Installation

Before you begin

• Ensure the device is in good condition.
• Power off all related equipment during installation.
• Check the product specification for the installation environment.

Wall Mounting Steps

1. Fix the DIN rail onto the wall using a matched DIN rail.
2. Press the red clip upward and lock it to the DIN rail.

DS-KAD7061EY Distributor

• Each DS-KAD7061EY distributor can wire up to 4 indoor stations.

Cable Type Description:

• DS-KAD7061EY to Main Indoor Station
• DS-KAD7061EY to DS-KAD7060EY Distributor or Power Module/DS-KAD7060EY-S
• DS-KAD7060EY Distributor to Door Station
• Door Station to Lock (Power Supply)

Supply power and network for cascaded devices (door station, indoor station, and DS-KAD7061EY distributor).
Chain connecting among different DS-KAD7060EY distributors.

DS-KAD7061EY Distributor

Distribute network for connecting more indoor stations.

DS-KAD7060EY-S Distributor

Supply only network for cascaded devices (DS-KAD7060EY distributor only). Connect multiple DS-KAD7060EY distributors.

The DS-KAD7060EY distributor supplys power to indoor stations and distributors of Hikvision, which should be used with DS-KH7300EY-TE2/DS-KH7300EY-WTE2 indoor stations, DS-KD7003EY-IME2 door station and DS-KAD7061EY distributor.

Tips for Cables and Wiring

Cables and Wiring

• When there are multiple cores in one parallel line, only one pair of closed cores are allowed to transmit signal. It is not allowed to use multiple pair of cores in one cable to transmit signal.

• When using parallel lines, it is suggested to use those with shielding layer. If dual core or multiple core parallel lines without shielding layer are routed, stability of signal transmission can be effected.
  You need to run a test before installation.

• Impedance of cable should not be over suggested value, or distributor cannot transmit enough power to indoor station or door station.

• Strong electricity and weak electricity cannot be wired in the same route, they need to be wired separately and the distance should be more than 0.5 meter.

• All the cables used need to follow the restriction in the following table.

Device Wiring

• Installation environment (temperature, moisture etc.) needs to follow requirements in specification or power output can be effected.
• Power consumption of each modular door station (main module and sub modules) should be less than 15 W. Please reach local technical support if you are not sure about power consumption of each module. Door station should be connected to CH1 and CH2 of the video/audio distributor.
• Indoor station should be connected to CH3 to CH6 of the video/audio distributor

Wall Mounting Steps

1. Fix the DIN rail onto the wall.
   You are required to utilize a matched DIN rail.

2. Press the red clip upward, and lock it to the DIN rail.

If a power adapter is provided in the device package, use the provided adapter only. If no power adapter is provided, ensure the power adapter or other power supply complies with Limited Power Source. Refer to the product label for the power supply output parameters.
