Overview:
This pre-construction bracket is designed for locating and Installing in-wall and In-ceiling speakers in new construction settings where Sheetrock is not yet installed.

Product Usage Instructions

Installing the Bracket:

Bracket Attachment Method:

  1. Verify that the bracket is suitable for the speaker being installed.
  2. Determine the wall/ceiling location for the speaker and choose the appropriate installation method.

Attaching Direct to Stud/Cable:
Locate the ring on the side of the bracket and secure it to a stud using a wood screw or to a cable with wire.

Attaching Using Bracket Wings:

  1. Attach the wings to the bracket and secure them to the studs to suspend the bracket in place before Sheetrock installation.
  2. Determine speaker location and stud arrangement.
  3. Secure wings to the studs using screws or nails.

Installing Bracket Wings:

  1. Position the wings alongside the bracket in place.

Removing Bracket Wings:

  1. Apply pressure to the centre lock tab with your thumb.
  2. Press in the pins on the wing to separate it from the bracket.
  3. Align the pins in the wing with the holes in the bracket.
  4. If needed, use a slotted screwdriver for additional pressure on the tab.
  5. Gently press the wing into place until the centre clip snaps in.

FAQ:

Q: Is it necessary to use both installation wings?
A: While both installation wings are provided, you may choose to use one or both depending on your installation requirements.

Installing the Bracket

Bracket Attachment Method

  1. Verify that the bracket is correct for the speaker being installed.
  2. Determine the wall/ceiling location for the speaker and identify which installation method works best for the location.

Attaching Direct to Stud/Cable

  1. Locate the ring on the side of the bracket based on the orientation. Using a wood screw, secure the bracket to a stud or secure it to a cable with a short section of wire.

Attaching Using Bracket Wings
Each bracket comes with a set of wings that snap onto the bracket and are then secured to the studs. These wings allow for the bracket to be suspended in place before the sheetrock is installed.

  1. Determine where the speaker will be located and observe how the studs are arranged.
  2. Secure the wings to the bracket orientated per the arrangement of the studs.
  3. Secure the wings to the studs using screws or nails.

Installing Bracket Wings

  1. Position the wings alongside the bracket in position.
  2. Align the pins in the wing with the holes in the bracket.
  3. Gently press the wing into place until the centre clip snaps.

Removing Bracket Wings

  1. Using your thumb, apply pressure to the concentric tab.
  2. Press the pins in the wing to separate the wing from the bracket.
  3. If more pressure is required on the tab a slotted screwdriver may be used.

NOTE: Be gentle when applying pressure with the screwdriver as to not break the lock tab.
