Ri2000 Ink Chip and Bag Installation
Ink Chip Swap Instructions
To replace ink chip and ink bag on RI2000 ink cartridge with FIREBIRD ink and

To start this process, you will need:

Phillips Head Screwdriver| Flat Head Screwdriver| FIREBIRD Ri2000 Compatible

Procedure:
Note: Procedure is the same for W1 and W2

Open the Ink Cartridge
Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the 2 screws on the back of the cartridge. Use a flathead screwdriver to press in the locking tabs on either side of the cartridge.Ri1000 Chip and Ink Bag Installation
Hold each side of the ink cartridge and carefully lift the side without the chip to separate them. -
Replace Ricoh ink bag with FIREBIRD ink bag
Pull from the top of the original ink bag to separate it from the cartridge and the double-sided tape. Please do not squeeze the ink bag to avoid spills.Place the new FIREBIRD ink bag in the chip side of the cartridge with the label facing upright.
Note: Location of chip is indicated by green circle Ri1000 Chip and Ink Bag Installation -
Replacing Ricoh Chip with FIREBIRD Chip
To remove the chip, pull back the tab to the right of the cartridge and slide the chip up. To replace Ricoh chip with FIREBIRD chip, pull back right tab again and gently slide the FIREBIRD chip in.
Note: Make sure the serial number on the chip is facing upright when replacing.Line the three clips at the bottom of the cartridge up and press the two sides together to close the cartridge. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to replace the screws.
Tip: if there is already a FIREBIRD chip loaded, please replace it with a new one before the machine panel shows 10% left.
