Adjust the angle of the handlebar

  • Loosen the four screws of the stem and install the handlebar on the stem.
  • Loosen the handlebar clamp, adjust the handlebar to a proper height, and then lock the handlebar to ensure that the handlebar structure has been fixed and the handlebar has not shaken.
    Installation Steps

Assemble and install the front wheel

  • Remove the wheel and the quick-release skewer. There are two conical springs on the quick-release skewer.

  • Open the lever and unscrew the thumb nut on the quick-release skewer.

  • Slot in the quick-release skewer, ensuring that the wheel is sandwiched between its two conical springs, and tighten the thumb nut.
The thumb nut should be on the same side as the disc brake.
Both conical springs should point toward the wheel’s hub. Keep the lever open and thread the thumb nut a few turns, leaving enough room for the fork dropouts. Lower the front fork on the front wheel. Make sure the brake rotor is in the brake caliper and in between the brake pads, and that the axle is slotted securely in the fork dropouts.
Make sure that the wheel is fully seated in the dropouts.

  • Hold the quick-release lever, keep it level with the axle, then tighten the thumb nut until the lever can stay parallel to the floor without being held. Use your palm to close the lever fully without touching the brake rotor.
The quick-release lever locks the front wheel to the bike. To ensure safety, make sure the thumb nut is sufficiently tightened so that the axle and wheel are locked securely in place.
    Installation Steps

Install pedal

  • Each pedal comes with an “L” sticker or “R” sticker that identifies it as the left or right pedal
  • Start by tightening the pedals manually by turning the right pedal clockwise and the left pedal counterclockwise with your hand
  • Secure the pedals by tightening them with a pedal wrench or an open-end wrench
    Installation Steps

IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to force the pedal into the crank if you encounter resistance while tightening the pedals. Remove the pedal and try again until you can tighten the pedal smoothly. Make sure that the pedals are locked tightly to each crank arm. Otherwise, the pedals may loosen while you are riding the bike. A loose or detached pedal can lead to a loss of control over the bike and falls, resulting in serious injury.

Install the saddle

  • Open the clamp under the seat. Pull the seat up or push it down to adjust the height.
  • Close the clamp to secure the seat in place. Do not raise the saddle higher than the safety line.
  • Fix the saddle pipe and saddle and adjust to the appropriate angle.

Section 4

Adjusting the Seat Height

Positioning the seat at the right height is the key to better pedaling, greater safety, and overall comfort. Use the rider’s leg length to determine the ideal seat height. When pedaling, you should keep your hips level and you should not overextend your legs. To determine the right seat height, sit on the E-Bike, place the ball of your foot on one pedal and push it down to its lowest point. Your knee should be bending slightly. Now, place your heel on the pedal. Your leg should be almost completely straight.

Open the clamp under the seat post. Pull the seat up or push it down to adjust the height. Make sure the seat post is inserted fully into the frame and that the nose of the saddle is parallel to the frame. Close the clamp to secure the seat in place.

Safety First

If you are uncertain about any part of this manual, please bring your oraimo and this manual to a local bike shop for professional inspection, assembly and instructions.

To keep yourself safe and to prolong the lifespan of your oraimo, it is extremely important that you follow the safety guidelines in this manual.

