USE
Indoor unit power on/off
Connect the included power adapter between the indoor unit power port (8)
and a wall socket. The indoor unit display lights up and emits a sound. It is
also recommended to insert 3x AAA into the indoor unit battery compartment (7)
if you want to keep your settings in case of power failure, or if the power
adapter is unplugged. Open the Battery lid (6) and insert the batteries into
the battery compartment, mind the polarity.
Note! The indoor unit can be operated using only batteries as power
source. You will, however, lose the ability to back up any settings if the
indoor unit loses power, and the backlight can only be activated temporarily.
Outdoor units batteries and pairing
Open the outdoor unit battery lid by pushing it downwards. Slide the
Channel selector switch (13) on each of the three outdoor units to an
individual channel, make sure not to set the same channel for two units.
Insert 2x AAA batteries in each of the three sensors battery compartment (14).
Mind the polarity. Keep the outdoor units close to the indoor unit when
pairing. The outdoor units pair automatically to the indoor unit within 3
minutes.
If one or more of the units are not automatically paired to the indoor unit,
remove the batteries from the disconnected outdoor unit. Press and hold the
Channel button (4) on the indoor unit, and insert the batteries into the
disconnected outdoor unit.
Note! It may take up to 3 hours for the outdoor units measured temperature to
reach the correct level. If you only want to use one of the three sensors, set
it to channel 1.
We recommend you to use lithium batteries in the outdoor units to avoid
changing the batteries too often.
Date and time
The indoor unit is equipped with a RCC signal receiver that automatically
searches for and sets the correct date and time for your time zone. The search
takes between 3 to 7 minutes, during which time the display turns off, the RCC
indicator lights up and the buttons on the back of the unit are disabled. If
the search fails you can re initiate the search by holding the Down button (3)
for 2 seconds.
Note! The RCC signal may be inaccessible if the indoor unit is placed behind a
thick wall or in a sub-level cellar. Try moving the indoor unit outdoors or
near a window if you are having trouble locating the signal.
If the search for RCC signal fails you need to set the date and time manually.
To manually set the date and time, press and hold the Settings button (1) for
3 seconds.
Change the flashing value on the display using the Up and Down buttons (2, 3),
and press the Settings button to continue to the next value. The order of
settings is: time zone > hours > minutes > year > month > day > 12/24 hour
clock > exit settings.
Wireless distance
The outdoor units can be installed up to 30 meters away from the indoor unit.
The wireless signal strength is greatly diminished if it needs to pass through
any material that can hinder an RF signal (i.e. metal, thick walls), or by
operating the weather station too close to other electrical appliances that
can cause wireless interference (i.e. TV set, microwave, FM radio).
- Install the indoor unit at least 1 meter away from other electrical appliances.
- If you’re having problems with wireless signal strength from an outdoor unit, try placing the indoor unit near a window with a clear line of sight to the outdoor sensor.
Use the wall mount fixture on the back of the outdoor units and
hang them on a nail or screw. The outdoor units are suitable to use outdoors,
but we recommended you to mount them in a place that is protected from rain
and direct, strong sunlight. Backlight
The backlight can be set to stay lit when the indoor unit is connected to
power. Press the Snooze/backlight button (5) multiple times to change the
brightness of the backlight with the available settings: high > low > off.
If the indoor unit is powered by batteries only, pressing the Backlight button
temporarily turns on the backlight for 10 seconds.
Alarm settings
Press the Settings button (1) to show the alarm settings. Press the Up or
Down button (2, 3) to activate or deactivate the alarm, the Alarm active
indicator lights up on the display.
To change the alarm time settings, press and hold the Settings button for 3
seconds when the alarm settings are shown on the display, the selected value
starts flashing.
Use the Up and Down buttons (2, 3) to change the value and confirm the time by
pressing the Settings button (1).
Press the Snooze/backlight button (5) when the alarm is triggered to pause the
alarm for 5 minutes. Deactivate the alarm by pressing any of the other buttons
on the indoor unit.
Weather forecast
The display shows a forecast for the next 12 hours using five images. The
available fore- casts are shown below, and they are calculated from changes in
barometric pressure. Temperature unit
Press the Up button (2) to change between showing the temperature in °C or °F.
Troubleshooting
The wireless connection is often lost.
Replace the batteries in the outdoor units and move the devices closer
together with a clear line of sight. Make sure the signal doesn’t have to pass
through thick materials that can hinder RF communication, or that the indoor
unit is placed close to other appli-ances that are known to disrupt wireless
communications.
To reconnect the outdoor unit again, remove the batteries from the outdoor
unit. Press and hold the Channel button (4) on the indoor unit, and insert the
batteries into the disconnected outdoor unit.
Safety information
Replace used batteries with new ones of the same type. Dispose of used
batteries according to local regulations.
