PARTS LAYOUT
IMPORTANT: INSTALLATION OF THIS PRODUCT REQUIRES MODIFICATION OR REPLACEMENT OF OEM REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER/ DIFFUSER
1. We recommend installation to be performed by a trained and/ or qualied
technician
2. Installation should be performed when the exhaust is cool to the touch
3. Disconnect Negative terminal from the battery
4. Remove OEM exhaust and/or exhaust components
If you are installing onto a:
2023+ Acura Integra A-Spec, skip to step 10 and omit step 15.
This exhaust will fit Integra model without any modification
2022+ Honda Civic Si, skip to step 10 and omit step 15.
This exhaust will fit Si model without any modification to the rear exhaust
garnishes
2022+ Honda Civic Touring Sedan or EX Sedan, continue to step 5.
Trimming or replacement of exhaust garnishes is required to provide clearance for the exhaust tips
5. Remove the OEM the two plastic exhaust garnishes located on the lower portion of the rear bumper. These parts are plastic.
6. Remove the two push-in clips on the bottom of each garnish
7. Now remove the single screw on the inside of bumper for each garnish
8. Now carefully remove the garnish by releasing the clips. This can be done with a small and thin plastic tool flat head screw driver. Be sure not to scratch any painted surfaces if using metal tools.
9A. If you are replacing with OEM Honda Civic Si exhaust garnishes. You can install now. Installation is the opposite of removal.
9B. You can also trim your OEM exhaust garnishes to allow enough space for the exhaust tips. We suggest installing the exhaust first, then slowly trim as needed. We suggest a minimum of 10mm of clearance around the tips. See step 15.
10. Install the original rubber hangers from the OEM exhaust onto the REMARK
exhaust
11. Begin to install the components of the exhaust [A] [B] [C] [D]. It may be
easier to install the exhaust in sections instead of as an assembled complete
exhaust due to the weight and size. We recommend starting from the front
fi rst and working your way rearwards, start with [A].
10. Install the forward section of the midpipe [A] to the factory front over
pipe. Use provided 3-bolt gasket and re-use the OEM nuts. Torque to OEM
specification or ~35 ft-lbs.
11. Use the supplied gaskets and hardware to install sections [B], [C], and
[D] of the exhaust leaving the hardware hand tight until the entire system is
installed.
12. Align flanges, gasket, and snug all hardware so that sections cannot
move.
13. Check positioning of the exhaust piping, resonator, muffler(s), and
tips(s). Reposition if needed by loosening hardware, adjust position and
retighten hardware.
14. When placement is confirmed, tighten all hardware to recommend torque
spec.
INSTALLATION TIP – If the position of the tips need to be adjusted, loosen the flange hardware, have someone hold the tips in desired position, and re-tighten hardware.
15. TRIMMING OF OEM EXHAUST GARNISHES – slowly trim openings large enough on
each side to accomodate the tips. We suggest a clearance around the tip of
10mm/ .4”. Clearance can be more or less, depending on preference. If less, we
suggest re-checking the clearance after a spirited drive to get some heat in
the exhaust system, at which time the exhaust will shift/ move and expand.
Take your time, and trim slowly.
16. Throughly wipe down the exhaust system from any grease, dirt, handprints,
fingerprints, etc… as these may cause a permanent stain once the exhaust
reaches operating temp. DO NOT USE any harsh cleaners on the polish or burnt
fi nish tips as permanent discoloration may occur. We recommend soap and water
for the tips.
17. Reconnet the negative terminal of the battery
18. Start the engine and let the system come up to temp.
19. Check for any leaks, fitment issues, rubbing, etc..
20. Re-check for exhaust leaks, fitment issues, and re-torque all hardware
after ~100 miles of driving.
We highly recommend that the all system components be inspected, and ALL hardware retightened at normal service intervals. Every 3000-5000 miles.
