INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES MODIFICATION OR REPLACEMENT OF OEM REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER/ DIFFUSER
-
We recommend installation to be performed by a trained and/ or qualied technician
-
Installation should be performed when the exhaust is cool to the touch
-
Remove OEM exhaust and/or exhaust components
-
Install the original rubber hangers from the OEM exhaust onto the REMARK exhaust
-
Begin to install the components of the exhaust [A] [B] [C]. It may be easier to install the exhaust in sections instead of as an assembled complete exhaust due to the weight and size. We recommend starting from the front first and working your way rearwards, starting with [A].
-
Install the forward section of the mid-pipe [A] to the factory front over the pipe. Use the provided 3-bolt gasket and re-use the OEM nuts. Torque to OEM specification or ~35 ft-lbs.
-
Use the supplied gaskets and hardware to install sections [B] and [C] of the exhaust leaving the hardware hand-tight until the entire system is installed.
-
Align flanges, and gaskets, and snug all hardware so that sections cannot move.
-
Check the positioning of the exhaust piping, resonator, user (s), and tips(s). Reposition if needed by loosening hardware, adjusting the position and retightening hardware.
-
When placement is confirmed, tighten all hardware to recommend torque spec.
INSTALLATION TIP – If the position of the tips needs to be adjusted, loosen the range hardware, have someone hold the tips in the desired position, and retighten the hardware. -
Thoroughly wipe down the exhaust system from any grease, dirt, handprints, fingerprints, etc… as these may cause a permanent stain once the exhaust reaches operating temp. DO NOT USE any harsh cleaners on the polish or burnt nish tips as permanent discolouration may occur. We recommend soap and water for the tips.
-
Start the engine and let the system come up to temp.
-
Check for any leaks, tment issues, rubbing, etc..
-
Re-check for exhaust leaks, and tment issues, and re-torque all hardware after ~100 miles of driving.
We highly recommend that all system components be inspected, and ALL hardware retightened at normal service intervals. Every 3000-5000 miles.
