USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using the appliance for the first time, remove all packaging and thoroughly clean the appliance, blending containers, lid and locking cap as well as all accessories (see chapter “Cleaning and care”).
WARNING
- Be careful not to injure yourself on the sharp blade.
- The appliance is suitable for blending and chopping foods such as fruit, vegetables and nuts and for preparing juices, smoothies and shakes.
- The delivery scope includes two blending containers. A blending container made of high-quality Tritan (BPA-free) with a capacity of 1.75 l and an ON-THE-GO bottle made of high-quality Tritan with a capacity of 0.6 l and a separate blade unit. Both blending containers can be placed on the motor block, depending on the quantity of food to be prepared.
- Now fill with the ingredients. Pay attention to the maximum filling level mark on the blending containers.
- If you fill beyond the mark, it could overflow, depending on the consistency of the ingredients. For frothy foods, we advise that you only fill the jug halfway. Close the blending container with the lid and locking cap. The blender must also not be operated without liquid.
- To remove the lid of the 1.75 l blending jug, turn it to the right and lift it slightly. To remove the locking cap in the lid of the 1.75 l blending jug, turn it anti-clockwise. You can add other ingredients after removing the locking cap. Beware of splashes! We recommend stopping the motor before you remove the locking cap. When using the blender, always snap the locking cap back into place properly.
- Make sure the blade unit is securely attached (otherwise the blending container will not fit on the blender properly) and the blending container and lid are in the correct position before using the appliance.
NOTE
The motor block can only be switched on when the blending container and lid
are correctly attached. A safety cut-out function prevents operation without a
jug and lid.
After blending, wait for the blade to come to a standstill before removing the
lid.
START
Place one of the two blending jugs on the motor block. The large blending jug
can only be attached in one position (handle pointing to the front right).
Turn on the motor block by pressing the ON/OFF symbol at the top left edge of
the display. The display lights up. The top left edge of the display shows
which of the two supplied blending jugs has been placed on the motor block.
CONTROL
Select your program, manual speed setting or pulse function by turning the
wheel to the right or left. Press the wheel to confirm your selection.
If you want to go back one level in the menu selection, keep the wheel pressed
for approx. 1 second.
To end the blending process, briefly press the wheel, press the ON/OFF symbol,
pull out the mains plug.
ON-THE-GO BOTTLE
Fill with the ingredients and screw the blade unit fi rmly onto the ON-THE-GO
bottle up to the arrow.
Place the ON-THE-GO bottle on the motor block by turning it into the correct
position until it clicks. You can now start the blending process.
NOTE
The motor block can only be switched on when the ON-THE-GO bottle is correctly
attached. A safety cout-out function prevents operation without it.
PROGRAMS
The blender has 7 programs when the 1.75 l blending jug is attached and 5 programs when using the ON-THE-GO bottle:
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tamper
You can use the tamper to push any food that is stuck to the edge back to the
knife blade.
To do this, remove the locking cap from the tightly closed lid and insert the
tamper into the opening. Move the tamper along the walls and corners of the
jug to further crush the food. Snap the locking cap back into place correctly
before operating the appliance again.
Cleaning brush
The cleaning brush can be used to clean the blending jugs and the blade unit.
You can remove the blade unit for easier cleaning. The blade unit of the 1.75
l blending jug can be unscrewed more easily with the back of the cleaning
brush.
Standby mode
The appliance automatically switches to standby mode after 3 minutes. By
pressing the on/off switch the appliance reverts to function mode.
Memory function
The blender is equipped with a memory function. If a program is interrupted
less than 3 minutes, the blender displays the last selected setting after
restarting.
Overload protection
The appliance is equipped with overload protection. This prevents the motor
from being damaged if the load is too high. If the appliance switches off
during operation, proceed as follows:
- Press the on/off switch to switch off the appliance, pull out the mains plug and allow it to cool down for approx. 15–20 minutes.
- Reconnect the appliance to the power supply, switch it on by pressing the on/off switch and continue the blending process.
CLEANING AND CARE
ATTENTION
Before cleaning, pull out the mains plug. Never immerse the motor block in
water. Instead, just wipe the outside with a damp cloth and then rub it dry.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
WARNING
Be careful not to injure your-self on the sharp knife when cleaning the
blending jug. Use the cleaning program for easy cleaning of the blending
container.
To do this, fi ll the container with 200 ml of water and one drop of washing-up
liquid immediately after blending, place the lid with the locking cap on the
blending container and start the cleaning program.
At the end of the program, remove the jug and rinse with clear water.
