When using an electric product, basic precautions should always be followed,

Read all instructions before using this product.

To reduce the risk of electric shock:

To charge the product, only use a USB power source on a certified product with output rating 5 V, ≥ 1 A.
For safe charging in a moist environment (e.g. in a bathroom), only use an IPX4 (splash-proof) power source.

Keep the USB cable and the USB power source dry.

Do not reach for a corded product that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately from the power outlet.

Do not place or store the product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. Do not place or drop the product into water or other liquid.

This product does not work while it is connected to the power outlet. Except when charging, always unplug this product from the power outlet.

Remove USB power source from power outlet and product before cleaning the product with water.

This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for their safety.

Use this product only for its intended household use as described in this manual. Misuse can lead to hazards or serious injuries. Do not use attachments not recommended by Philips North America LLC.

Do not use this product to trim scalp hair.

To prevent damage and injuries, keep the operating product away from scalp hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, lips, inner labia, clothes etc.

Be aware that accessories such as combs or guards can prevent the replacement symbol from becoming visible.
Replace the blade immediately if you notice increased hair pulling or reduced cutting performance of the product. -
Never operate this product if it has a damaged USB power source, if it is not working properly, after it has been dropped or damaged, or after the product or the USB power source has been dropped into water. For assistance call 1-800-243-3050.

Keep the USB cable and the USB power source away from heated surfaces.

Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

Do not use the USB power source in or near a power outlet that contains an electric air freshener to prevent damage to the USB power source.

Do not use product outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

Always check cutting units and other attachments and accessories before you use the product. Never use the product with a damaged cutting unit, attachment or accessory, as injury may occur.

Always attach the USB cable to the USB power source and the product first, then attach the USB power source to the power outlet. To disconnect, set all controls to ‘off’ position.
Then remove the USB power source from the power outlet. -
Plug USB power source directly into power outlet. Do not use an extension cord.

Unplug USB power source before plugging in or unplugging the product.
-
Only use original Philips accessories or consumables.
-
Charge, use and store the product at a temperature between 41 °F / 5 °C and 95 °F / 35 °C.
-
Keep product and batteries away from fire and do not expose them to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
-
If the product becomes abnormally hot or smelly, changes color or if charging takes longer than usual, stop using and charging the product and contact Philips.
-
Do not place products and their batteries in microwave ovens or on induction cookers.
-
Do not open, modify, pierce, damage or dismantle the product or battery to prevent batteries from heating up or releasing toxic or hazardous substances. Do not shortcircuit, overcharge or reverse charge batteries.

If batteries are damaged or leaking, avoid contact with the skin or eyes. If this occurs, immediately rinse well with water and seek medical care.

When you handle batteries, make sure that your hands, the product and the batteries are dry.
-
To avoid accidental short-circuiting of batteries after removal, do not let battery terminals come into contact with metal objects (e.g. coins, hairpins, rings). Do not wrap batteries in aluminum foil. Tape battery terminals or put batteries in a plastic bag before you discard them.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- This product is waterproof. It is suitable for use in the bath or shower and for cleaning under the tap. For safety reasons, the product can therefore only be used without cord.
- Because of hygiene, only one person should use the product.
- Switch off the product before removing or attaching attachments and before cleaning.
- Clean the product after each use.
- Only use cold or lukewarm water to clean the product.
- Never use compressed air, scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as gasoline or acetone to clean the product.
- Caution: Never dry the trimmer teeth with a towel or tissue, as this may damage the trimmer teeth.

General description (Fig. 1)
- Blade
- On/off button
- Battery charging indicator
- Socket for small plug
- Skin Protect attachment for wet and dry use
- Body comb 1/8 in. (3 mm)

Charging
Charging with the USB power source
Charge the product before first use and when the product starts working more
slowly.
Warning: Keep the USB cable and the USB power source dry.

Insert the small plug of the USB cable into the socket in the bottom of the handle (Fig. 2).
-
Insert the USB plug into the USB power source (not included) (Fig. 3).
-
Insert the USB power source into the power outlet (Fig. 4).
-
When the product is charging, the battery charging indicator lights up continuously (Fig. 5).
-
To fully charge the battery, let it charge for 8 hours.
-
Unplug the adapter from the power source, then remove the USB power source from the handle.
Note : for safety reasons, the product can only be used when the USB power source is not attached. -
When fully charged, the product has an operating time of 30 minutes.
Using the product
Changing attachments
Attaching and detaching the blade
- To attach the blade to the handle, hold the blade by both short sides and press it onto the handle until it snaps into place (Fig. 6).
- To detach the blade from the handle, hold the blade by both short sides and lift it off the handle (Fig. 7).
Detaching and attaching the Skin Protect
-
To detach the Skin Protect from the blade, hold one of the short sides of the Skin Protect between your index finger and your thumb. Use your thumb to push the upper corner of the Skin Protect upwards until released from the blade.
Then gently remove the Skin Protect from the blade (Fig. 8). -
To attach the Skin Protect onto the blade, hook one short end of the Skin Protect around the blade and press down on the other end until the Skin Protect snaps into place (Fig. 9).
Attaching and detaching the body comb
- To attach the body comb onto the blade, hold the comb by both short sides and press it onto the blade (Fig. 10).
- To detach the body comb from the blade, hold the comb by both short sides and pull it off the blade (Fig. 11).
Switching the product on and off
Press the on/off button once to switch the product on or off (Fig. 12).
Shaving and trimming intimate areas
Before you begin
Before you use the product, always check the blade for damage or wear. If the
blade is damaged or worn, do not use the product as injury may occur.

