SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • Make sure the voltage of your mains supply matches the voltage requirements specified in the rating label of the appliance.

  • When using electrical and electronic appliances, basic precautions must always be followed to reduce the risk of
    fire, electrical shock, and injury.

  • This appliance is intended for outdoor use only.

  • This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the Technical Support Service of Cecotec or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.

  • This symbol means “do not cover”.

  • WARNING: to avoid overheating, do not cover the appliance.

  • The heating appliance must not be placed immediately below a socket outlet.

  • Do not use the heating appliance in the immediate vicinity of a bath, shower, or swimming pool.

  • Do not use this heating appliance if it has been dropped.

  • Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the heating appliance.

  • Use this heating appliance on a horizontal and stable surface, or fix it to the wall, as applicable.

  • Keep the device out of the reach of children under 3 years old, unless constantly supervised.

  • Children between 3 and 8 years old should only switch the appliance on or off when it has been placed in its normal, intended operating position and if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children between 3 and 8 years old should not plug in, adjust, and clean the appliance and should not carry out maintenance tasks.

  • WARNING: some of the product’s parts may become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention should be paid when children and/or vulnerable people are present.

  • WARNING: do not use this heating device in small rooms that are occupied by people who cannot leave the room by themselves, unless permanent supervision is provided.

  • WARNING: to reduce the risk of fire, keep textiles, curtains,

  • or other flammable material at least 1 m away from the air
    outlet.

  • Do not insert or allow objects to enter through the ventilation slots, as this may result in electric shock, fire, or damage to the appliance.

  • Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not expose the electrical connections to water. Always make sure that your hands are dry before operating or adjusting any switches on the product or touching the plug and socket.

  • Never leave the device unattended during use.

  • One of the most common causes of overheating is the building up of debris or fluff in the appliance. Be sure to clean these accumulations periodically by vacuuming the vents and grilles.

  • Do not place the appliance on carpets, and do not place the cable under carpets. Position the cord in such a way as to avoid obstructing passage and cause tripping hazards.

  • Do not store it until it cools down. Store it in a cool, dry place when not in use.

  • Do not use the heater with a timer or any other device that turns the heater on automatically.

  • WARNING: this heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature.

BEFORE USE

  • This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately

OPERATION

Base assembly

Make sure that the device is not connected to a mains socket during installation.

  1. Place the appliance on a horizontal and stable surface such as a table to mount the base. Fig. 5
  2. When assembling the body of the appliance, insert the four upper parts of the Base B into the corresponding holes in the Base. There are two connecting elements in Base B. Base B must be inserted into Base A, until you hear a “click”. Fig. 6
  3. Secure the base firmly with the nut in the centre. Fig. 7

Operation

  1. * During use, keep the appliance at a safe distance from flammable objects (e.g. curtains) and walls. **Fig. 8  

    **

    • Do not use the appliance on uneven surfaces or carpets.
    • In the event of a fall, the anti-tip safety device on the base will automatically switch off the appliance.
  2. Insert the plug into the power socket and press the power button, the power indicator and the high-power indicator will light up.

  3. If you press the power button for a second time, the high-power indicator and the
    appliance will turn off. The power indicator will remain illuminated until you unplug the appliance from the power socket.

  4. Press the power button to adjust the power:

    • Medium power: 500 W
    • High power: 1000 W
  5. Press the timer button repeatedly until the desired operating time is reached. The corresponding indicator will illuminate.

    • 0.5 hr = 30 min – 1 hr = 1 hour
    • 2 hr = 2 hours – 4 hr = 4 hours
  6. Press the timer button again to turn off the timer. The indicator light will go out.

  7. Press the oscillation button so that the body of the appliance oscillates at an angle of 80ºfrom right to left. The oscillator indicator light will illuminate.

  8. Press the oscillation button again to stop oscillation.

Note Do not stop the oscillation during operation or force the oscillation movement.

Remote control

  1. * The outdoor heater is equipped with a practical remote control for easy control and adjustment of the functions. The remote control offers the same functionality as the control panel built into the heater.
    • The remote control is powered by two AA batteries. To install or replace the batteries, follow the steps below:
  2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  3. Slide the cover in the direction indicated to open it.
  4. Insert the batteries, making sure that the poles are correctly aligned.
  5. Replace the battery compartment cover and slide it back into place.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

  • Switch off the appliance before servicing and allow it to cool down completely.
  • To keep the device clean, the outer casing can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth.
  • A mild detergent can be used if necessary. After cleaning, make sure that the appliance is dry.
  • Do not use abrasive products, as this may damage or deteriorate the appliance.
  • Although this appliance is approved for outdoor use, it must not get wet for safety reasons. Wait until the appliance is completely dry before using it.

Storage

  • Store the appliance in a safe, dry, and clean place if it is not going to be used during long periods of time.
  • To prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt, use the original packaging to store the appliance.
