Product Usage Instructions

Charging the Appliance

  1. Always place the trimmer in the base with the ‘I/0’ switch in the OFF position.
  2. The charging stand may become warm while charging, which is normal.
  3. Connect the adapter to the mains and insert the trimmer into the charging stand.
  4. Once fully charged, remove the trimmer from the stand and unplug the adapter.

Zero Gap Blade Adjustment

  1. Use the zero gap adjustment tool provided for this purpose.
  2. Loosen the tension screws using the screwdriver without removing them completely.
  3. Place the zero gap tool on the bottom of the blade and adjust the blades until they are aligned properly.
  4. Tighten the tension screws to hold the blade in place.
  5. Remove the zero-gap tool gently from the blade.

Maintenance

  1. Use the provided oil for lubricating the blades after each use.
  2. Do not use any other oil as it may affect the performance of the trimmer.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

IMPORTANT! Only use the adapter and attachments supplied with this appliance.

General

  • Always inspect the appliance before use to ensure the trimmer blades are free from hair, debris, etc.
  • Use on clean, dry hair that has been combed until tangle-free.

Charging the Appliance

  • Before using the appliance for the first time, charge the battery continuously for 3 hours. Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 completed charging and discharging cycles.
  • Plug the charging adapter into a suitable mains power socket connect it to the unit and switch it on.
  • Place a battery in each of the pockets of the charging stand and the trimmer into the central pocket.
  • The blue LED indicator light will flash when correctly connected to the mains power and will continuously flash until the battery has fully charged.
  • NOTE: Always place the trimmer in the base with the ‘I/0’ switch in the OFF position.
  • Charging is complete after 3 hours — the light will go from flashing blue to a solid blue to indicate charging is complete.
  • NOTE: The charging stand may become warm while charging. This is normal.
  • If the charging light starts to flash rapidly (more than 4 flashes per second) then the appliance is faulty.
  • If this happens then please stop charging and remove the adapter from the mains and contact the Conair Customer Care Line. (See the ‘UK After Sales Service’ section for further information).

BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  • The trimmer features removable and rechargeable batteries, so you can cut and style for extended amounts of time with minimal interruption.
  • NOTE: Make sure the trimmer switch is in the OFF position before removing or installing the battery.
  • To remove the battery, press on the two tabs toward the bottom of the unit and pull the battery out of the unit. Then place into charging stand.
  • To install a new battery, line up the tabs of the charged battery with the slots on the sides of the unit and slide up into the housing, pressing firmly until the battery clicks into place.

Zero Gap Replacement Tool

  • IMPORTANT! Only ever attempt to zero gap the blades using the adjustment tool provided, following the instructions very precisely.
  • The adjustment tool is required to adjust the blades to zero gap, to achieve a closer, more precise cut.

Zero Gap Tool with Screwdriver

  1. Step 1 Before placing the adjustment tool onto the blade, use the screwdriver provided to loosen the tension screws, without removing them completely from the blade holder.
  2. Step 2 Place the zero gap tool onto the bottom of the blade.
  3. Step 3 Push the zero gap tool up, so the moving blade sits closely with the top of the fixed blade.
    • IMPORTANT! Be sure the blades are aligned properly. The teeth of the smaller blade (cutter) should rest slightly below the upper edge of the larger blade.
  4. Step 4. Using the screwdriver, tighten the tension screws to hold the blade in place.
  5. Step 5 Remove the zero-gap tool from the blade by pushing it gently down.

REMOVABLE MAGNETIC HAIR POCKET

  • The top housing of the trimmer has a removable, magnetic door integrated into the top housing, allowing for easy access to clean the critical moving parts.
  • To remove the magnetic door, place fingers on the side tabs and pull straight away from the unit.
  • To clean internal moving parts, use compressed air or the included small cleaning brush to clear out hair from the housing after the magnetic door has been removed.
  • Once finished, carefully place the magnetic door back in its proper position. The magnets should pull the door back into place.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • To maintain correct performance, the blades must be regularly cleaned and oiled.
  • Brush away the hair from the blades using the cleaning brush provided.
  • It is recommended to oil the blades every time that the trimmer is used, using the oil provided. Never use any other product: this oil was formulated for high-speed trimmers, it does not evaporate or slow down the blades.

  • This BaByliss PRO appliance is guaranteed for professional use for 2 years and is only valid within the United Kingdom.

Exclusions
