Product Usage Instructions
Charging the StratoStar
- Plug the charger into the charge socket on the battery case.
- Plug the charger into a suitable socket outlet and turn the switch on.
- The indicator on the charger will illuminate red when charging and green when fully charged.
- The control panel display will flash green when charging.
- Note: The battery will reach optimum performance after 5 complete discharge/charge cycles.
Setting Up The Tripod
- Extend the legs of the tripod and secure by tightening the hand wheel.
- For unstable ground, extend one tripod leg and secure it by tightening the hand wheel.
- Secure the light head to the tripod using the clamp lever.
- Position the light head to the desired angle for front-facing or 360-degree lighting.
StratoStar Battery Pack
The battery pack features an extendable handle, a programmable control panel, a charging input socket, a carry handle, a light head output socket, and an AC mains input socket. It also includes a Handle Safety Lock System with locked and unlocked positions to adjust brightness levels from Low to High and adjust runtime up to 48 hours.

Charging the StratoStar
- Plug the charger into the charge socket on the battery case.
- Plug the charger into a suitable socket outlet. Turn the switch on. (UK sockets).
- The indicator on the charger will illuminate red when charging and green when fully charged.
- The control panel display will flash green when charging.
When the Lamp is being charged with AC mode disconnected, it can only operate at Low power mode
Please note: The battery will reach optimum performance after 5 complete discharge/charge cycles.
Setting Up The Tripod
- Extend the legs of the tripod, and secure it by tightening the hand wheel.
- For unstable ground one tripod leg is extendable. Secure by tightening the hand wheel.
- Built level gauge.
Setting up the lighthead
- Lower the light head onto the tripod.
- Unravel the cable.
- Part the light heads.
- Secure the light head to the tripod using the clamp lever.
- Position the light heads to the desired angle.

Handle Safety Lock System
- Plug the light head lead into socket E.
- Turn the winch handle to position the light head at the desired height.
- Ensure the safety catch is in the lock position.

Operating the StratoStar
- Press the power button to turn the StratoStar on or off
There are two ways to adjust the brightness levels
- With the lamp on, push the light mode button to change the brightness level. Low>Medium>High
- With the lamp on, press the increase/decrease time buttons, this will automatically increase or decrease the light output to the selected programmed runtime.
Powering from an AC mains supply
- The StratoStar can also be powered by an AC mains supply 110V-240V. Connect the supplied AC cable to the battery power pack and operate as usual. The AC symbol will appear in the control panel display.
- When used with AC mode the lamp will function in all modes.
- It is also possible to the connect battery charger to charge the battery while operating in AC mode.
- Please note: If you transfer from battery power to AC power the light head will blink in between the changeover. This will happen when you also transfer back to AC power to battery power. (There may also be a slight delay).
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
- Never submerge in water
- If you suspect the unit has water inside, do not use or attempt to recharge
- Dropping the StratoStar may damage the battery or circuit components inside
- If the StratoStar has been submerged in water or sustained damage it could be a fire hazard. DO NOT USE THE PRODUCT.
- Place outdoors in a non-combustible container well away from flammable materials. DO NOT RECHARGE THE BATTERY AND CONTACT THE NIGHTSEARCHER.
- Never use the charger if the leads, contacts, or casings are damaged. Do not use any chargers other than those provided.
- For optimum performance the battery can operate -5°C or above 40°C, but reduced performance is -20°C or above +45°C.
- Never expose the charger to rain, moisture, or dampness. If you suspect any of these have occurred then do not use the charger.
- Always check with your airline before attempting to transport by air.
- Keep out of reach of children.

Warranty
All NightSearcher products have a 3-year standard warranty on all
manufacturing defects and a 1-year warranty on all rechargeable batteries from
the date of purchase.

If at any time, you need to dispose of this product or parts of this product:
please note that waste electrical products, and batteries should not be
disposed of with ordinary household waste. Recycle where facilities exist.
Check with your local authority for recycling advice. Alternatively,
NightSearcher is happy to take receipt of this product at end-of-life and will
recycle it on your behalf.
