Specifications

Remote control

  • If the remote control is still ineffective when it is close to the machine, replace it with a new battery.
  • If the user does not use the remote control for a long time, remove the battery of the remote control.
  • Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations on battery disposal.

Turn on/off

  • First connect the signal cable on the back of the machine;
  • Plug in the power cord and the screen lights up to enter the power-on state;
  • In the power-on state, long press the knob on the panel (part introduction – NO.8) for about 2 seconds or press the on/off button on the remote control (corresponding to the icon of the remote control), the screen goes out, the machine will stop playing and turn off most of the power.
  • If you do not use the unit for a long period of time, separate the AC input power cord from the mains socket.

Selecting audio source

  • Short press the knob on the panel to enter the menu, select INPUTS, user can switch the audio input signal to “CD Player, USB input, Bluetooth input”.
  • User can press the input shortcut key on the remote control to switch the audio input signal to “CD Player, USB input, Bluetooth input”.

CD Playback

  • Switch the current music input signal to the CD player;
  • Take out the disc cover and disc pressure (part introduction – NO. 1 and 2), put in the CD disc and put back the disc pressure and disc cover, the machine will automatically enter into the playing state;
  • Take out the disc cover and the disc pressure (part introduction-NO.1 and 2), put in the CD disc and put back only the disc pressure, then long press the play/pause button on the panel (part introduction-NO.7), the machine enters into the playing state.

USB Playback

  • Switch the current music input signal to USB AUDIO;
  • Connect a device that supports USB Audio through the data cable;
  • After the device is connected, use the playback software to play the music output to “SMSL USB DAC”;

Bluetooth playback

  • First check if the Bluetooth antenna is correctly installed (part introduction – NO.18); Switch the current music input signal to BLUETOOTH;
  • At this time, the Bluetooth of this machine will always be in a searchable state, open the smart device to search;
  • Select “SMSL PL200” among the searched devices.
  • After the Bluetooth is connected, play the music on the smart device.

Stop

  • Press the stop button [    ] on the panel or remote control to stop the current  playback;
  • When you want to change the disc in CD playback state, please press the stop button on the panel or the remote control first to stop the current playback state.
  • When user want to change the disc in CD playback state, please press the stop button on the panel or on the remote control to stop the current disc playback first, and then take out the disc cover and disc pressure.

Pause Playback

During CD playback, if user want to interrupt the playback and enter the pause state for a short period of time, user can press [ ] on the panel or the remote control, at this time, the display shows PAUSE on the upper left side of the screen, and if user press the button again, it will return to normal playback state.

Previous Song

In the CD playback state, press the previous song button [ ] on the panel or remote control, if the playing time of the current song is less than 3 seconds, it will skip to the previous song. If the playing time of the current song is more than 5 seconds, it will go back to the beginning of the current song, and then press it again to skip to the previous song, which will interrupt the original purpose of the song and enter into the playback of the previous song.

Next Song

In the CD playback state, if you want to skip the current song, just press the next song button [ ] on the panel or remote control to skip to the next song, which interrupts the playback of the original song and enters into the playback of the next song.

Switching to a specific song

In the CD playback state, if you want to skip to the specified song, user can press the number combination on the remote control to tune to the specified song; if you want to tune to the twelfth song, you need to press “1” and “2” on the remote control.

Random Play

  • In the CD playing state, press the random play button [ ] on the remote control, the corresponding icon will be shown on the display. The machine will randomly play the disc songs until all the songs are played.
  • Press the random play button or stop button again to cancel the random play status.

Repeat Play

  • If user want to repeat the current song continuously, press the Repeat Play button on the remote control once, the display will show the icon [ ] . If you continuously replay the songs on the whole disc, press the Repeat Play button again and the display shows the [ ] icon. If you want to cancel the Repeat Play function, press the Repeat Play button again.

Display Time Setting

During CD playback, the display shows the playing time of the current song. To switch the display to show the remaining time of the current song, press the [DISP] key on the remote control once.To switch the display to show the remaining time of all songs, press the [DISP] key on the remote control again.

  • Short press the panel knob in the main interface or press the MENU button on the remote control to enter the setting menu interface.
  • Rotate the panel knob or the direction keys on the remote control: Up and down selections can be made.
  • Short press the knob or MENU button on the remote control: Confirm the selection. Long press the knob or the left direction button of the remote control: to return to the previous menu.

Mute

  • Press the mute button on the remote control in the playback state, the display shows the mute icon, at this time, RCA and XLR have no sound output.
  • In the mute state, press the mute button on the remote control again, the RCA and XLR resume the normal playback state.

PRE MODE

PRE MODE is the volume adjustment function switch for the output.

  • VARIABLE : The output volume is controlled.
  • FIXED : The output connector volume is fixed.
  • FIXED DSD BYPASS :
    Open the DSD direct access function. At this time, the volume of PCM or DSD is not adjusted. The output amplitude is fixed to about 3.7VRMS. When this function is opened, the DSD is not processed at all, and the output is directly output.

RESET

  • During Bluetooth input, long press the middle button of the knob, the system will only reset the Bluetooth pairing status;
  • During other input, long press the middle button of the knob, the system will clear all settings, including Bluetooth.

How to play MQA

  • PL200 support MQA decoding!
  • PL200’s MQA playback does not require the use of special playback software, such as foobar2000, Audirvanaplus only needs to support ASIO or WASAPI audio output, and when playing MQA audio, it is best to adjust the volume of the computer to the maximum,so that the audio output of the computer is in the best condition.
  • When playing an MQA file, the sampling rate of the original master recording is displayed.
