Product Usage Instructions

Power Supply
To install the batteries, follow these steps:

  1. Open the battery compartment.
  2. Insert the batteries as indicated.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

Automatic Shut-Off
If the unit does not receive a laser beam for 6 minutes and no button is pressed, it will power off automatically. Check the battery status indication regularly.

Operation
To power on/off the receiver:

  1. Press the power button to toggle the receiver on or off.
  2. Upon powering on, all displays will briefly light up.
  3. The unit will automatically enter reception mode.

To select the receiving accuracy:

  1. Press the accuracy selection button to choose the desired mode.
  2. The selected mode will be saved automatically after 3 seconds.

To set the volume:

  1. Press the volume adjustment button to set the desired volume level.
  2. A beep will sound to confirm the volume change.

FAQ

  • Q: How do I know when to replace the batteries?

Power Supply

INSTALLATION OF THE BATTERIES

  • Open the battery compartment cover (13).
  • Insert 2 x AA Alkaline batteries according to the installation symbol (ensure correct polarity!). Close the cover.
  • In order to save battery power the receiver will automatically turn off if it has not received a laser scanning signal for 5 minutes.
  • When the battery symbol of the display starts flashing the batteries must be replaced.

AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
If the unit does not receive a laser beam for 6 min. and no button is pressed, it powers off automatically.

OPERATION

  • Power on/off the receiver
  • Press the button to power on/off the receiver.
  • First, all displays light up once briefly (fig. 1).
  • Then the unit automatically enters the reception mode (fig. 2).
  • Select the receiving accuracy
  • Press the button to select the accuracy mode requested.
  • The mode selected will be saved automatically after 3 sec. (fig. on the right)
  • Set the volume
  • Press the button to set the volume requested. (a beep sounds to confirm) (fig. on the right)
  • Switch on/off the lighting
  • Press the button to switch on/off the lighting.
  • Difference indication/unit setting
  • Press the key to successively set the units mm / in / in-fraction.
  • The difference from the 0-position to the laser line is displayed in the selected unit of measurement. RELATIVE 0-POSITION (REFERENCE POINT)
  • Within the range of ± 20 mm of the standard reference point (0-position), a relative 0-position can be set.
  • Press the „0SET“ button when the laser beam hits the receiving window (the „0SET“ symbol will flash on the display). This current position of the laser beam is now set as the relative 0 position on the receiver. Press the „0SET“ button to return to the default mode.

SAFETY NOTES

CARE AND CLEANING
Handle measuring instruments with care. Clean with a soft cloth only after any use. If necessary damp the cloth with some water. If the instrument is wet clean and dry it carefully. Pack it up only if it is perfectly dry. Transport in original container/case only.

Electromagnetic acceptability (EMC)
It cannot be completely excluded that this instrument will disturb other instruments (e.g. navigation systems); and will be disturbed by other instruments (e.g. intensive electromagnetic radiation near industrial facilities or radio transmitters).

The instrument has the CE mark according to EN 61010-1:2001 + corrig. 1+2.

WARRANTY

This product is warranted by the manufacturer to the original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for two (2) years from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, and upon proof of purchase, the product will be repaired or replaced (with the same or similar model at the manufacturer’s option), without charge for either parts or labor. In case of a defect please contact the dealer where you originally purchased this product. The warranty will not apply to this product if it has been misused, abused, or altered. Without limiting the foregoing, leakage of the battery, and bending or dropping the unit are presumed to be defects resulting from misuse or abuse.

  1. The user of this product is expected to follow the instructions given in the user manual. Although all instruments left our warehouse in perfect condition and adjustment the user is expected to carry out periodic checks of the product’s accuracy and general performance.
