Operation

Riding with Manual Control
To ride your bike normally, simply leave the display panel or battery turned off. You can also ride normally with the display turned on by downshifting the motorized wheel to neutral (“0”). The shifter on the handlebar offers 7 gears during manual control.
Riding with Throttle Control

  1. Hold until the display panel turns on.

  2. Turn the throttle on the right handlebar to activate the motorized wheel.

  3. To speed up, turn the throttle further. The bicycle will not exceed the speed limit you have set (see below) on flat pavement but may do so on slopes.
To slow down, ease the throttle back and/or press your brake levers. Pressing either brake lever completely will cut off all power from your battery to the motorized wheel, temporarily leaving it in neutral. Release the brake to restore power at its previous level.
To toggle to pedal assist control during a ride, fully release the throttle while pedaling your bike.

  4. To stop your bicycle, release the throttle completely and apply your brakes as needed.

  5. To turn off the motorized wheel, release the throttle and brake levers while the bike is completely stopped. Hold until the display panel turns off.

Riding with Pedal Assist Control

  1. Make sure the throttle is fully released.
  2. If the display panel is not currently on, hold until it is.
  3. Press + or − to select your desired pedal assist level. Pressing + shifts up one level (e.g., 3 to 4). Pressing − shifts down one level (e.g., 3 to 2). Downshifting from 1 to 0 puts the motorized wheel in neutral. Upshifting from neutral restores the 1st level of pedal assist control.
  4. Turn the pedals on your bicycle once. The pedal assist system (PAS) will activate and turn the wheels using the motor’s power immediately, accelerating the bike to the maximum speed at its current level. The default settings are:
Gear 0 1 2 3 4 5

Max Speed

| (mph)| —| 12| 14| 16| 18| 20
(km/h)| —| 19| 22| 25| 29| 32

Turn off the pedal assist system by turning the throttle, pressing either the brake lever or downshifting to “0”. The bike will default to throttle control or neutral.

Pushing with Push Assist

  1. Stand beside the bike. If the display panel is not currently on, hold until it is.
  2. Hold – to activate the bike’s Push Assist. While is displayed, pushing your bicycle forward will cause the motor to activate at a speed of 3.5 mph (6 km/h).
  3. If the Push Assist has been deactivated and you wish to use it, hold + and – simultaneously until “tC” is displayed. Hold + and – again until “VOL” is displayed. Press + or – until “SYS” is displayed. Press i twice and then press + or – until “P-Y” is displayed. Confirm your changes by holding I and then following the instructions above.
