INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS P ONY VCF?
-
Pony Filter is a volume processor and VCF with a very small footprint.
-
A combination of VCF + VCA + Mixer that lets you blend three different sound sources, and shape their tone, and levels.
with frequency and Q temperature compensation. The output level is also compensated against resonance so the perceived volume does not fall when the Q. -
The Pony fi lter has the elegant sound of the classic transistor fi lter without the associated distortions, due to Dave Rossum’s “enhanced ladder” topology which fi rst appeared in the E 2100 voltage-controlled low-pass fi lter back in the mid-seventies.
-
It is built around the Sound Semiconductor SSI2144 FATKEYS™ chip.
-
There are three Audio INs available. Each of them is attenuated by his fader and then mixed. This sum goes to the filter where the signal is processed and sent to the VCA that is located at the end of the chain.

MANUAL CUT-OFF CONTROL
-
MANUAL RESONANCE CONTROL
-
CV IN 1 ATTENUATOR
Control the amount of CV that goes from CV1 IN to the Cut-Off. -
PEAK METER
Green Led indicates the presence of a signal. Red LED indicates saturation at the filter’s IN (after the Mixer). -
AUDIO MIXER VOLUME CONTROLS
Controls the volume of the three audion INs. The OUT signal is normalized to IN3 for easy feedback. -
AUDIO INs
-
CV1.
Controls Cut-Off / VCA Volume. -
CV2
Controls Cut-Off. -
RESONANCE CV IN
-
V OLUME CV IN
-
C V1 MODE SWITCH
Choose which signal will be sent to the normalization of the Volume CV IN jack [10]. If a jack is plugged into the Volume CV IN it disconnects from the switch so it has no eff ect.- On the lower position, a copy of CV1 is sent to the Volume CV so the VCA will only pass signal if a voltage is present at CV1.
- On the upper position, 10 volts are sent to the volume CV so the VCA will pass the signal through.
