GETTING STARTED
This quick start guide has basic information for the use and safe operation of
this machine. However, the owner’s manual has important, detailed information.
Carefully read both before using your new ProTeam vacuum.
CARTON CONTENTS:
QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS: PREPARING BATTERY PACK FOR
CHARGE: (1) Plug the charger’s power cord into the charger.
WARNING
To avoid damage to battery pack contacts, always check that the vacuum’s power
switch is OFF before disconnecting or reconnecting the battery pack. (2) When
connecting battery pack to vacuum or charger, firmly press into place. Install
battery on charger as shown. Plug the charger’s power cord into 120V wall
outlet. The LED lights will remain off until a battery is inserted into the
charger.
After inserting a battery into the charger, the charging indicator light will
flash green while charging and the full indicator light will turn green when
fully charged. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for approximate charge times.
NOTE: Batteries cannot be shipped fully charged, only partially charged.
Please follow these steps to fully charge your new battery. Verify the charge
level of the battery pack by pressing the power level indicator button on the
front of the battery pack. Four green lights indicate a fully charged battery.
Remove battery from charger and unplug cord from wall outlet after charging.
Battery pack may get warm while charging. Holding battery by the front handle,
carefully slide the battery into the vacuum’s lower housing, aligning the
slides of the battery and lower housing. Connectors are spring-loaded. Battery
will need to be pushed fully into position. BATTERY FUEL GAUGE
The battery fuel gauge indicates the approximate run time remaining on the
battery. When the test button is pressed, one to five indicators will light
up, indicating the approximate battery charge remaining as follows:
All 4 lights on: Full Charge
4 lights on: 80% – 100%
3 lights on: 60% – 80%
2 lights on: 40% – 60%
1 light on: 20%-40%
1 Flashing light on: Less than 20%
ATTACHING WAND AND TOOLS: For the standard configuration accessories,
follow these instructions. Different wands/ tools may have different
connections.
Fasten the ends of the wands together. Pull back to open purple latch on lower
half of the wand.
Find the notch on the inside of lower half and the groove on the outside of
the upper half – they must align. Insert the upper half into the lower by
aligning the notch and groove. To tighten into position, close the purple
latch when wand is at desired height. If wand does not stay at desired height,
pull open the purple latch, tighten the Phillips screw as necessary, and close
the purple latch again. Twist the wand into the end of the hose. Attach the
floor tool to end of wand. Align the brass ring with the groove on the floor
tool to ensure a secure fit. After inserting a battery pack into the lower
housing of the vacuum, press the power button once to turn on the vacuum on HI
mode. Press the power button a second time to turn the vacuum to LO mode.
Pressing the power button a third time will turn off the vacuum. Draw the top
of the wand in toward your waist and twist at the waist walking backward or
forward, in a side-to-side motion.
MAINTAINING YOUR VACUUM
POST THIS INFORMATION FOR REFERENCE NEAR THE LOCATION YOU STORE THE VACUUM.
SAFE CLEANING PRACTICES:
WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY REFER TO OWNER’S MANUAL
FOR ALL SAFETY WARNINGS! REVIEW the SAFETY LABEL on the vacuum. For additional
safety information, read the vacuum owner’s manual. DO NOT vacuum liquids or
expose the vacuum to rain or water.
DO NOT use the vacuum outdoors or on wet surfaces.
DO NOT handle the vacuum or battery pack with wet hands. DO NOT vacuum
flammable or combustible materials or anything that is burning or smoking,
such as cigarettes, matches or ashes. ALWAYS hold the plug, not the cord, when
plugging in or unplugging the battery charger.
WEARING THE VACUUM:
HARNESS HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Follow the purple numbers 1-4 for the perfect fit Upper harness should sit
between shoulder blades for most comfortable fit. The upper harness can be
adjusted by sliding the upper harness along the Quick Adjust track (See side
view of vacuum and harness to the left).
DO NOT adjust harness height while wearing the backpack. To move the upper harness, pull on the purple tab located
between the upper harness pad and the vacuum to release the locking feature
(A). Maintain upward pressure on this pull tab and slide the upper harness
identified with a purple “1”, to the desired location before releasing the tab
(B). Ensure the upper pad is locked by gently pulling on the carry handle to
make sure there is no further movement. Loosen the shoulder straps and the
waist belt. Lift the vacuum and slide your arms through the straps.Connect the waist strap. Tighten the waist belt by grabbing
the ends of the straps and pulling them toward each other and then directly
outward from the center of the body. It is very important that the weight of
the unit be concentrated on your hips rather than your shoulders. Adjust the
shoulder straps so that the unit fits comfortably, with the weight
concentrated on your hips. Connect the sternum strap and slide the strap up or
down on the sewn-in wire support for the best fit.
FILTER MAINTENANCE:
USE ONLY GENUINE PROTEAM FILTERS TO ENSURE OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE, IMPROVED
INDOOR AIR QUALITY AND MAINTAIN A VALID VACUUM WARRANTY.
-
**** INTERCEPT MICRO® FILTER
EMPTY and INSPECT the Intercept Micro Filter every time you start and finish vacuuming. Replace the filter if necessary. A clogged and dirty filter restricts airflow and results in overheating and reduced suction. To replace the Intercept Micro Filter, slide filter into Cloth Filter and secure into vacuum body. -
CLOTH FILTER WARNING:
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury, do not use the vacuum with a wet cloth filter bag or dome filter. Allow the filters to dry completely before reinstalling.
Once a month, or as necessary, hand or machine wash the cloth filter and let it AIR dry.
DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER. -
HEPA MEDIA DOME FILTER Once a week, or as necessary, inspect or replace the HEPA Media Dome Filter. First, remove the Intercept Micro Filter and Cloth Filter. Reach into the vacuum body and twist dome filter from motor.
