Battery installation (P1)
- Press the battery compartment cover buckle and pull out the battery compartment cover;
- Insert 2 batteries according to the positive and negative indications;
- Push on the battery compartment cover;
Data transmission (P2)
- Start the device to ensure it is in power-on state;
- Connect the device to the PC via USB Type-C cable;
- Access the data stored in the device from the PC;
Connection to mobile APP
- Start the device to ensure it is in power-on state;
- Turn on the WiFi hotspot on the device;
- Search the WiFi hotspot name of the device through the mobile phone and connect;
- Open the TargetIR APP on the mobile phone to get the real-time image of the device. Then you can control and access the device;
Charging/power supply

Charging mode
The device is for power supply only, but cannot be charged. -
Power supply mode
Adapter and battery power supply is supported.
Adapter power supply:
The standard adapter of the product is used to connect the device for power supply. Open the USB cover and connect the adapter. The power supply icon as shown below can be seen in the lower left corner of the screen.
Battery power supply:
Power supply can be realized after the battery is installed according to the
battery installation steps.
When the power level of battery changes, the power level indicator is
displayed in the middle of the screen, with the illuminated part of the
indicator showing the remaining power of battery.
After powering on and entering the real-time screen, the correct icon for the
above power level of battery will be displayed in the lower left corner of the
screen.
The power level is as follows:

