Check that the exterior of the cardboard delivery packaging is intact and make sure that all contents are present. Before use, ensure that there is no visible damage to the device or accessories and that all packaging material has been removed. If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact your retailer or the specified Customer Services address.

WARNINGS AND SAFETY NOTES

  • The device must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed and in the manner specified in these instructions for use.

  • This device may be used by children over the age of 8 and by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental skills, or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, provided that they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the device safely, and have understood the risks involved.

  • Children must not play with the device.

  • Danger of suffocation! Keep packaging materials away from children.

  • Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless supervised.

  • This device is intended for use in commercial and private environments.

  • When the device is in operation, only hold it by the handle (13).

  • If the device is not used in the manner specified by the manufacturer, safety cannot be guaranteed.

  • Do not cover the dryer with towels or other objects while it is in operation or still hot.

  • The air supply must not be obstructed during use. Regularly check that it is clean and free of hair.

  • Do not use this device near bathtubs, shower trays or other containers which have water in them.

  • Risk of electric shock! Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! If the device falls into water, do not reach into the water! First switch off the fuse at the fuse box and then pull the mains plug out of the socket.

  • Never touch the device with wet or damp hands or feet.

  • If using the hair dryer in the bathroom, unplug it after use – this is because proximity to water constitutes a danger even when the hair dryer is switched off.

  • As an additional safety measure, the installation in the bathroom circuit of a residual current device (FI/RCD) with a rated tripping current not exceeding 30 mA is recommended. Ask your installer for advice.

  • Before use, always check whether the voltage of your mains network matches the voltage required for the hair dryer.

  • If the mains connection cable of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or a similarly qualified person to avoid any risk. Do not use the device if it is damaged or not functioning correctly.

  • Do not pull, twist or bend the mains cable 9 ! Do not wrap the mains cable 9 around the hair dryer!

  • Do not use extension cables.

  • Always prevent the cable from coming into contact with hot surfaces.

  • Risk of fire! Ensure that the air outlet opening 12 and the removable filter 7 are not covered.

  • Risk of burns and fire! The diffuser 10 , the professional nozzle 11 and the hair dryer may become very hot depending on the switch setting and period of use.

  • Keep the hot device away from easily damaged surfaces and the skin.

  • Do not touch the diffuser 10 and the professional nozzle 11 during use, as they will heat up.

  • The device must not be connected to the mains when performing maintenance work and exchanging the nozzle and diffuser.

  • Never use the cable to pull the plug out of the socket.

    Device Description

USAGE

  1. Wash hair as usual and then dry with a towel. Hairsprays contain flammable substances, so do not use hairspray while using the device.
  2. Stand on a dry, non-conductive surface and make sure your hands are dry.
  3. To switch on the hair dryer, slide the ON/OFF switch 1 up to setting I. The hair dryer displays the warm air and blower settings that were last used.
  4. Use the warm air button 2 to set the desired temperature setting. The warm air indicator 3 shows the current setting in colour.

Alternatively, press and hold the cold air button 6 to use the cold air setting. The warm air indicator 3 goes out.

  1. Use the blower button 4 to set the desired setting. The blower indicator 5 shows the current setting in colour.

  2. Dry and/or style your hair as you wish.
  3. Switch off the hair dryer after each use or upon interruption. To switch off the hair dryer, slide the ON/OFF switch 1 down to setting 0. The warm air indicator 3 and the blower indicator 5 go out.
  4. Do not leave the hair dryer unattended while in use.
  5. Remove the mains plug from the socket.
  6. Allow the hair dryer to cool completely on a fireproof surface.
  7. Then store the device in the sales packaging.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

symbolAs soon as the hair dryer has reached 1,500 minutes of use, the three LEDs of the blower indicator 5 flash simultaneously.
This indicates that you need to clean the hair dryer. The LEDs of the blower indicator 5 flash six times and then return to normal operation.

  1. Disconnect the mains plug and leave the device to cool.

  2. Never store a hot device that is still plugged in.

  3. Pull the filter 7 off horizontally ( see figure A on inside cover).

  4. Remove the inner filter from the outer filter using the metal handle ( see figure B ). The accumulated dust and lint can be removed by hand. The outer filter can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Dry the clean outer filter completely with a cloth.

  5. Clean the inner filter with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Then allow the inner filter to dry completely.

  6. Put the inner filter back in the outer filter.

  7. Place the filter 7 back on the device horizontally until it clicks into place.

DISPOSAL

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its service life. Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country. Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal. You can obtain the location of collection points for old devices from the local or municipal authorities, local waste disposal companies or your retailer, for example.
