Product Usage Instructions

When using the electric kettle, please observe the following precautions. Improper operation while ignoring these precautions can result in an injury to the user and others, as well as damage to their property.

1. Please read these operating instructions carefully before connecting your kettle to the power supply, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use.
2. Before switching on the appliance for the first time please check if the technical specifications indicated on the unit correspond to the mains parameters.
3. Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to malfunction of the appliance and injuries to the user.
4. The appliance is intended for use only in domestic aims. The unit is not intended for industrial and commercial use, and also for use in:

5. Do not use outdoors or in damp area.

10. Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.
11. To disconnect the appliance from the power supply pull it out by the plug only, not by the cord.
12. Place the appliance on a dry stable surface, away from sources of heat (e.g. hotplates); do not place it under curtains and shelves.

17. Use the kettle only with the base unit supplied, and do not use the base unit for any other purposes.
18. Never take the kettle from its base while in operation. Switch the appliance off first.
19. ATTENTION: Do not open the lid while water is boiling.
20. ATTENTION: During the operation, the appliance heats up. Be careful! Do not touch the body of the unit while it is working. To avoid skin burns with hot steam, do not bend over the unit during opening the lid.
21. Close the lid properly before switching on. Otherwise, the appliance will not switch off automatically and the hot water may overflow.
22. The kettle is for heating water only, not for any other purposes and liquids.
23. Do not attempt to repair, adjust or replace parts in the appliance. Repair the malfunctioning appliance in the nearest service center.
24. Before cleaning turn off the device and unplug it from the socket. Let the device cool off completely (the heating element remains hot for some time after use).
25. If the product has been exposed to temperatures below 0ºC for some time it should be kept at room temperature for at least 2 hours before turning it on

BEGINNING

Before the first use

Fill the appliance with clean water up to the MAX mark (1.7 L) and conduct a boiling cycle. Empty the appliance and repeat the procedure one more time.

• To remove the foreign smell from the new unit before the first use boil the water with added juice of 1-3 lemons or a pack of citric acid.
• Leave the fluid in the unit for 12 hours, then boil again.
• Pour the solution out and rinse the kettle inside carefully avoiding fall water on the electric contacts.
• Repeat the procedure if necessary.

OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

1. Place the appliance on a flat and dry surface.

2. To fill the kettle with water, remove it from the power base, remove the lid. Fill the kettle with the necessary amount of water – close the lid.

3. To avoid overheating of the kettle, it is not recommended to pour less than 0.5 liters of water (below the “MIN” mark). Do not pour more than 1.7 liters of water (above the “MAX“ mark), otherwise it may splash out through the spout when boiling.

4. Connect the power base to the mains.

5. Install the kettle filled with water on the power base.

6. After installing the kettle to the connected base, a beep will sound – the device is ready for use.

7. Turn on the kettle by pressing the button . The indicator light next to the symbol will light up, indicating the process of boiling water – the hidden display will start showing the current water temperature. When the water boils, the device will turn off automatically – the indicator will go out, a beep will sound. After a short break, the device can be turned on again by pressing the button .

8. Remove the device from the base and pour water.
   NOTE: Carefully pour water from the kettle, as boiling water can lead to burns. Do not open the kettle lid during the boiling process.

9. To re-boil, press the button . The device can be stored on the power base during long breaks in use.
   NOTE: During breaks in use, always disconnect the appliance from the mains.

10.  The device has several modes of operation:

• Mode 1: Press the button – boiling up to 100 C;
• Mode 2: Press the button , then press the button to select the desired temperature (the temperature is selected by pressing the button sequentially. The temperature sequence is as follows: 40-55-80-90 °C). The indicators to the left of the symbols will light up, the hidden display will show the reached temperature as it boils. In this mode, the water comes to a boil and then maintains the selected temperature for up to 2 hours).
• Mode 3: Press the button to select the desired temperature (the temperature is selected by pressing the button sequentially. The temperature sequence is as follows: 40-55-80-90 °C). In this mode, the water boils to the selected value and then is maintained on it for up to 2 hours). Make sure that filtered water is filled in the kettle during activation of this mode. After the operation is completed in this mode, the device will emit a sound signal. To interrupt the boiling process, press the button . First turn off the appliance by pressing the button , then disconnect the plug from the electrical outlet.

ATTENTION : Your kettle is equipped with dry boiling protection system. If there is no or little water in the kettle, it will automatically turn off. If this happens, you need to wait at least 10 minutes for the kettle to cool down, after which you can pour water.

