INSTRUCTION

PLANNING FOR ACCESS AND VENTILATION
Place your Chilly GOAT on a flat, level surface. A concrete pad is ideal. Just be sure that the foundation can support the weight of the cold tub when filled with water.
When choosing a location, it’s also important to consider the length of the power cord and space for access and ventilation. The Chilly GOAT cord is 12 feet long. In addition, Master Spas recommends having 6 feet of clearance on the front side for adequate ventilation of the heat pump and 2 feet of access on the other sides.
Move your Chilly GOAT into place and wait 24 hours before beginning the start- up process.

ACCESSING EQUIPMENT

Remove one skirt cabinet panel, and one trim strip to access the equipment.
The equipment end panel will be the short side with the top deck, and it is the primary access point for most equipment and startup processes. First, unscrew the trim strip. Then, remove the panel by lifting up the section until it stops and then pulling the bottom outward at an angle to unhook it from the channel.
With skirt panel removed from the equipment end, check that all unions are secure. Also, check that all slice valves are open and in the up position.
These connections and valves can shift or loosen during the shipping process.

Before starting the filling process be sure to remove the filter.

SET UP DRAIN LINE

It is normal for there to be condensation. To protect your cold tub, you need to connect the manufacturer installed drain line.

You’ll find the drain line on the long side of the Chilly GOAT below the cabinet. Attach the provided clear 3/8” ID hose to couple and route the drain line away from the unit, making sure not to allow water to return toward the Chilly GOAT.

FILLING YOUR COLD TUB

Attach a pre-filter to your garden hose. Place the hose in the cold tub and turn on the water. Once the water reaches the minimum water level, turn off the water and remove the pre-filter.
Dip your filter fully down into the water and reinsert it into the filter housing.

CONNECTING TO THE SMART LIFE APP AND CONTROLLING YOUR COLD TUB

Your Chilly GOAT Cold Tub has a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity option. You can take advantage of this feature to control your heat pump and temperature setting.

To get started, while “NET” is flashing download the Smart Life app, which is available on the Google Play or Apple App stores. Sign up and register to create your account.
With your cold tub turned on, make sure that the circulation pump is moving water through the chiller.
Open the Smart Life app on your phone and log in to your account. Click the “+” in the upper right corner and select “Add Device.” Follow the directions on the app to add “Pool Heat Pump.”

NOTE: It might take several times to pair your cold tub depending on the strength of your Wi-Fi signal. Retry as needed or provide a stronger 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal to the area where the cold tub is located.
Once connected to the Smart Life app, reattach the short end access panel and begin chilling.