Thoroughly clean the area to be shaved or trimmed.
-
Take a position that allows you to reach your intimate area with the product, for instance:
– Place one leg on a bathtub or chair (Fig. 13).
– Sit on a chair.
– Sit on the toilet. -
Spread your legs to achieve some initial stretching of the skin.
Shaving
Use the blade with the Skin Protect to shave the hair on your intimate areas
close to the skin.
Warning for men: When you shave your scrotum, make sure that you stretch your
skin in such a way that the blade cannot come into contact with the flexible
skin.
Warning for women: When you shave the inside of your outer labia, make sure
that you stretch the outer labia in such a way that the blade cannot come into
contact with the inner labia.
Protect your inner labia with your other hand.

Attach the blade with the Skin Protect onto the handle (see ‘Attaching and detaching the blade’).
-
Press the on/off button once to switch on the product.
-
With your free hand, stretch a small area of the skin with two fingers to make the hairs stand upright (Fig. 14). Only place the blade on thoroughly stretched skin.
-
Place the blade with the Skin Protect flat onto the skin.
Make sure that the blade is in full contact with the skin (Fig. 15). -
Move the product slowly and with light pressure against the direction of hair growth. As you move along, make sure that your skin always remains stretched (Fig. 16).

When you have finished, switch off the product and clean it (see ‘Cleaning’).
Edging
You can use both edges of the blade to create sharp lines and perfect edges
(Fig. 17).

Attach the Skin Protect onto the blade (see ‘Detaching and attaching the Skin Protect’).
-
With your free hand, stretch the skin around the area that you want to shape.
-
Make short strokes with the blade held perpendicular to your skin (Fig. 18). Alternatively, you can make small strokes with the blade flat against your skin. Apply gentle pressure.
As you move along, make sure that your skin always remains stretched (Fig. 19). -
When you have finished, switch off the product and clean it (see ‘Cleaning’).
Trimming with body comb
Use the blade with the body comb to trim the hair on your intimate areas to a length of 1/8 in. (3 mm).
- Remove the Skin Protect from the blade (see ‘Detaching and attaching the Skin Protect’).
- Attach the body comb onto the blade (see ‘Attaching and detaching the body comb’) .
- Press the on/off button once to switch on the product.
- Place the body comb flat onto the skin. Make sure that the comb is in full contact with the skin (Fig. 20).
- With your free hand, stretch a small area of the skin with two fingers to make the hairs stand upright (Fig. 14). Only place the body comb on a thoroughly stretched skin.
- Move the product slowly and with light pressure against the direction of hair growth. As you move along, make sure that your skin always remains stretched (Fig. 21).
- When you have finished, switch off the product and clean it (see ‘Cleaning’).
Cleaning

Switch off the product.
-
Remove the Skin Protect or body comb from the blade (see ‘Changing attachments’).
-
Blow off any hairs that have accumulated on the blade, Skin Protect and/or body comb.
-
Switch on the product and rinse the blade with cold or lukewarm water (Fig. 22).
Caution: Do not dry the blade with a towel or a tissue as this may cause damage. The blade is fragile. Handle it carefully. Do not use the product with a damaged blade. -
Rinse the Skin Protect and/or body comb with cold or lukewarm water (Fig. 22).

Carefully shake off excess water and let all parts air dry completely.
Do not tap the product on the rim of the sink to remove excess water, as this may cause damage (Fig. 23).
Replacement
When to replace the blade
For optimal cutting and gliding performance, we advise you to replace the
blade every 4 months or when it no longer provides the shaving or trimming
results you expect.
Depending on your usage behavior, the exact lifetime of the blade could be
longer or shorter.
If blade is damaged
If you notice any damage on your blade, replace it immediately.
Replacing the blade
- Switch off the product.
- Hold the blade by both short sides and detach it by lifting it off the handle (Fig. 24).
- Hold the new blade by both short sides and press it onto the handle (Fig. 25) (‘click’). When you hear a click, the new blade is placed correctly and ready for use.
Note: Be careful, the edges of the blade are sharp.

Philips North America LLC warrants this new product against defects in
materials or workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase,
and agrees to repair or replace any defective product without charge.
IMPORTANT : This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident,
misuse or abuse, lack of reasonable care, the affixing of any attachment not
provided with the product or loss of parts or subjecting the product to any
but the specified oltage.
The blade is not covered by the terms of this warranty because it is subject
to wear and tear.
NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ASSUMED FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES.
In order to obtain warranty service, simply go to

that for your protection you return shipments of product by insured mail,
insurance prepaid. Damage occurring during shipment is not covered by this
warranty.

rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion
and limitations may not apply to you.