  • Before you ride your oraimo for the first time, be 100% sure that it has been assembled correctly. The step-by-step instructions for the assembly are included in this manual. If you are unsure about the assembled product, please bring it to your nearest bike shop.
  • Make sure that the following parts are installed correctly and tightened securely: pedals, saddle height, handlebar (both rotation and height) and wheels.
  • Ensure that all safety latches, including quick releases and rings, are locked firmly in place.
  • Ensure all screws and bolts (including those in the fronUrear wheels, saddle and brake rotors) are tightened properly. There may be specific instructions given when it comes to securing certain parts of the bike, e.g., you may have to use a torque wrench for safety reasons.
  • Check your brakes before every ride. Exercise extra caution when riding in wet or icy conditions.
  • Check your tire pressures regularly. They should be kept between 2 to 2.5 bar(36 to 43 psi).
  • Low tire pressure may damage your bike’s tires and rims and shorten the lifespan of your oraimo. Your ride may be cut short if you get a flat tire.
  • We advise you to always wear a helmet when riding your oraimo.
  • Please observe all traffic regulations and other applicable laws, including any laws on lighting.
  • Do not drink and ride. Alcohol, in any amount, can impair your judgment and increase your risk of getting into an accident.
  • Riding at night or in bad weather can be dangerous.
  • Do not lend your oraimo to someone who is unfamiliar with operating the bike. If you do choose to lend your oraimo to anyone, make sure that they read and understand the instructions in this manual.
WHEN WAITING AT THE TRAFFIC JUNCTION, ADJUST THE SPEED MODE TO O OR HOLD THE BRAKE SO THAT YOU DO NOT START THE E-BIKE IF YOU STEP ON THE PEDAL ACCIDENTALLY.

Maintenance

Section 6

Do not perform any kind of maintenance while the E-Bike is turned on or charging.
Before each ride, check whether the quick-release screws are loose and whether the brakes are working.
Check the handlebars and screws once a week and charge the bike at least once every three months.

Battery Maintenance

  • Do not store the battery in a location that exceeds the temperature range of 20°C-25°C/68°F-77°F. Do not pierce the battery. Refer to local laws and regulations on battery recycling and/or disposal.
  • If maintained properly, a battery can continue to perform at optimal levels well even powering your bike for many miles. Charge the battery after each ride to prevent the battery from draining completely. To ensure optimal performance and prolonged battery life, use the battery at room temperature (70°F /22°C). Using the battery at temperatures below 32°F/0°C will shorten battery life and affect performance. Expect battery life and performance at -4 °F/-20°C to be half of that at 70°F/22°C and to improve when the temperature rises.

NOTE:

Generally, a fully charged battery can last for 90 days in standby mode while a low-power battery can last for 30-60 days in standby mode. Remember to charge the battery after each use. Draining the battery may damage it. The electronic components inside the battery log the battery’s charges and discharges. Damage caused by over-discharge or under-discharge is not covered by the limited warranty.

ATTENTION:

  • Do not attempt to disassemble the battery as it poses a fire hazard.
  • Do not ride the bike if the ambient temperature exceeds the operating temperature (see Specifications). Excessively low/high temperatures will curtail the bike’s maximum power/torque, potentially leading to slips or falls and resulting in injury or property damage.

Cleaning

Clean your E-Bike properly to prolong its lifespan and enjoy a smooth riding experience.

Before cleaning the bike, make sure that the power is turned off and the charging cable is unplugged. Otherwise, you may damage the electronic components.

  • Wipe the E-Bike with a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
  • Check the wheels for debris. The E-Bike is designed for easy wheel maintenance.
  • The E-Bike is IPX4 water resistant, which means it is splash-proof. However, do not submerge the E Bike in water.
  • Do not let water or any other liquids get into the E-Bike’s electrical parts or battery.

NOTE :

Do not use alcohol, gasoline, acetone, or other corrosive/volatile solvents to clean the bicycle. These substances may damage the bike’s exterior and internal components.

Storage

Here are some tips on how to store your oraimo E-Bike.

  • Before storing the bike, charge the battery fully to prevent over-discharge due to lack of use.
  • Even if you have not been using your E-Bike for more than one month, you should discharge and charge the battery at least once a month.
  • Cover the E-Bike to keep dust out. Do not store your bike in a dusty environment as this may damage the bike over time.

NOTE :

Store your bicycle in a cool and dry place. Do not keep it outdoors for a prolonged period. Exposure to sunlight and extreme temperatures (hot or cold} will speed up the wear and tear of plastic parts and may reduce battery life.

