INTRODUCTION

Manual Ebeco F-10 self-confided heating-cable (E89 604 60)

Use-areas: Frost- protection for pipe and flexible tube, external and internal laying
Ebeco F-10 frost-protection cable is adapted mainly for water- and draining pipes, both external and internal. Due to the self-regulating construction, the heating cable can be cut and transposed for perfect adaption to the pipeline, without risk of overheating.
The cable changes the power output by itself after environmental temperature and the way it was installed. The cable always emits power and always gives heightened water temperature.
To get an energy-saving construction the heating cable is to be controlled by a thermostat (E 85 816 10). F-10 is meter-labelled and approved for drinking water including the accessories Silicon Connection/disconnection Set (89 604 19) and Supplementary Set F-10 (89 604 10).

Rating
At internal installation, the F-10 protects a 32 mm pipe with 20 mm insulation down to -30 °C. At external installation with the above conditions, the cable protects down to -20 °C. At higher power output demands or larger dimensions, make coils of the cable or install it double, alternately lay a thicker insulation.

The heating cables must have been connected at least 5 minutes before the current measurement. Note that the cables are self-limiting and therefore the amperage varies with the temperature. The heating cable installation must also be documented with a sketch or drawing showing cable lengths, the location of joints, feeds, etc.

Warranty certificate

Ebeco AB provides a 10-year product warranty for material defects on Ebeco-delivered products and accessories hereinafter referred to as the “Products”. If material defects should occur on the Products during the warranty period undertakes Ebeco AB to repair or offer a replacement product free of charge for the buyer.
Ebeco AB provides a 5-year product warranty for the included control.
The warranty only applies if the installation has been carried out by an authorized electrician according to current regulations and under assembly instructions issued by Ebeco. The warranty certificate including the test report must be filled in and together with a material specification be signed by the electrician who performed the installation. The heating cable installation must also be documented with a photo, sketch or drawing that shows the facility before covering.
The warranty does not apply to installations carried out by an unauthorized person electrician or if an unauthorized electrician has undertaken alterations or repairs. The warranty also does not apply if the fault has occurred as a result of the use of faulty materials and construction or as a result of assembly errors.
Nor covers damage caused by vandalism, fire, lightning, water damage or damages caused by negligence, abnormal use or as a result of an accident. If a material defect covered by the warranty occurs, Ebeco shall AB be notified of this before action is taken.
If the guarantee is to be claimed, the guarantee certificate must be attached to material specifications and a completed and signed test protocol must be presented.
