Product Usage Instructions
- Connecting to AC Power Supply:
- This oscilloscope can accept 100-240 V and 45-440 Hz AC power supply. Use the supplied power cord to connect the oscilloscope to the power source.
- Power-on:
- Press the power key at the lower-left corner of the front panel to turn on the oscilloscope when energized.
- User’s Interface:
- After installation, you will see the following elements on the user interface:
- Hantek logo
- Trigger Status
- Main Time Base Window
- Sample rate
- Trigger time
- Trigger level
- Operating Menu
- Install Software:
- To install the software:
- Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive while in Windows.
- Run Setup.exe from the CD-ROM drive if the installation does not start automatically.
- Install the IO Libraries Suite software by following the installation information step by step.
- User’s Interface of PC:
- After completing the software setting and equipment connection:
- Click the software icon on the desktop to open the user interface.
- Check driver information in the device manager after successful installation.
- Click the Keysight IO libraries suite icon in the bottom right corner and select Connection Expert to view device information.
- If the installation is unsuccessful, update the driver manually with the correct route.
- Open the software of the DSO device by double-clicking DSO-a shortcut on the desktop.

- Q: How do I know if the USB disk is connected?
- A: If the icon lights up/active, it means the USB disk has been connected.
- Q: How can I ensure a successful connection with a PC?
- A: Connect DSO scope to PC via USB cable. The driver will install automatically. Upon successful installation, a prompt will notify you.
- Q: What should I do if there are no markers displayed for a channel?
- A: If there is no marker, it indicates that the channel is not displayed on the oscilloscope.
GETTING START
- To Connect to AC Power Supply
- This oscilloscope can accept 100-240 V, and 45-440 Hz AC power supply.
- Please use the power cord supplied with the accessories to connect the oscilloscope to the power source as shown in the figure below.
- Power-on
- When the oscilloscope is energized, press the power key at the lower-left corner of the front panel to turn on the oscilloscope.

- Trigger level, Readout tells trigger level.
- The operating Menu shows different information for respective function keys.
- If this icon lights up/is active, it means the USB disk has been connected.

- Channel Marker
- The window displays the waveform.
Install Software
Caution: You must install the software before using the oscilloscope on a PC.
- While in Windows, insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
- The installation should start up automatically. Otherwise, in Windows Explorer, switch to the CD-ROM drive and run Setup.exe. According to the installation information, please install it step by step.
Download and install the IO libraries suite.
- You can install the software named IOLibSuite on the CD.
- Double-click the IO Libraries Suite program and install it.
- According to the installation information, please install it step by step.
- The installation may take several minutes.
- After installation, you can see it in the bottom right corner.
USB CONNECTION
- Power on. Connect DSO scope to PC via USB cable. The driver will install it by himself. When the driver is installed successfully, there will be a prompt as follows:
- After installing successfully, users can see driver information in the device manager.
- Click the Keysight IO libraries suite icon in the bottom right corner, and choose “Connection Expert”. Now users can see the device information.
- If installing unsuccessfully, right-click to update the driver manually, and choose the correct route: C:C:\Program FilesFiles\IVI FoundationFoundation\VISAVISA\IVI USB Staging Staging\b841aa80b841aa80\Windows
- Double-click the “DSO -X” shortcut on the desktop to open the software of the DSO device. The device is connected to the PC successfully. You can see the “ConnectedConnected” tip in the status column.

Click the software icon on the desk after you finish the software setting and equipment connecting. Then a user interface will be shown as follows
In addition to displaying waveforms, the display area is filled with many details about the waveform and the oscilloscope control settings.

- The Horizontal Trigger Position Drag the Horizontal Position icon on the screen to adjust the trigger position against the screen. Double-click the icon to reset the trigger point back to the screen centre.
- The Trigger Level Drag the trigger level icon on the screen to adjust the trigger level position against the screen.
- It shows the system time.
- Connect Status
- The markers show the CH1/CH2/CH3/CH4 reference points of the displayed waveforms. If there is no marker, the channel is not displayed.

GENERAL SAFETY SUMMARY

- Do not operate without covers. Do not operate this product with covers or panels removed.
