Traffic Rules
- ALWAYS obey all applicable local and national laws and regulations while riding.
- DO NOT allow use by children or persons unfamiliar with this bicycle or these instructions. Do not ride this bicycle while you are tired or under the influence of drugs or medication.
- It is advisable to equip your bicycle with a warning device such as a horn, bell, or light in case you are riding at times of poor visibility. This is even required in some jurisdictions.
- ALWAYS be alert for people, animals, or any obstacles that may appear in front of you while riding your bicycle. Also be careful of passing parked cars, whose doors might open suddenly. It is advisable to install warning devices to draw their attention, but always be ready to turn safely out of their way if needed.
- Be careful at road and rail crossings. Slow down and check both ways for oncoming traffic.
Weather and Clothing
- In wet weather, be careful to avoid sharp turns, which are easy to cause an accidental fall.
- We DO NOT recommend riding your bicycle at night. If you have an emergency that makes it necessary to ride at night, be sure to have proper lights and reflectors. DO NOT ride at night without lights or reflectors.
- ALWAYS wear a helmet and other required protective gear that meet safety standards when riding.
- DO NOT wear loose footwear or clothing that may become caught in the wheels or any other moving parts.
Safety Checks
- Check whether the brakes are positioned properly before riding.
- Regularly check the light(s) and reflectors to make sure that they are clean, straight, unbroken, and securely mounted. Riding with low light or without lights or reflectors is extremely dangerous.
- Regularly check whether all fasteners and components are intact and securely tightened.
- If any part does not operate properly, discontinue use until its replacement.
- Replace worn or broken parts immediately, especially bent or broken spokes and bent or damaged wheel rims. Never replace any parts with nonidentical ones.
Sensible Use
- DO NOT push backward on the pedals when using the shifting system. Otherwise, the chain may get stuck, causing serious damage to the bike.
- Be mindful of your speed. Ensure you have sufficient room to brake in an emergency.
- Allow more distance for braking when riding through leaves, loose gravel, or other debris as these can also affect the stopping power of your brakes.
- DO NOT carry packages or objects on your bicycle in a way that obstructs your view of the road.

- Installing the Front Wheel
- Use an M15 open-end or box wrench* to remove the 2 sets of nuts and washers from the front wheel axle and then disconnect the tabbed spacers from both sides. Place them nearby.
- Insert the front wheel into the front fork, allowing its axle to be snugly held.
- Replace either spacer to either side of the wheel hub, inserting its tab into the hole on the fork.
- Place the front fender behind the wheel on the surface you are working on and then fit its stay onto the spacer and wheel axle as shown.
- Replace a set of washers and nuts onto this side of the wheel, tightening the nut with your wrench.
- Repeat Steps 3–5 for the other side.
- Installing the Front Fender
- Remove the nut, washer, and long bolt from the top hole of the front fork with an M10 open-end or box wrench*. Place them nearby.
- Insert the front fender through the front fork and V-shaped front brake caliper, aligning its connecting plate with the fork’s top hole.
- Replace the long bolt, washer, and nut, tightening the nut with your wrench.
- Installing the Handlebars warning: Handle the exposed steerer tube carefully to avoid injury.
- Remove the protective cover underneath the steerer tube of the handlebars.
- Loosen the bolt on the top of the steerer tube with an M6 hex wrench*.
- Slide the steerer tube into the head tube of the main frame until your desired height is reached.
- Adjust the angle of the handlebars until they become perpendicular to the front wheel.
- Retighten the top bolt to secure the handlebars to the head tube.
- Loosen the bolt on the front of the handlebars’ headset in the same fashion.
- Lift the grips to an appropriate position, retightening the front bolt to lock the headset completely.
- Installing the Front Brake
- Remove the cable from the V-shaped front brake caliper as shown.
- Pull out the brake cable, press the brake lever towards the grip, and put it into the brake lever slot. Release the brake lever.
- Loosen the locking bolts on both sides of the brake with an M5 hex wrench* and align the brake pads on both sides with the rim.
- Push the right brake pad towards the rim with one hand and meanwhile pull the other brake pad towards the rim by pulling the brake cable until both brake pads touch the rim. Secure the cable in the cable anchor as shown. Retighten the locking bolts with your hex wrench.
- Installing the Rear Brake
- Pull out the brake cable and put it into the brake lever slots. Make sure the brake cable remains straight.
- Loosen the locking bolts on both sides of the V-shaped rear brake caliper with an M5 hex wrench* and align the brake pads on both sides with the rim.
- Straighten the brake cable, squeeze the brake pads of both sides towards the rim with one hand, and meanwhile use your hex wrench to retighten the locking bolts with the other.
- Installing the Saddle
- Insert the saddle post into the central hole at the bottom of the saddle. Tighten the nuts at both sides with an M13 open-end or box wrench* to secure the saddle.
- Slide the saddle post down into the seat tube until your preferred height is reached.
- Rotate the locking handle at the top of the seat tube until the saddle post is securely fastened.
- To adjust the saddle forward or backward, loosen the above-mentioned nuts with your wrench, slide the saddle on its support frame until your desired position is reached, and retighten the nuts. Confirm they hold tight and the saddle does not show any wobble.
- Installing the Pedals
- Identify the separate pedals, which ARE different and should NOT be mixed up. The left pedal is marked with an L and the right with an R.
- Attach each pedal to the appropriate crank arm, screwing each into place.
- Tighten the pedals’ locking nuts with an M15 open-end or box wrench*.
- Test that the pedals are securely fastened and rotate freely.
- Installing the Rear Reflector
- Remove the nut from the back of the rear reflector.
- Insert the bolt of the rear reflector into the hole on the rear fender while reaching underneath to fasten it with the nut.
- Installing the Basket
- Remove the front wheel nuts with an M15 open-end or box wrench.*
- Place the basket support on the front wheel bolts facing upwards. Replace the nuts.
- Remove the bolts and nuts from the top of the basket support with an M10 open-end or box wrench* and Phillips screwdriver. Place the basket on top of the frame and place one of the basket plates inside the basket over the holes in the bottom. Testing the Tires
The inner tubes of a brand-new bike may be sandwiched between the rims and outer covers of tires. If you are riding the bike for the first time, make sure that you don’t see any inner tube outside before you inflate them.
Tips
- When riding at high speed for the first time, do so on level ground and test the braking system to make sure all fasteners are firmly tightened. Use protective paint to replace any wear or damage to your bike’s coat, especially if you live in areas of high humidity.
- Regular maintenance will extend the bike’s life. Check and ensure all screws, bolts, and parts hold firmly after the first 30 days.
Maintenance
- Check the parts of the bicycle for any looseness, stiffness, wear, or damage after each use. Tighten, lubricate, repair, or replace any problematic parts before further use. Only replace components of this bicycle and its accessories with identical parts.
- The exterior of the bicycle can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. Do not use harsh abrasives or caustic chemicals.
- If the bicycle will not be used for an extended period, store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and inaccessible to children.
