Product Usage Instructions

Preparation and Application

  • Cleaning: Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
  • Precautions: Keep away from sources of ignition, ensure good ventilation during application, wear gloves, goggles, and suitable protective clothing. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Keep out of reach of children.

Application Steps

  1. Step One: Clean the surface thoroughly removing all traces of greases, oils, dirt, grime, and unsound existing coatings.
  2. Step Two: Shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes. Apply sparingly from a distance of 6-10 inches.
  3. Step Three: Apply 2 to 3 light coats as necessary to achieve total and even coverage.

  • Step One

FLAWLESS LACQUER

USES

  • Ready for use on most bare and coated substrates, including wood, metals, plastics, and on such applications as protection of electronic components, paper documents etc.
  • For interior and exterior use.
  • Spray can application.
  • Do not apply when the air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 46°F or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

  • Clean the surface thoroughly removing all traces of greases, oils, dirt, grime and unsound existing coatings.
  • Shake can thoroughly.
  • Hold upright, and spray evenly onto the surface from a distance of 6-10 inches.
  • If nozzle blocks, invert can and pulse spray until clear.
  • Allow to dry for between 15 and 30 minutes.
  • When further coats are required, allow 20 minutes between applications.
  • Where over-coating of a previously applied alkyd coating is suspected, always test for suitably of use by applying several coats of clear acrylic lacquer in an inconspicuous area, and allow to dry thoroughly to establish absence of wrinkling and other surface defects.
  • After use, always invert can and depress actuator to prevent nozzle blockage.

CLEANING

  • Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly.
  • Clean equipment immediately after use with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
  • Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Flammable keep away from sources of ignition. Ensure good ventilation during application – use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

  • Wear gloves, goggles and suitable protective clothing.

  • In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Remove splashes from the skin with a recognised hand cleaner or plenty of soap and water.

  • Keep out of reach of children.

  • May cause drowsiness or dizziness.

  • Avoid breathing vapour/spray.

  • Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.

  • Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Contains acetone.
    CAUTION : Pressurised container: May burst if heated. Protect from sunlight. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 122°F. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.

  • Use only as directed.

  • Take special precautions during the surface preparation of pre 1960’s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.
