Product Overview
This smart radon gas detector is the new innovative fastest radon sensor, which has the highest sensitivity, 30cph/pCi/ I on the market today. This detector uses a pulsed ionization chamber and a special high-impedance differential amplifier circuit to offer the highest signal-to-noise ratio. It effectively detects the secondary charges that were generated from collisions with air and a particle caused by Radon or Radon’s progeny. The accuracy and precision are ±10% at 10pCi/I Each sensor has been individually calibrated by equipment which is already calibrated to traceable international standards.

Radon and Health
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas released in rock, soil, and
water that can build up to dangerous levels inside any home; this means new
and old homes, as well as sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or without a
basement. Radon gas is odorless and invisible and the only way to know if your
home has a radon problem is to detect it. Breathing radon can increase your
risk of lung cancer. Radon is the main cause of lung cancer among people who
do not smoke. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer for people who do.
Device Operation Guide
The device draws power from an external power source of DC 12V/2A. To connect to an outside power source use the DC 12V adaptor that comes with the device.
Turn ON/OFF:
Press and hold the power button to activate/ deactivate the device.
Measuring Mode:
- The measurements start autonomously after connecting the power supply. The first measurement result will be available as soon as the first sampling interval is accomplished within 10 minutes. The first accurate result is available after 1 hour of continuous monitoring.
- If the measured value is equal to or greater than 99.99pCi/L (3700Bq/m3), The reading will display OVER.
Backlit Display:
- Quick press the button 2 times to turn off the backlight, and press the button to turn on the backlight.
- OR control the backlight with the Tuya App.
Alarm Threshold Reset:
Press and hold both and buttons to enter resetting mode, see the below figure.
- Reset the alarm threshold value by alarm threshold indicator.
- Reset the alarm shutdown threshold value by the alarm shutdown threshold indicator.
- Press the button to increase the threshold value, and press the button to decrease the threshold value.
- Press the POWER button to save the changes and move to the next setting.
- Press the POWER button again to go back to the detection mode.
Default Alarm Threshold Value:
bad level is 2.7-4.0 pCi/L, and severe level above 4.0 pCi/L.
Alarm Length:
- When the radon level is detected above the fair level, the alarm will chirp for 20 seconds.
- When the radon level is detected greater than the poor level, the alarm will chirp for 60 seconds.
Wi-Fi Setting:
Quick press the POWER button 3 times to activate/ deactivate Wi-Fi. Quick
press the POWER button 5 times to reset Wi-Fi to the default factory setting.
Data Storage Capacity:
This device comes with a 128MB memory card, which can continuously store radon
data for 12 months and transfer the stored data to a PC.
Recommended Placement
- The proper placement of the radon gas detector should be roughly at the same height as a person’s head (breathing), ie – on the floor of a game room; on a table at an office; or a nightstand in a bedroom.
- Radon detector uses highly delicate sensors. It is strongly recommended to avoid exposing ventilation holes on the device to direct sunlight, as well as keep the device away from sources of strong electromagnetic radiation such as cell phones, computers, radios, and high-power electronic devices.
- In the case of dangerously high radon levels, it is necessary to fully and properly ventilate the venue and preferably locate the source of the gas leak and remove it if possible. Another option is to seal off the leak.
Measurement Instructions
- The device should be placed at a location that is representative of the indoor air quality of a room.
- Make sure the device is at least 59 inches/50cm from the floor and 15 cm from the wall because the wall itself could be the origin of the radon inside a room.
- Do not move the device during use. Vibration can cause the device to pause the measurement.
- Please place the device at a location with a good Wi-Fi connection so this device will send notifications to the App.

Breathing radon can increase your risk of lung cancer. Radon is the main cause of lung cancer among people who do not smoke. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer for people who do. EPA estimates that radon causes more than 20,000 deaths from lung cancer each year in the U.S. If you smoke and your home has a high radon level, your risk of lung cancer can increase even more.
