INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS OF MICA BAND HEATER
INSTALLATION
1.1 Before installation, check the surface should be clean and clear of
debris.
1.2 Remove any material or dirt and check surface for irregularities which
could cause hot spots.
1.3 Check the Resistance Value before installation to check the healthiness of
heater.
1.4 After installation, check the proper tightening of heater on barrel and
ensure that there should not any gap present in between Heater & Barrel.
1.5 Ensure that medium should be present before energizing the heater.
1.6 Heater must be wired by qualified personnel to electrical code
requirements.
1.7 Check supply voltage with heater marking & user specifications before
energizing.
1.8 Make sure that the heater is not exposed to water or other liquids. This
can damage the heater or result in electrical shock.
1.9 Do not turn the bolt with extra effort as this may damage the connection
point.
START-UP INSPECTION
2.1Check that all terminal connections are tightened properly.
2.2 Ensure no physical damages to the temperature sensors or any other part of
the heater unit.
2.3 To ensure the safety of the heater, monitor the temperature so that it
does not exceed the prescribed value.
MAINTENANCE
3.1 Disconnect power before performing any maintenance servicing.
3.2 Maintenance and repair should be performed only by qualified personnel.
3.3 Periodically check electrical connections for tightness.
