Thank you for selecting the Vantage® 180 X flashlight. As with any fine tool, reasonable care and maintenance of this product will provide years of dependable service. Please read this manual before using your Vantage® 180 X, it contains important safety and operating instructions and should be saved. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. BATTERY SAFETY

DO NOT MIX CR123A BATTERIES OF DIFFERENT BRANDS OR OLD WITH NEW BATTERIES. DO NOT RECHARGE CR123A. ONLY USE STREAMLIGHT, PANASONIC, OR SANYO SIZE CR123A; DURACELL 123A, OR ENERGIZER 123. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.

NOTICE
This product is not designed to use rechargeable CR123A batteries.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
Uses one SL-B26® rechargeable battery or two CR123A batteries. Unscrew the tail cap and remove the depleted battery(s), insert fresh battery(s) positive end first, and replace and tighten the tail cap (polarity is indicated on the outside of the flashlight).

SL-B26® USB BATTERY CHARGING
The Vantage® 180 X USB system ships with one SL-B26® battery with an integrated charge port.

NOTICE

  • Fully charge battery before first use.

To charge the SL-B26® battery, insert the micro-USB plug into the connector near the positive end of the battery. The battery may be left plugged into a micro-USB cable continuously, as there is no danger of overcharging.

LED Charge Indicators

  • Charging…Red LED is on
  • Charged…Green LED is on.

Charge time is approximately 5 hours when using Streamlight AC adapters.

GENERAL OPERATION

The switch is located on the side of the flashlight opposite the clip. The on/off switch operates with a single push for High mode and a second push (within 2 seconds) for Low mode. The Tail or Down light color can be selected by changing the position of the head from one side to the other. Tap switch from any “On” mode for “Off”. See table for mode-specific operation.

Integrated Clip and Turnout Gear Hook
The integrated clip can be adjusted as needed for optimum flashlight positioning and task lighting. The turnout gear hook is accessed by moving the head toward either side of the light. Lift the turnout gear hook upward from the flashlight body for use. Return the turnout gear hook to the storage position before moving the flashlight head to the straight position.

Helmet Mount
The Vantage® 180 X helmet mount is designed to allow hands-free use of the flashlight for task-specific lighting. The mount will fit the brim or shell of many different styles of helmets and protective headgear.

Mount Installation and Use

  1. Select the desired mounting location and orientation.
  2. Place the opening of the bracket onto the brim of the helmet/headgear.
  3. Tighten the two mounting screws to assure firm attachment.
  4. Attach the Vantage® 180 X by directing the flashlight clip into the open channel on the helmet mount and slide it until it locks into place.
  5. The Vantage® 180 X can be adjusted to provide illumination as needed.
  6. Release the Vantage® 180 X from the mount by depressing the lock bar and sliding the Vantage® 180 X free from the mount.

MAINTENANCE

It is important to keep the O-ring on the tail cap lubricated.

Streamlight flashlights are intended for use as high-intensity, heavy-duty, and portable light sources. The use of Streamlight flashlights for any purpose other than as light sources is specifically discouraged by the manufacturer. Streamlight specifically disclaims liability for other than recommended use.

NOTICE
Be sure to use only genuine Streamlight replacement parts to ensure product safety. Substitution may invalidate the product approval. Do not try to repair the unit yourself. Send to a qualified service facility or return it to the factory.

Streamlight Limited Lifetime Warranty

Streamlight warrants this product to be free of defects for a lifetime of use except for batteries and bulbs, abuse, and normal wear. We will repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of this product should we determine it to be defective. This limited lifetime warranty also excludes rechargeable batteries, chargers, switches, and electronics which have a 2-year warranty with proof of purchase. THIS IS THE ONLY WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED EXCEPT WHERE SUCH LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED BY LAW. You may have other specific legal rights which vary by jurisdiction.
