HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 (NE) ICCU Inspection And Software Update
Bulletin Summary:
Over-current during vehicle charging can result in ICCU (Integrated Charge Control Unit) failure in certain 2022-2023 MY IONIQ 5 (NE) and 2023 MY IONIQ 6 (CE) vehicles, leading to the discharge of 12V auxiliary battery. An ICCU software update is available to address this condition. This bulletin provides instructions for inspecting, updating, and, if necessary, replacing the ICCU.
Note: Dealers must perform this campaign on all affected vehicles in dealer inventory prior to customer retail delivery and whenever an affected vehicle is at the dealership for any maintenance or repair.
APPLICABLE VEHICLES
2022-2023MY IONIQ 5 (N E) vehicles built from October 4, 2021 through June 20,
2023
2023 MY IONIQ 6 (CE) vehicles built from December 20, 2022 through June 15,
2023
Note: To confirm if a vehicle is affected, and the vehicle’s status, dealer must perform a query on GWMS VIN Inquiry screen before proceeding with repairs.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Dealers must perform this campaign on all affected vehicles in dealer inventory prior to customer retail delivery and whenever an affected vehicle is in the dealership for any maintenance or repair.
- Confirm the vehicle is within the specified model production range.
- Confirm the vehicle’s status in the GWMS.
- Complete a repair order and perform the procedure outlined in t his bulletin.
- Submit a warranty claim in a timely manner as per the warranty information in this bulletin.
