Description of the Rollator
Safety
Warning: The rollator is designed for a maximum load of 240 lbs. The maximum load of the basket of 11 lbs should not be exceeded.
Observe the following safety instructions
- Ensure that the parking brake (“G”) is active when the rollator is parked.
- Check the handle height and make sure the height adjustments (“I”) are properly locked before use.
- Make sure the rollator is fully unfolded and locked into position with a “click” sound.
- Keep your hands away from the folding mechanism to avoid entrapment.
What not to do
- Do not sit on the rollator or use it like a wheelchair.
- Do not hang objects on the brake handle (“H”) or the handle (“A”).
- Do not stand on the rollator or use it as a stepladder.
Assembly instructions
-
Remove the rollator from the packaging and remove the protective foils. Spread out the parts for assembly as shown.
-
Remove the wing screws on the frame (“K”) marked “RB” on the rollator.
-
Insert the rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“L”) with the marking “RB” into the frame at the corresponding marking “RB”. Both markings point to the outer side of the rollator.
-
Fasten the rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“L”) with the previously loosened wing screw (“K”).
-
Repeat steps 2. – 4. for the second rear wheel axle with rear wheel (“L”) with the “LB” mark on the other side of the frame.
-
Remove the wing screw (“E”) from the front wheel (“F”) marked “RF”.
-
Insert the front wheel (“F”) into the frame at the corresponding mark “RF”.
-
Fasten the front wheel (“F”) with the previously loosened wing screw (“E”). The wing screw points inwards. When turning, the screw head tightens in the frame.
-
Repeat steps 6. – 8. for the second front wheel (“F”) with the “LF” mark on the other side of the frame.
-
Put the rollator in an upright position to unfold it. To do this, pull the “Pull” button (“J”).
Important: In order for the rollator to be completely unfolded, it must lock into position with a “click” sound. -
Open the gray height adjustment (“I”) on both sides of the frame.
-
Attach the handles and close the height adjustment (“I”) so that both sides are at the same height.
-
Our recommendation: Fix the brake cables on both sides of the frame using the velcro tape as shown.
-
Place the tray with an anti-slip mat (“B”) on the frame.
Adjusting the height
Open the gray height adjustment (“I”) and adjust the handle into an appropriate height. Repeat for the other side. Make sure the height adjustment on both sides are securely locked and closed. Make sure that the handle is set to the same height on both sides.
- Handle height: 35.4 – 40.2 inch
Your ideal handle height
Adjust the rollator so that your arms are slightly bending when holding onto
the handle (“A”). If you find that you need to bend over or keep your arms
bent too much, adjust the height of the handles.
Removable cup holder
- Attach the cup holder (“C”) to the basket in the provided position.
- 2. To do this, slide the cup holder (“C”) onto the bracket from above.
Brakes
- Pull the brake handle (“H”) upwards to brake the rollator.
- Push the brake handle (“H”) upwards and fix it with the parking brake (“G”) to lock the rear wheels. In this position, the parking brake of the rollator is active. To release the parking brake, push the brake handle up slightly and pull the parking brake forward.
Adjusting the brakes
To adjust the rear brake (“M”), adjust the adjustment screw and locking nut. These are located on the rear wheels (“L”) of the rollator. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise to increase the tension. Then secure the adjustment by turning the locking nut clockwise. Hold the adjustment screw in place while doing so.
Important
If the brake adjustment has been made so that the rear brake (“M”) is set
too loose or too tight, this will affect the function of the brake. If the
brake is adjusted too tight, it may drag on the wheel. If the brake is set too
loose, it could affect the operation of the brake.
Folding and storing the rollator
- Remove the tray (“B”). Then activate the parking brake (“G”) (See also chapter “Brakes” point 2.).
- Grasp the rollator by the handle (“A”) and tilt it in your direction so that it stands on the rear wheels (“L”).
- Pull the “Pull” button (“J”) so that the rollator folds up. If the rollator does not fold automatically, tilt it more.
- To unfold the rollator again, lift it slightly by the front edge of the basket (“D”). Important: For the rollator to be completely unfolded, it must lock into place with a “click” sound.
Maintenance
- Check the rollator periodically for loose wing screws (“E” / “K”) and defective height adjustments (“I”).
- Periodically check for proper operation of rear wheel brakes (“M”).
- Replace damaged or worn parts.
Cleaning
The rollator can be cleaned with a damp cloth/sponge and warm soapy water. If necessary, you can use an antibacterial surface cleaner. Dry the areas thoroughly afterwards. When cleaning, make sure not to leave any residue on the handle so that the surface does not become slippery. Do not use scouring pads or scrapers to avoid damaging the surface coating.
