INSTALLATION
SAFETY KNIFE HANDLING
Handling: To cut, unlock (Fig. 1). The blade can now be released using
the lever (Fig. 2) and cut into the material (e.g. bag) (Fig. 3). Important:
Never cut towards the body. After cutting, releasing the lever retracts the
blade. Lock the lever (Fig. 4).
Blade change: Fully pull out the lock (Fig. 5) and unfold the handle
completely (Fig. 6). Release the spring from the groove by applying light
pressure and by pressing it to the side (Fig. 7). Change the blade and put the
replacement precisely on the location lobes. Lock the spring (Fig. 8) and
swivel the lever back into the handle until it automatically locks into place
(Fig. 9). Unlock (Fig. 1) and test the lever to ensure that the blade
retraction works properly (Fig. 2). The knife is now ready to cut (Fig. 3).
Cleaning: To remove any dirt inside, open the knife as mentioned under
the blade change. Important: Remove the blade before cleaning! Use compressed
air, water (Fig. 10), alcohol, or acetone depending on the type of dirt. Dry
the blade, insert it back, and test the lever to ensure that the blade
retraction works properly. Frequent dishwasher cleaning shortens the life of
the knife. Any dishwasher agent used must be plastic and aluminum safe. The
aluminum handle may, however, still tarnish. Do not use acid or alkaline-based
cleaning agents or those containing active chlorine.
