Setting Up the DMX Controller:
To set up the DMX controller, follow these steps:

  • WARNING!
    Before use) and before installing this fixture, read carefully user manual, and follow the safety precautions listed on this page.

  • WARNING!

    • ALWAYS disconnect the fixture from power for servicing, for cleaning or installing. Do not connect this unit on a dimmer power pack.
    • Protect the unit from rain or moisture.
  • Locate the fixture in a well ventilated spot, away from flammable materials. The fixture must be fixed at least 50cm from surrounding walls .

  • WARNING!

    • Burn Hazard. Do not touch. Very hot surface.
    • The fixture becomes hot during use and remains hot 10 min after use. Do not touch the unit.

    • Keep flammable materials away from the fixture. Do not operate the fixture with ambient temperature over 40°c .
  • DANGER!

    • Safety Hazard. Risk of injury.
    • This unit must be installed by professional people. If suspended, make sure the structure and the hardware used for this suspension is secured. This Hardware must support at least 10 times the weight of the device suspended.
    • Ensure public is not looking at the beam. Do not try to repair the fixture by yourself. Contact a professional repair service.
  • Never sever or manipulate the power cord or the plug. If a power cord is provided with an earth lead, this is manda­tory to ensure safe operation! Otherwise a LIFE THREATENING situation exists!

  • Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Never put a damaged device into operation.

  • Before operating, ensure that the voltage and frequency of power supply match the power requirements of the unit as stated in this manual.

  • The unit must only be installed in a location with adequate ventilation. Be sure that no ventilation slots are blocked. In order to guarantee adequate ventilation, allow a free air space of at least 20 cm around the sides and top of the unit.

  • Disconnect the device from the mains power before any servicing or maintenance.

  • Notice regarding power disconnection: To disconnect the device from the power source the power plug must be removed from the power socket. For this reason the device must be placed in a position where a constant unobstruc­ted access to the power socket is assured, thus in an emergency situation you are able to immediately pull out the power plug. To eliminate the risk of fire you must completely disconnect the power plug from the power socket after the device has been used.

  • Always grasp the power cord by the plug. Do not pull on the cord itself and never touch the power cord with wet hands as this could result in a short circuit or an electrical shock. Do not place the device, speaker cabinets or anything else on the power cord and make sure that it does not become clamped.

  • Under no circumstances may you open the device housing. Should you do so your safety would not be assured. There are no operational components whatsoever inside, only dangerous voltages that can give you a deadly shock!

  • Never operate the device near flames, flammable, explosive materials, or hot surfaces. Otherwise you run the risk of causing a fire.

  • Never leave this device running unattended.

MAIN MENU AND DMX CONTROL

  • “Choose Pattern”
    Select “Choose Pattern” and press the ENTER button to confirm. The display will show the corresponding function menu. Such as static color, macro function color mixing, performance mode, voice control mode. Use the UP/DOWN button to select among the functions. If you press the ENTER button, the display will enter the next menu item, and if you press the Menu button, you will exit to the previous menu mode. The parameters will be automatically saved after selection.

  • “User Settings”

    • Select “User Settings” (user console mode setting), press the ENTER the menu will automatically jump to the “DMX512” address setting mode. With the UP/DOWN button, you can adjust the address code you need to set between 1 and 512. After you select it, the parameters will be automatically save Select “Slave” (slave mode), press the ENTER button to confirm, “Slave Mode ” will be displayed. Indicates that it has entered the slave receiving mode state. After selection, the parameters will be automatically saved.
    • When the host signal is received, the interface will display “Connection” prompt, if the host signal is disconnec­ted, the interface will display “Disconnect” prompt, if you press ENTER or press the MENU button, the display will exit to the previous menu mode. If you press the ENTER or MENU button, the display will exit to the previous menu mode.
    • Select «Wifi», Press the ENTER button, use the UP/DOWN button to select “WiFi Mode” (WIFI mode), press the ENTER button, the WiFi icon will appear, indicating that the WiFi module has been turned on, ( pis see  WIFI operation mode, in next page).
  • “System Settings”
    Select “System Settings” (system settings mode), press the ENTER button to enter the next menu, use the UP/DOWN button to select different settings among the setting functions, press the ENTER or MENU button, the display will exit to the previous Level menu mode.

  • “Information”
    Information about the LED temperature, the working total time, the software version

DMX512 CONTROL MODE
In the “User Settings” interface, press the ENTER button to “DMX512” (DMX512 address) Code setting), use the UP/DOWN button to adjust the address code you need to set between 1 and 512, and then you can receive the DMX512 console control signal.

WIRELESS DMX

  • All units in DNA’s “dEco” range are equipped with the KONTROL PRO 8 wireless control receiver (sold separately).
  • This wireless transmission uses the “dEco PROTOCOL” protocol specially designed by DNA for simplified control of all our projectors.
  • Select the DMX512 mode in the USER SETTINGS menu, and switch ON the WDMX function ( button (1 )) , then select the same group on the remote control and on your projector.

How to link a new projector to the KONTROL PRO 8 remote control ? :

  1. Switch on the projector
  2. Select the DMX512 mode in the USER SETTINGS menu, and switch ON the WDMX function ( button (1 )).
  3. Press the group selection button ( SELECT. GROUP) for 5 seconds, until “d.” appears on the group display. The red dot at the bottom of the group display flashes rapidly. The projector is now ready to be linked with the KONTROL PRO 8 remote control.
  4. Briefly press the “Pairing” button on the KONTROL PRO 8 remote control, The small red dot on the group display flashes slowly. The projector and remote control are now paired.

Going further ( Expert use)

  • This wireless control uses wireless DMX transmission.
  • You can therefore control these projectors using DMX. The DMX address is fixed, not selectable. Thus, GROUP 1 uses DMX addresses 1 to 8, GROUP 2 uses addresses 9 to 16, and so on up to
  • DMX channels:
    • CH1: RED
    • CH2: GREEN
    • CH3: BLUE
    • CH4: WHITE
    • CH5:AMBER
    • CH6: UV
    • CH?: INTERNAL PROGRAMS: JUMP,FADE,STATIC COLOR and SOUND MODE
    • CHB: CH? PROGRAM SCROLLING SPEED

Group display

  • Dot off: no connection
  • Dot flashing fast: waiting for pairing
  • Point flashes slowly : Paired but no DMX signal

MASTER: SLAVE MODE

Master and Slave machine built-in program control
When multiple fixtures are connected together with OMX XLR cables , except for the first one, select “Slave” (slave mode) for the other lamps behind, press the ENTER button to confirm, and “OK!” will be displayed.

For MASTER/SLAVE installation , you have 3 options:

WIFI CONTROL

  • In the “User Settings” interface, press ENTER, use the UP/DOWN keys to select “WiFi Mode”, press ENTER, the WiFi icon will appear, indicating that the WiFi module has been activated.
  • Install the “LED LAMP” application on your mobile device.
  • On your mobile device, select the projector’s WIFI network named: “LED_xxx”.
  • Open the application and press the “+” in the top right-hand corner.
  • Select «Stage» in the left menu, then select»LED Light»
  • the message “Connection successful” appears on the screen.
    You can now use the functions of the application to control your projector.

How can I use the application to control several projectors?
The LED LAMP application can only control a single projector. You’ll need to connect the other projectors via DMX and select “SLAVE” mode.DNA-LIGHTING-