Note: The battery at low power level should be replaced in a timely manner!
Function description
-
Power-on
Long press the power button in the power-off state until a startup screen appears in the eyepiece, indicating that the device has been started successfully. -
Power-off
Long press the power button in the power-on state to display the shutdown progress bar, until the progress bar is completed for successful shutdown. -
Display off
Long press the power button under the power-on state to dispaly the shutdown progress bar. Before the progress bar is completed, releasing the power button can cancel the shutdown and enter the Display off mode. -
Display on
In the Display off mode, triggering the device button can wake up the screen. -
Compensation
Manual compensation: Short press the on/off button to complete the compensation action.
Automatic compensation: The compensation operation is executed automatically according to the focal temperature. -
Exit menu
When the device is turned on and the menu is displayed, short pressing the power button can enable the device return to the real-time interface without saving.
Ranging: Short press the Down button to start ranging; For single ranging mode, a short press on the Down button can enable to measure the distance of the target, and a long press will disable the ranging function. The right zone displays the distance value of the target and ranging mode.
Ranging mode: Single ranging and continuous ranging modes are available. In
the single ranging mode, a short press on the Down button will proceed a
ranging and update the distance value. In continuous ranging mode, automatic
ranging will be performed once every second.
Angle: When this function is enabled, the right zone will display the pitching
angle of the device, falling within [-90o, 90o]. Angle will not be displayed
when the ranging function is disabled.
Vertical height: When this function is enabled, the right zone will display
the vertical height of the target. Vertical height will not be displayed when
the ranging function is disabled.
Image enlargement: the real-time image is electronically enlarged at the
magnification of 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x by short pressing the Up button, and at the
electronic magnification of 0.1x by long pressing the Up button.
Scenario mode: Three scenario modes can be set: natural/enhanced/highlighted.
Picture-in-picture (PIP): the PIP can be switched to Off, Top Left, Top Middle
and Top Right positions. When the ranging function is disabled, the central
part of the real-time picture is intercepted and displayed at 2x
magnification. When the ranging function is enabled, the surrounding part
centered on the ranging cursor is intercepted and displayed at 2x
magnification.
WiFi: The WiFi hotspots in two frequency bands, 2.4G or 5G, can be set up.
After being connected through the mobile client and device, real-time images
can be transmitted to the mobile APP, and the device can be operated through
the mobile APP.
WiFi account: TJ-XXXX (XXXX represents the last four digits of the MAC
address)
Password: 12345678
Hotspot tracking: When the device is turned on, the hotspot tracking cursor is
displayed, which tracks the highest temperature point on the screen.
Image outlining: After the image is opened, the contours of all targets in the
real-time screen can be drawn.
Super power-saving: If the super power-saving mode is switched on, a super
power-saving icon appears, and the OLED brightness is nonadjustable and fixed
at 20%. In this case, WIFI, hotspot tracking, and image outlining functions
cannot be turned on. If they are already turned on, they can be turned off
directly.
Screen brightness: 10 levels of screen brightness can be set.
Pseudo color: To set the pseudo color displayed in real-time screen, white
thermal, black thermal, red thermal, iron red, blue thermal or green thermal
can be selected.
Brightness: The screen brightness can be adjustable in a total of 10 levels.
Contrast: The screen contrast is adjustable in a total of 10 levels.
Screen enhancement: Enable the adjustable imaging quality and highlight the
target details in real time.
Compensation mode: Manual or automatic compensation modes are available for
the screen.
Smart stay: The automatic sleep time can be set to 5/10/15 minutes. If no
operation is performed within the set time, the device starts the countdown to
sleep.
After the countdown ends, the device sleeps.
Timed shutdown: The automatic shutdown time can be set to 15/30/60 minutes. If
no operation is performed within the set time, the device will start the
countdown to shut down. After the countdown ends, the device will shut down.
Timed closing menu: The time to automatically close the menu can be set to
10/20/60 seconds. If no operation is performed within the set time, the menu
will be closed.
Fixed-duration video recording: The video recording duration can be set at 15s
or 60s. After recording to the specified duration, the video will be
automatically ended and saved. When the fixed-duration video recording turned
off, the maximum video recording duration will be 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
Audio: When audio is turned on, audio will be recorded synchronously with the
video, and sound will be played simultaneously with the video. When audio is
turned off, then the recorded video will have no sound;
OSD: If OSD is turned on, all elements on the interface will be included in
the images and video files saved after taking photos/videos. If OSD is turned
off, no UI element on the interface will be included in the images and video
files saved after taking photos/videos, but all UI elements on the interface
will still be displayed on the real-time screen as usual.
Watermark: If watermark is enabled, the time and date will be displayed in the
bottom right corner of the screen. After taking photos and videos, the time
information for saving the photos and videos will also be displayed.
Compass: When it is turned on, the direction pointed by the lens of the device
will be displayed at the top of the screen.
Language settings: Support the switching among the languages such as English,
Russian, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Romanian,
Norwegian, Swedish and Danish.
Unit: there are two optional units: meter and yard.
When one unit is selected, the target distance or vertical height will be
displayed in the selected unit.
Time setting: Set the time and date on the device, and the results will be
synchronized to the watermarked display.
Time format: 12H/24H systems are available for option, and the results will be
synchronized to the watermarked display.
Date style: YYYY-MM-DD and DD-MM-YYYY are optional, and the results will be
synchronized to the watermarked display.
Screen-off display: When the device enters the screen-off state after
starting, the standby icon will be displayed on the screen to reduce the power
consumption. Press any button on the device to restore screen display.
Bluetooth: Used to connect to a Bluetooth remote control, thereby controlling
the device through remote control.
Memory card formatting: Delete all files from the memory card of the device.
Restore default: The device can be restored to factory settings. After being
restored to the default, the device will automatically restart and display the
language guidance interface.
About: The information, such as device software version and MAC address, can
be viewed.

Guide for common troubleshooting

The device cannot be powered on.
Solution: Replace the battery or connect the adapter to power on. -
Device prompts that it is disabled to take photos/vedios.
Solution: The memory space of the device is full, and it is necessary to format the memory card or disconnect the device from the computer. -
The displayed time on the device does not match the actual time.
Solution: Reset the time and date on the device in the menu. -
The screen turns off during use.
Solution: Short press the composite knob to wake up and light the screen. -
The device imaging is blurry during use.
Solution: Rotate the lens to manually focus until the display is clear.
Storage and transportation
Storage:
- Storage conditions for the packaged product: wellventilated and clean indoor space at -30 ℃~60 ℃, with ≤95%RH, and no condensed or corrosive gas;
- Please take it out and charge it at regular intervals of 3 months.
Transportation:
Avoid rain, water invasion, upside down, violent vibration and impact during
transportation. Handle with care and do not throw the product.

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a
particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to
radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the

- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

The exposure standard for wireless devices employs a unit of measurement known
as the Specific Absorption Rate(SAR). The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6
W/kg.
The highest SAR level measured for this device is less than SAR limit, so this
device meets the FCC Requirement.
