Quick Guide
Venus Control Suite Reporting
This guide is designed to help navigate the Reporting App inside Venus Control Suite. The types of reports offered by the app depend on the Venus package. This guide uses a Proof of Play report as an example of how to run a report in the Reporting App.
Accessing the Reporting App
- Login to Venus Control Suite.
- Click the Reporting App in the My Apps menu. Refer to Figure 1.
Run and Open a Proof of Play Report

Click Add New from the Reporting Landing Page.

Open the Report Type drop-down menu and select Proof Of Play Report. Refer to Figure 2.
Note: The subsequent Report Properties menu will be used to determine the parameters of the report. This menu can be seen in Figure 3.

Name the Proof Of Play Report or leave the default name in place.

Select which displays the report should be run on by clicking Select Displays and selecting the desired displays. Refer to Figure 4.
Note: This report will run for all displays in this account, as well as in any sub-accounts as a default. -
Indicate whether the report should Use Backup Players or not by selecting or deselecting the option. Refer to Figure 3.

Select which accounts the report should be run on by clicking Select Accounts and selecting the desired accounts. Refer to Figure 5.
Note: This report will run for all accounts as a default. -
Indicate whether the report should Include Unassociated Media or not by selecting or deselecting the option. Refer to Figure 3.

Select the grouping behavior Venus will use to sort the rows in the resulting Proof of Play Report.
• Grouping by Account can be helpful when the report will run on multiple displays across multiple accounts.
• Grouping by Display will sort proof of play logs by display in alphabetical order. -
Enter both the Start Time and End Time of the report. These times will determine when the report should begin and end.

Enter both the Start Date and End Date of the report. These dates will determine which days the report should begin and end.

Click Submit to begin running the report and to be sent back to the Reporting App landing page.

Select the new Proof Of Play report from the Reporting App landing page after the report finishes.
Print a Report
- Open the desired report from the Reporting App landing page.
- Click Print.
- Select either Print or Export to Excel.
- Follow either the printing instructions or the report to Excel.
Delete a Report
- Select the desired report(s) from the Reporting App landing page.
- Click Delete.
Media Association
Media Association allows users to associate individual or groups of media
files that are not managed by Venus (i.e. not uploaded to Venus using the
Media Library or Quick Uploads). The files that populate this list have a
title, but the content is unknown to Venus.
Media Association is only available to on-premise users. Follow these steps to
associate media with different accounts and tags:

Select Media Association. Refer to Figure 6.

Select the desired media file(s).

Select an account under Association in the slide-out, Item Properties menu. Refer to Figure 7.

Click Save. Refer to Figure 7.
