Warning

  • This product is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. Please keep this product out of the reach of children.
  • CAUTION! Possible dangerous radiation!
  • Do NOT stare directly into the light beam or shine the light directly into the eyes of anyone!
  • The product will generate massive heat during prolonged operation. Please exercise caution during use. It is recommended not to use high brightness levels for extended periods to prevent burns and product damage.
  • DO NOT cover or place objects near the head of the product, as this may cause damage to the product or accidents due to high temperatures.
  • DO NOT use the product to illuminate flammable or explosive materials, as the high heat may lead to combustion or explosion.
  • Please use the product in a standard handheld manner to avoid accidents in the event of product failure.
  • DO NOT submerge the product into any liquid when it is hot. Doing so may cause irreparable damage to the light due to the difference in air pressure inside and outside of the tube.
  • When the product is placed in an enclosed or flammable environment such as a pocket or backpack, or when it is left unused for an extended period, please turn off the product and activate the Lockout Mode to avoid accidental activation and dangers caused by excessive heat.
  • DO NOT expose the product to temperatures above 60°C (140°F) for a prolonged time, as this poses a risk of battery explosion or combustion.
  • Please recharge the product with the original charging cable to avoid shortening the lifespan of the battery.
  • Please recharge the product every 6 months when left unused for a prolonged time.
  • DO NOT disassemble or modify this product as doing so will cause damage to it and render the product warranty invalid. Please refer to the warranty section in the manual for complete warranty information.

Battery Safety
Improper use of devices with built-in Li-ion batteries may result in severe battery damage or safety hazards such as combustion or explosion. DO NOT use the device if it is damaged. DO NOT disassemble, puncture, cut, crush, or incinerate the device. If any leakage or an abnormal odour is noticed, stop using the device immediately. Dispose of the device/ batteries by applicable local laws and regulations.

Warranty Details
All NITECORE® products are warranted for quality. Any DOA / defective product can be exchanged for a replacement through a local distributor/dealer within 15 days of purchase. After that, all defective/malfunctioning NITECORE® products can be repaired free of charge within 24 months of the date of purchase. Beyond 24 months, a limited warranty applies, covering the cost of labour and maintenance, but not the cost of accessories or replacement parts.

The warranty will be nullified if

  1. the product(s) is/are broken down, reconstructed and/or modified by unauthorized parties;
  2. the product(s) is/are damaged due to improper use.

Charging Function
The EDC35 is equipped with an intelligent charging system. Please charge the battery before the first use.

Power Connection
As illustrated, rotate the USB cover at the tail following the direction of, and use the USB cable to connect an external power supply (e.g. a USB adapter, a power bank, or other USB charging devices) to the charging port to begin the charging process.

Charging Indication
During the charging process, the green power indicators will gradually transition from flashing to a steady light to display the battery level. When the battery is fully charged, the EDC35 will cease the charging process and the power indicators will become steadily turned on to inform the user.

  • The lighting function is available during the charging process (LUMIN SHIELD™ and SEARCH excluded).
  • The charging time is approx. 3 hours 30 minutes. (Charged via the 5V/2A adapter)
  • When fully charged, the standby time is approx. 12 months.

Tactical Momentary Illumination

  • Half-press and hold the Tail Button to access SEARCH. Release to turn it off.
  • Full press and hold the Tail Button to access LUMIN SHIELD™. Release to turn it off. On / Off
  • On When the light is off, fully press the Tail Button to turn it on.
  • Off: When the light is on, fully press the Tail Button to turn it off. Brightness Levels
  • When the light is on, half-press the Tail Button to cycle through the following brightness levels:
  • ULTRALOW – LOW – MID – HIGH. The flashlight will directly access the previously memorized brightness level when reactivated.

Direct Access to SEARCH

  • When the light is on / off, half-press and hold the Tail Button to directly access SEARCH (3,000 lumens).
  • Release to return to the previous status. Direct Access to LUMIN SHIELD™ When the light is on / off, full press and hold the Tail Button to directly access LUMIN SHIELD™ (5,000 lumens). Release to return to the previous status.

Lockout / Unlock
The EDC35 has two lockout modes (Half Lockout Mode and Full Lockout Mode).

Half Lockout Mode

  • When the light is on, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up while half / full pressing and holding the Tail Button to access Half Lockout Mode. The lock icon can be seen below the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™).

  • In Half Lockout Mode, half press and hold the Tail Button to access SEARCH; full press and hold the Tail Button to access LUMIN SHIELD™.
    Note: To access the Full Lockout Mode, slide down the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) to unlock the flashlight first, then turn on the flashlight followed by sliding the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up.

  • The light will exit the Half Lockout Mode and directly access the Full Lockout Mode.

  • Full Lockout Mode (Default Setting) When the light is on / off, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up to access Full Lockout Mode.

  • The lock icon can be seen below the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™), indicating that the Tail The button is unavailable to activate the flashlight.

Unlock
In either Lockout Mode, slide down the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) to exit Lockout Mode. ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) The integrated ATR technology regulates the output of the EDC35 according to the working conditions and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

Power Indication

  • When the light is on, the Power Indicators will become steadily turned on to indicate the remaining battery power.
  • Half-press the Tail Button and the Power Indicators will be on to indicate the remaining battery power (lockout modes excluded).
    Note: The battery should be recharged when the output appears to be dim or the flashlight becomes unresponsive due to low power.NITECORE-EDC35-USB-C

Sensor Protection Function
When the flashlight is at HIGH if the built-in optical sensor detects an obstruction ahead, the flashlight brightness will automatically decrease to 300 lumens to prevent overheating and prolong the lifespan of the flashlight. Once the obstruction is removed, the flashlight will return to the previous brightness level. The sensitivity of the sensor may differ due to variations in the colour and material of obstructions.
Off : The protective sensor is automatically enabled when the flashlight is powered on. Once activated, you can temporarily disable the sensor by briefly half-pressing the Tail Button.

Note

  1. This feature is only available when the flashlight is at HIGH.
  2. It is important to keep the front lens clear to ensure that the built-in sensor functions properly to achieve its optimal performance.