Disposal at End-of-Life

This product must not be disposed of by incineration, landfilling, or alongside household waste. Improper disposal of the battery may lead to overheating, a fire or an explosion and result in serious injury.

The chemicals inside the battery are chemical pollutants. We recommend that all oraimo products be disposed of as a whole or through an e-waste recycling center, program, or facility.

Local regulations and laws about the recycling and disposal of lithium-ion batteries and/or products containing them vary according to country, state, and region. Check your local laws and regulations on the proper way to dispose of the battery and/or bike. It is the user’s responsibility to dispose of their property in accordance with local regulations and laws.

For additional information about where you should drop off your batteries and electrical or electronic waste, please contact the relevant local or regional authorities or waste disposal services.

Hub Bearings

Hub bearings require special thin wrenches called cone wrenches. If you do not own these tools, do not attempt hub bearing adjustments. Have a qualified bicycle mechanic perform the adjustment if you have any doubts.

  1. Check to make sure neither locknuts is loose.
  2. To adjust, remove wheel from bicycle and loosen the locknut on one side of the hub while holding the bearing cone on the same side with a cone wrench.
  3. Rotate the adjusting cone as needed to eliminate free play.
  4. Re-tighten the locknut while holding the adjusting cone in position.
  5. Re-check that the wheel can turn freely without excessive side play.

Adjusting the Derailleur

WARNING

Ensure all bolts are secured tightly and the chain does not fall off in either direction.

Although rear derailleurs are initially adjusted at the factory, you will need to inspect and re-adjust both before riding the bicycle.

Adjust the Rear Derailleur

  1. Begin by shifting the rear shifter to largest number indicated and place the chain on the smallest sprocket.
  2. Adjust the high limit screw so the guide pulley and the smallest sprocket are lined up vertically.
  3. Shift through the gears, making sure each gear achieved is done quietly and without hesitation. If necessary, use the barrel adjuster to fine-tune each gear by turning it the direction you want the chain to go. For example, turning clockwise will loosen the cable tension and move the chain away from the wheel, while turning counterclockwise will tighten cable tension and direct the chain towards the wheel.
  4. Shift the rear shifter to gear one and place the chain on the largest cog.
  5. Adjust the low limit screw in quarter turn increments until the guide pulley and the largest cog are aligned vertically.
  6. Again, shift through each gear several times, checking that each gear is achieved smoothly. It may take several attempts before the rear derailleur and cable is adjusted properly.

USING THE REAR SHIFTER

The rear shifter (right) will have an indicator that reads either low to high or a series of numbers from 1 and up. Low or “1” is the lowest gear. This is used for slower riding, hill climbing, or to allow for easier pedaling. It is recommended to start off in this gear and move through the gears as speed increases as needed, or comfortable.

BRAKE OPERATION

WARNING!

  • If the front brake is applied too quickly or too hard, the front wheel can stop turning resulting in a front pitch over or cause the bicycle to lose steering function leading to a crash.
  • Disc brake rotors’ become hot during use and can burn the skin if contacted. Do not touch or come in contact with the disc rotor when it is hot. Allow it to cool before touching.

Hand operated brakes have a separate hand lever to operate front and rear brakes. Front hand brake levers are located on the left side of the handlebar, and rear hand brake levers are located on the right side of the handlebar.

You may operate one brake at a time, or all together, however, be careful to pay close attention to front brakes locking up. To avoid this:

  • Apply both brakes simultaneously, while shifting your body weight back slightly to compensate for braking force.
  • As terrain changes, the rider must practice and learn how the bicycle will respond in a new terrain or weather change. The same bicycle will react differently if it is wet, or if there is gravel on the road etc.
  • Always test the brakes and be sure you feel comfortable with the reaction. If the riding conditions are too steep (off road for example) and you are unsure, dismount the bicycle and walk past the questionable terrain before riding again.
  • Remember that as you apply the brakes your weight will want to shift forward, and the wheels will want to stop.