Install the Home Intellect mobile application

• Go to the Home Intellect website using the links above.
• Install the Home Intellect app on your mobile device or tablet.
• Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to 4G internet or Wi-Fi.
• Make sure your smartphone or tablet is running iOS 8.0 (or higher) or Android 4.4 (or higher).
• Make sure your router’s signal is in the 2.4GHz band.
• Make sure your smartphone and the device have the same WLAN.

Create an account in the mobile application:

Open the application and create a new account in it: Enter your email address

An automatic email with a confirmation code will be sent to the entered email address, enter this code in the field that appears.

• Set the desired password for your account.
• Your new account will consist of an email and a password you created

Connect the device to the mobile application

• Make sure geolocation is enabled on your device.
• Click on the plus icon in the top corner of the screen.
• Select “Add Device”.
• Next, you need to select “Чайник”.
• If the location feature on your mobile device is enabled, the app will locate the nearest Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Enter the password for this Wi-Fi (make sure the password is correct).
• Press the “Mode” button in the top right corner of the screen, select “EZ mode”.
• Press “Next”
• On the screen under the number “3”, press and hold the button on the control panel of the device – indicators will flash rapidly – the device will emit 5 sound signals.
• Press «Индикатор мигает», then press “Next”.
• The application will take no more than 2 minutes to detect the device.

NOTE:

• The Home Intellect mobile app can detect your appliance by itself if Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone. Click “+” and follow the instructions on the screen.
• The Home Intellect mobile application contains all the functions of the device available on the control panel.

DISCONNECTING THE KETTLE FROM Wi-Fi NETWORK TO SAVE ENERGY

In order to save energy, this model has a function of disconnecting the device from Wi-Fi network. To disconnect your kettle from the Wi-Fi network without deleting it from the Home Intellect application, press and hold the button on the control panel until a long beep sounds – it will no longer be possible to control the kettle through the mobile application – after 3 minutes the mobile application will show the status “Не в сети”. To restore the kettle’s connection to the Wi-Fi network, press and hold the button on the control panel – the indicators will start flashing. After 3 minutes, the ” Не в сети” status in the mobile application will no longer be displayed – it will be possible to control the kettle through the mobile application again.

WHAT TO DO IF THE APP DOES NOT DETECT THE DEVICE:

1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is connected to the 2.4GHz band
2. Make sure the Wi-Fi password is correct
3. Make sure that App is set in EZ mode
4. Make sure that the appliance is set to be detected by the application: On the screen under the number “3”, press and hold the button on the control panel of the device – indicators will flash rapidly – the device will emit 5 sound signals.
5. Make sure that this device is not paired with another mobile device. In this case, delete it from the application on another mobile device.
6. Turn off the device, unplug it and plug it in after 10 seconds. Log in to the app to reconnect. On the screen under the number “3”, press and hold the button on the control panel of the device – indicators will flash rapidly – the device will emit 5 sound signals.
   The appearance of the mobile application, its interface, icons and the location of functions may change without prior notice to improve its performance.

ALICE VOICE ASSISTANT

With help of the Home Intellect system, you can easily control your smart home appliances from your smartphone, as well as using the Yandex Alice voice assistant. Connect your equipment to the program and control it from anywhere in the world. To control the device using the voice assistant Alice, in addition to the main Home Intellect application, you need to install the Home with Alice application and link accounts.

Connection procedure, linking Home Intellect application accounts and skill:

1. Download Home Intellect app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Log into the app with your Home Intellect account or register as a new user.
3. Add your compatible devices to the Home Intellect app menu.
4. Download the House with Alice app from the App Store or Google Play.
5. In the House with Alice application, log in with your Yandex account or register as a new user. Add a new device through the “Devices” menu.
6. Select the Home Intellect skill from the list of manufacturers, click the “Link to Yandex” button and enter the registration data for the Home Intellect application from step 2. Link devices for this application account, enter the login, password for Home Intellect from step 2. Pass authorization from Yandex
7. Click the “Update device list” button, check the settings of the detected devices, change the name as necessary and specify the room, click “Finish setup”. Now you can control smart devices using Alice. The list of voice commands is available in the “Voice commands” tab.

NOTE:

The number of voice commands to control smart technology with Alice is limited. When adding new devices in the Home Intellect application, it is necessary to update the list of devices in Alice. To do this, press the + button in the DEVICES interface, then ADD DEVICE, select Home Intellect in the list, then click UPDATE DEVICE LIST.

CARE AND CLEANING

1. Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down (the heating element remains hot after use).
2. Do not immerse the kettle, power base, or power cord with a plug in water and do not allow water droplets to fall on these parts.
3. Wipe the device body with a slightly damp cloth.
