Revio-868 SW
Operating instructions
General information
The Revio-868 SW is an flush mounted radio receiver. It is suitable for
control of 230 V-roller shutter, awning, Venetian blind drives and for any
switchable consumers at 230 AC supply voltage.
Intended use
The radio recipient must only be used to control 230 Volt roller shutter,
awning, Venetian blinds, for lighting facilities and for any switchable
electrical consumers with 230 V AC supply voltage that are equipped with elero
drives or that have been released by elero.
Other use, or use beyond this is not considered to be use for intended
purpose.
Third-party devices should only be connected after consultation with
specialised trade.
The Revio-868 SW must not be operated with the separating relay.
elero GmbH shall not be liable for damage caused by:
- Other use than described above
- Changes to the device
- Improper use
Please see the technical data contained in these operating instructions.
Notes on Radio Operation
CAUTION!
Observe the following safety instructions for radio operation!
Only use radio systems if they are allowed and can be operated without
interference.
- Please note that radio systems must not be operated in areas with an increased risk of interference (e.g. hospitals, airports, …).
- Remote control is permitted only for devices and equipment for which a malfunction of the transmitter or receiver does not give rise to a hazard to persons, animals or objects or where this safety risk is covered by other safety equipment.
Installation / Connection
Installation and connection
NOTE!
Before installation in the required assembly position, check that the
transmitter and receiver are functioning properly.
The flush-mounted socket has to be fixed so that the drill hole does not touch
any electrical lines.
Connection
You can find the structure of a controller on elero.de in the download area
under “Installation instructions and circuit diagrams”.
| WARNING!
---|---
Risk of injury due to electrocution!
• The connection must only be made by an authorized specialist!
• The device only offers protection against touch by the back of the hand,
no protection against accidental contact.
• Do not kink, shorten or extend the aerial.
• Only operate the learning buttonP with insulated tools (4 kV voltage
protection).
• Note the switching current of the device.
| PREREQUISITE!
Flush-mounted socket Ø 58 mm, 60 mm deep.
Connection
- Place the Revio-868 SW in the socket.
- Connect the stripped cable ends without connector sleeves as follows:
Connection of Operating Mode SW: Tubular drive or electrical consumer Connection of Venetian Blind Drive Connection of Tubular Drive
Best Use of the Radio Signal
Direction Assignment of the Outputs
Optimal use of the radio signal
- Do not kink the aerial.
- Do not shorten or extend the aerial.
- If reception is poor, adjust the antenna. position
- Install the antenna so that it is as exposed as possible.
- Antenna is not to rest on metal.
NOTE!
Radio systems, which operate on the same frequency, can lead to reception of
interferences.
Please note, that the range of the radio signal is limited by the government
and the built environment.
Direction Assignment of the Outputs
After the drive is connected, check the direction assignment of the outputs.
The first automatic run in programming mode must take place in the UP or
retraction direction.
If this is not the case, swap the connections at the outputs.
Explanation
Out ▲ ▼ connection terminal for drive/lighting facility/other electrical
consumers
The outputs are intended for the connection of a drive, lighting facility or
other electrical consumer.
The arrows indicate the running direction of the drive or the switching of the
output regarding the direction button of the transmitter.
▲ Retract connection for hanging
▼ Extend connection for hanging
When connecting a Venetian blind or a tubular motor, the running direction of
the hanging is to match the icons ▲▼.
For connection of a lighting facility or other electric consumer, the two
terminals can be connected to each other so that the load can be switched on
with the UP button as well as the DOWN button and is switched off with the
STOP button.
IN ▼ ▲ connection terminal for button
Connection terminals for a Venetian blind button, which corresponds to a
mutually locked button. A button push of less than 300 ms (millisecond) at the
external venetian blind button leads to a stop. If abutton is pushed for an
extended period, a running movement is started according to those of the
operating mode of the Revio-868 SW.
Operating Modes
Operating mode SW: no jumper
(electrical consumer)
Function: Activation times of the UP/DOWN outputs are not limited, i.e. the
relays do not switch off on their own.
- Output switches to self-maintenance at once with the UP/DOWN button
- Automatic turn at the end of the run if the shading position and the turning position is defined.
Operating Modes
Operating Mode RM: Jumper between RM and L
If a jumper is used between RM and L, the Revio-868 SW is in the roller
shutter/awning drive mode.
When operated via radio or connected button, the output is switched off for
300 seconds, so that the roller shutter/awning system can run its entire path.
Operating Mode JA: Jumper between JA and L
If a jumper is used between JA and L, the Revio-868 SW is in the Venetian
blind drive mode.
When operated via the radio or the connected button for less than 3 seconds, a
Venetian blind system can be controlled in stepping mode. If the button is
pushed for more than 3 seconds, the output is switched on for 300 seconds, so
that the Venetian blind system can run its entire path.
Operating Modes
Change of the operating mode
A change between the operating modes SW / RM / JA is only possible wit the
Revio-868 SW deleted completely after restart.
The following procedure must be complied with to change the operating mode:
- Delete Revio-868 SW completely: At a programmed transmitter, pushed the buttons UP, DOWN, STOP and P for at least 6 seconds.
- Disconnect Revio-868 SW from the supply voltage.
- Insert jumper depending on operating mode.
- Connect Revio-868 SW to the supply voltage.
- Programme desired transmitter(s)
P button
Pushing the P-button for at least 1 second and re-establishing of the mains
starts the Revio-868 SW and it is then ready for programming for 5 minutes.
Commissioning
(connection of a tubular or Venetian blind motor)
PREREQUISITE!
The Revio-868 SW is installed (→ see chapter on connection of RM/JA) The end
positions must be set.
Any jumpers for Venetian blind or tubular drive that must be wired must be wired before programming of transmitters.
- When the power supply is restored or by pressing the P-button (min. 5 Sec) on the Revio-868 SW, the device is ready to pro- gramme for 5 minutes.
- Program the transmitter (→ see transmitter instructions).
