Assembly

Warning and Care/Maintenance

Warning: Insert the T bar(D) into the hole at the front of the deck as shown in the picture for pulling it on the go or storing it.

Care/Maintenance: Clean with a damp sponge or cloth. Do not submerge the item into water.

COMPONENTSQPlay-SEMA-Sema-Scooter-FIG2 Product Functions : Adjustment of T bar: T bar is adjustable to 3 height options. Loosen the clamp of the T-bar handle when adjusting. Double-check that the spring-loaded button is engaged and locked correctly in one of the 3 holes. Tighten the clamp to secure the T-bar handle after adjustment. Braking: A brake is located at the rear, when necessary press down on it to slow down. Press down gradually in order to prevent skidding or loss of stability. Clearly explain to the child how to stop the scooter before use. Lean-to- steer: Featuring Lean-to-Steer technology, this scooter is self-balancing. Instead of turning the handlebars, children can steer the scooter simply by leaning. This helps to develop their balance and coordination. When the scooter is used in Push mode (stages 1 & 2), please lock the steering system.

GENERAL WARNINGS ON USE OF THE PRODUCT

Read these instructions before use, follow them and keep them for reference. Prior to use, make sure that the product has been assembled properly. This product includes tightening devices based on bolt-nut coupling in order to allow the components dismantled. Those devices may lose efficiency and need periodic check of proper tightening. Make sure that all locking mechanisms are securely locked. The product should be used with caution since skill is required to avoid falls or collisions causing injury to the user or third parties. To use with suitable protective equipment, including a helmet, shoes, elbow, wrist and knee protectors. Teach the child how to use it safely and responsibly. Wear gym shoes and protective clothing. Use it exclusively on a flat, clean surface, free of gravel and grease. Avoid bumps and drainage grates that may cause an accident. Not suited for use at night or during periods when visibility is limited. Do not allow more than one child to ride the product at thesame time. Do not use on wet days, or on wet ground. It is dangerous to use the toy close to obstacles like steps, benches, etc. It is prohibited to use the product in descent as this is inappropriate and very dangerous. The task of teaching the child how to use the product is delegated to the expertise and responsibility of the parents or whoever is in charge of the child. Do not allow a child to use the product without assistance if he/she does not yet possess the necessary experience/skill and has not yet acquired the ability to master steering and balance. Children should be taught the importance of careful driving in order to avoid accidents involving themselves or others. The product can be dangerous and can cause traffic accidents when used on public highways. Don’t use on public roads.

CARE/ MAINTENANCE

Regular maintenance is a safety commitment:

Wheel bearings: avoid riding through water, oil or sand as this can damage wheel bearings.
Wheels: the wheels wear down with time and can be damaged if overly used on rough surfaces.

The back wheel on which the brake is applied is particularly affected after several hours of braking. In the interests of safety, they should be checked regularly and changed if necessary.
Modifications : the original product must by no means be modified except for the maintenance­

  • related changes mentioned in these instructions.

Nuts and axles: these should also be checked regularly. They can become loose after a while in which case they should be tightened. They can become worn and not tightened properly, in which case they should be replaced.

Cleaning: Clean with a damp sponge or cloth. Do not submerge the item into water.
