Description of the rollator
Safety
Warning: The rollator can provide assistance to a person with a maximum weight of 300 lbs. The maximum load of the basket of 11 lbs should not exceeded.
Follow the safety instructions
- Make sure the parking brake (“G”) is active when the rollator is parked.
- Check the handle height and make sure the height adjustment (“H”) is locked before use.
- Make sure the rollator is completely unfolded and locked into position with a “click” sound.
- Keep your hands away from the folding mechanism to avoid entrapment.
What not to do
- Do not use the rollator as a wheelchair.
- Do not sit on the rollator if the parking brake (“G”) is not active or if it is at an angle.
- Do not “drop” onto the seat (“C”).
- Do not hang any objects on the brake handles (“G”) or hand grips (“A”).
- Do not use the rollator if one wheel (“F” / “K”) is flat.
- Do not stand on the rollator or use it as a stepladder.
Assembly instructions
-
Remove the rollator from the packaging and remove the protective foils. Spread out the parts for assembly as shown. The seat (“C”) of the rollator lies flat.
-
Remove the two wing screws (“J”) on the frame of the rollator at the “RB” mark.
-
Now insert the rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“K”) with the marking “RB” into the frame at the corresponding marking “RB”. Both markings point to the outer side of the rollator.
-
Important: Make sure that the pictured marking on the rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“K”) is flush with the frame. This way, the wing bolt holes (“J”) will be flush with those on the frame.
-
Fasten the rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“K”) with the wing screws (“J”) loosened before.
-
Now repeat steps 2. – 5. for the second rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“K”) with mark “LB” on the other side of the frame.
-
Remove the wing screw (“E”) on the front wheel (“F”) with the marking “RF”.
-
Insert the front wheel (“F”) into the frame at the corresponding ” RF” mark.
-
Fasten the front wheel (“F”) with the previously loosened wing screw (“E”). The gray wing screw pointing inwards. When turning, the screw head will tighten in the frame.
-
Repeat steps 6. – 8. for the second front wheel (“F”) with the mark “LF” on the other side of the frame.
-
Put the rollator in an upright position and pull it apart by both handles (“A”). Push it down on both sides of the seat (“C”) as shown. Important: For the rollator to be fully unfolded, it must lock into place with a “click” sound.
-
Press and hold the gray height adjustment button (“H”) and insert the two handles (“A”) into the frame one after the other. Adjust the handles so that both sides are the same height.
-
Our recommendation: Fix the brake cables on both sides of the frame using the velcro tape as shown. Be careful not to cover any reflectors when doing this.
-
Attach the bag (“D”). Hook the tabs of the bag into the hooks provided.
Adjusting the height
Press the gray button on the height adjustment (“H”) on the frame of the rollator and adjust the handle to the appropriate height. Repeat for the other side. Make sure the gray buttons on both handles are locked. Make sure that both handles are set to the same height.
Handle height: 31.9 – 37 inch
Your ideal handle height
Adjust the handles (“A”)of the rollator so that they are at the height of your wrist when your arms are hanging. When you place your hand on the handle, your elbow should be slightly bent. If you find that you need to bend over or keep your arms bent at a right angle, adjust the height of the handles.
Brakes
-
Pull the brake handles (“G”) up to brake the rollator.
-
Push the brake handles (“G”) down to lock the rear wheels. In this position, the parking brake of the rollator is active. To release the parking brake again, pull the brake handles (“G”) upward.
Adjusting the brakes
To adjust the rear brake (“L”), adjust the adjustment screw and locking nut. These are located on the rear wheels (“K”) of the rollator. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise to increase the tension. Then secure the adjustment by turning the locking nut clockwise. Hold the adjustment screw in place while doing so.
Important
If the brake adjustment has been made so that the rear brake (“L”) is set too loose or too tight, this will affect the function of the brake. If the brake is set too tight, it could drag on the wheel. If the brake is set too loose, it could affect the operation of the brake.
Removable cane holder
-
Attach the cane holder (“I”) to the side of the frame in the provided position.
-
To do this, slide the cane holder (“I”) onto the holder from above.
Folding and storing the rollator
-
Pull the handle in the middle of the seat (“B”) firmly upwards to fold the rollator.
-
Continue to push the rollator on both sides of the frame.
Inflating the wheels
Open the valve to inflate the wheels. To do this, turn the cap counterclockwise. Inflate the wheels. Then screw the cap back onto the valves.
The valves on the wheels of this model are Schrader valves. To inflate the wheels use a manual air pump with the appropriate attachment.
Rear wheels (“J”): 20.3 – 29 psi
Front wheels (“F”): 24.7 – 31.9 psi
Maintenance
- Check the rollator at regular intervals for loose wing screws (“E” / “J”) and defective height adjustments (“H”).
- Periodically check for proper operation of the rear wheel brakes (“L”).
- Check the air in the tires (“F” / “K”) regularly and inflate them if necessary.
- Replace damaged or worn parts.
Cleaning
The rollator can be cleaned with a damp cloth / sponge and warm soapy water. If necessary, you can use an antibacterial surface cleaner. Dry the areas thoroughly afterwards. When cleaning, take care not to leave any residue on the seat and handles so that the surface does not become slippery in these areas. Do not use scouring pads or scrapers to avoid damaging the surface coating.
