Safety instructions

  • This unit can be used by children aged 8 and above and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the unit in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the unit. Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and supervised by an adult.
  • WARNING! Keep the unit and its cable out of the reach of babies, children under 8 years of age and pets at all times.
  • Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit. Serious burns may result from a hot unit being accidentally pulled or knocked off a table. Never leave the unit unattended during use or while it is cooling down.
  • Before connecting the unit to the mains socket, ensure the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the unit matches your local voltage.
  • This unit is intended for household use only and is designed for indoor use. This unit is not intended for industrial, commercial, or outdoor use. Do not use the unit for any purpose other than its intended use.
  • Never attempt to use this unit without the grill plate in place.
  • Do not let the power cable hang over the edge of the table or counter where it may be grabbed by children or accidentally tripped by anyone.
  • Unplug the unit from the mains outlet after each use. Never leave the unit unattended during use or while it is connected to the mains.
  • This unit is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
  • Place the unit on a stable, level and heat resistant surface, with adequate clearance on all sides. Do not cover the unit.
  • Never use the unit near any source of water or heavy moisture (e.g. near a swimming pool, bathtub, sink, or in a damp basement, etc.)
  • Keep the unit and its power cable away from heated surfaces, heat sources, direct sunlight, fire, flammable liquids or gases.
  • Use and store the unit indoors in temperate climates only.
  • Metal surfaces and surfaces marked with this symbol on the unit become hot during use. The heating element is subject to residual heat after use. Do not touch hot surfaces.

Fire or electric shock warnings

  • Do not use the unit if it has been dropped, if it shows visible signs of damage, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped into water. If this happens, contact our service centre or an authorized dealer for examination and repair.
  • Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. It does not contain any parts that can be repaired by the user. Only qualified personnel should repair the unit. Unauthorised repairs may result in significant safety risks to the user and will void the warranty.
  • WARNING! Risk of injury from improper use. Any accident and/or damage resulting from non-compliance with the above instructions is your responsibility. Neither ELECTRO DEPOT nor the dealer can accept any liability for damage to the unit or personal injury resulting from failure to observe the operating instructions.
  • This unit is intended for household use only. It is not suitable for use in similar applications, such as:
    • kitchen areas for staff in shops, offices and other work environments;
    • farm houses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

This product is guaranteed against faults caused by defects in manufacturing or the materials used for a period of two years, starting from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by failure to install the device correctly, incorrect use of the product, or excessive wear and tear.
