HOW TO WIRE YOUR SOLAR CONTROLLER?

  1. (Controller terminal side)Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until the plate inside the terminal moves downward.
  2. (wire)Please peel off the coating of the cable tip by about 8 to 10 mm
  3. Insert the wire into the new opening between the plate and the “top” of the terminal hole.
  4. When turning the adjuster clockwise, the plate moves upward and crushes the wire in the hole of the terminal.
  5. Make sure all connections going into and from the solar controller are tight.
Note: This solar controller charging is from high voltage to low voltage, please make sure the solar panel voltage is higher than the battery voltage, otherwise, it cannot be charged.Y H-12V-MPPT-Solar-Charge-Controller-fig-

Tip
After connecting the battery, the controller will automatically detect 12V/24V/36V/48V DC system voltage, the system defaults to a lead-acid battery, if it is another type of battery, you need to set the charging cut-off voltage.

LED lights use power

  • Load power should generally leave a 30% margin.
  • Example: 12V battery 100A controller, formula: 12V x 100A x 70% = load maximum power (W)
  • Because the battery voltage is floating, LED lights at different voltages will not be the same brightness.
  • Example: 12v lithium battery to 12v bulb power supply, lithium battery is full of 12.8v, this time the LED lights will be brighter, when the battery work discharge voltage drop, the voltage value is lower than 12v or 1lv, the light bulb will gradually become dark.
  • When the battery power is too low, the bulb may flicker or go out directly. This time indicates that the battery power is low.

When Wiring, Please

  1. Make sure your battery is at least 60% charged before connecting to the solar controller.
  2. Always connect and turn on your battery first! Wire your PV after the e LCD screen is powered on.
  3. Never connect your PV array to the solar controller when the LCD is OFF.
  4. Be careful your input power and voltage do not exceed the solar controller’s max value.
  5. Always connect the battery first, then the solar panel.Y H-12V-MPPT-Solar-Charge-Controller-fig- \(8\)

Important
During the operation of the controller, heat will be generated at the wiring terminal, incorrect wiring will cause safety hazards.

DO NOT

Y H-12V-MPPT-Solar-Charge-Controller-fig- \(9\)

  1. Don’t put the wire under the terminal’s plate.
  2. Don’t Put two or more wires in one terminal, each terminal only accepts one.
  3. Don’t expose copper outside the terminal; (The exposed copper wire needs to be tightly and completely connected to the terminal.)
  4. The wiring must be tight and not loose.
