The Jump Start feature is designed for convenience and should not be relied upon as the only and last resort for starting your vehicle. It should only be used occasionally to avoid excessive wear and tear on the battery.

Under-bonnet and High-Heat Applications
The Invicta Hybrid Battery is rated to be installed in high-heat applications. However, it is recommended to ensure there is airflow around the battery to reduce the occurrence of BMS over-temp disconnect. The over-temp disconnect will activate once the internal temperature of the battery reaches 80°C and reconnects at 60°C.

Parallel Configuration

  1. Ensure all batteries to be in the parallel configuration have been fully charged individually and are all the same model.
  2. Ensure the voltage difference between each battery is no more than 0.2V.
  3. After charging, set aside and allow to rest for 8 hours.
  4. Cable sizing should be suitable for the load requirement. Ensure all connecting cables lengths are of the same length.
  5. Be careful not to reverse the polarity of the poles or short circuits while connecting the cables.
  6. It is prohibited to series a paralleled configuration.
  7. Once in Parallel configuration, ensure a full charge is completed at least every 3 months.
  8. A parallel configuration must be a true parallel connection as shown in the manual, any other parallel configuration may result in unexpected issues and void the warranty.
  9. Once in Parallel configuration, the system must be charged and discharged as a system.

Accessories/Ignition
Refer to the manual for specific instructions on connecting accessories and ignition systems based on different configurations.

Using the Jump Start feature

  • The BMS in the Invicta Hybrid Starter will automatically reserve a small amount of capacity for the Jump Start feature. When the main capacity is fully discharged the BMS will reserve the ‘Jump Start’ capacity for up to 48hrs. To activate the Jump Start feature and use the reserve capacity simply use the mobile app or press the button on top of the battery until the light flashes red one time. This will release the reserve capacity for approx. 30 seconds and allow you to start your engine. Once the application is started allow the battery to charge for at least 15min before turning the engine off again.
