HOW TO USE YOUR SPOTTING SCOPE

CAUTION:
Directly viewing the sun or any light source with this optical device can cause permanent eye damage.

SET UP AND MOUNTING

  1. Spread the tripod legs (A) and set the tripod on a firm support. Loosen the adjustment screw (B) to place mounting platform (C) in horizontal position, then rotate the screw to lock mounting platform.
  2. Position mounting shoe (D) of the spotting scope body on the platform (C) then tighten mounting screw (E) to firmly lock spotting scope body on the platform.
  3. Remove protective lens cap (F) on the objective (G) lens.

ATTACH EYEPIECE TO THE SPOTTING SCOPE BODY

  1. Remove dust cap (H) on the eyepiece adapt or (1) of the spotting scope body.
  2. Screw the eyepiece onto the eyepiece adapt or (I).

START THE OBSERVATION

Usage With Fixed Power Eyepiece

  1. Loosen adjustment screw (B) and turn the objective (G) of the spotting scope in the direction of the objective to be viewed.
  2. Look into the eyepiece, then turn focus knob (K) to focus the objective clearly.

Usage with zoom eyepiece

  1. Loosen the adjustment screw (B) and turn objective (G) of the spotting scope in the direction of the objective to be viewed.
  2. Rotate the zoom ring (L) of the eyepiece to the lowest magnification.
  3. Look into the eyepiece, then turn the focus knob (K) to focus object clearly.
  4. Rotate the zoom ring (L) to the desired magnification and adjust the object with focus knob (K) if necessary.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SPOTTING SCOPE

  1. Store your spotting scope with the protective lens cap (F) and the dust cap (H) on in a cool and moisture free environment.
  2. To clean the lenses, use a soft bristle brush to whisk off dust and dirt and then use a soft cloth moisture with alcohol. Wipe lenses from center outward and avoid touching the lens, as fingerprints will smear the lens.
  3. To clean body parts, use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild soap to remove dirt.
  4. Do not dismantle the spotting scope or the eyepieces. If they need repair or adjustment, please contact the BARSKA dealer in your country. For further details, please refer to the BARSKA warranty.

Congratulations on your purchase of a high quality product. Your optical device has been manufactured to meet the highest quality standards. To ensure proper usage, please follow the enclosed instructions manual.

This BARSKA® product is fully guaranteed against any manufacturing defects for 10 years from the date of purchase as long as it has been used under normal conditions. During this period, it is the distributors responsibility in each country to either repair or replace free of charge upon presentation of the original purchase receipt. This warranty is not transferable, will not be reissued and does not cover any damages caused by accident, misuse or unauthorized repair.

For repair service please bring your product back to the point of sale or contact your local distributor which you can locate in the yellow pages or on our website: www.barska.com.

All costs to and from the repair centre such as travel, carriage costs, postage, insurance charges, etc. are always at the expense of the owner. If the product repair costs are not covered by the warranty, the costs of evaluating the repairs, administrative and carriage costs are at the owners expense and are payable no later than upon delivery. In the event that the repair costs are not accepted by the owner, the owner can either abandon the product free of charge at the repair centre, or recover the non-repaired product by paying the cost for evaluating the repairs, administrative and carriage costs no later than upon delivery.
All other claims of any nature are not covered.
