the drawers and control panel separately, you can remove the
screws at the front of the top board. There are 4-5 connection blocks on the
top board, and dismantling the top board only requires removing the 2 screws
connecting each connection block to the top board.
Scrape open the glass glue on the left and right sides of the top board with a
blade. If there is no blade, insert other thin blades into the gaps of the top
board and cut along the red line direction. After completion, the top board
can be removed.
III : After the top board is removed, the foam on the top and the top
board of the cabinet can be taken out. These two parts are not fixed by screws
and can be taken away directly.
IV : After removing it, you can see the evaporator cover. Remove the
screws of the evaporator cover and take it out.
V : Remove the fan motor that needs to be replaced (loosen the
installation screws under the fan motor and unplug the fan wiring terminals
from the wiring harness). If the fan blades are not ready, they can be removed
and replaced on the new fan motor.
VI : Replace the evaporator fan motor with a new one, install the new fan
motor using the original installation hole (you can use the removed self-
tapping screws, or use the new screws that came with your order), and connect
the fan wires to the circuit (if the unit is too old and the wiring terminals
do not match, the terminals can be cut off and docked, and electrical tape or
Wanke terminals can be used).
VII : Reinstall the evaporator cover. After installing the evaporator
cover, it is best to use iron wire or other slender tools to rotate the fan
blades through the fan motor cover and check if they are stuck.
VIII : Re-install the top board of the cabinet, top board foam, top
board, and drawer back to the unit according to the steps just removed and
complete the replacement.
