SAFETY INFORMATION

WARNING

1. Before connecting the power supply, make sure to turn off the Electrical Main Switch at the circuit breaker fuse box.
2. Using power supply 120V/60Hz.
3. All wiring must comply with national and local electrical codes ANSI/NFPA70.
4. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS SWITCHED OFF AT THE ELECTRICAL PANEL BOX BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS (REFER TO THIS SECTION), MAKING ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS.
5. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, turn off the power to the fuse box or circuit breaker before installing the fan. To reduce the risk of personal injury, attach the fan directly to the building’s support structure.  Make sure that the installation location allows the fan blades to rotate without obstacles.

TROUBLESHOOTING -1

• The fan does not work, but the light works

1. Check all the connections are correct and secure, and reconnect the motor wires.
2. Turn off the power for at least 10 seconds, then turn on the power and repair the remote and receiver.
3. Turn off the power and turn on the power again
  * If you cannot hear a ‘beep’ sound, it means there is a problem with the receiver and need to change a new one.
  * If you hear a continuous ‘beep’ sound, it means there is a problem with the fan motor.
  * Check the motor wires are secure and intact. Check the motor for resistance.

• The fan works, but the light does not work

1. Check the light wire connections are correct and secure, and reconnect the light wires.
2. Turn off the power for at least 10 seconds, then turn on the power and repair the remote and receiver.
3. Connect the light directly without the receiver
  * If the light works, it means there is a problem with the receiver and need to change a new one.
  * If the light does not work, it means there is a problem with the light and need to change to a new one.

• Fan and light do not work

1. Check all the connections are correct and secure, and reconnect all the wires.
2. Turn off the power for at least 10 seconds, then turn on the power and repair the remote and receiver.
3. Check the battery of the remote control. Change a new battery.
4. Turn off the power and turn on the power again
  * If you cannot hear a ‘beep’ sound, it means there is a problem with the receiver and need to change a new one.

Alexa/Google Assistant Connection Instruction & Voice Command

• Alexa Connection Instruction
  • a. Make sure you have connected the device to the app and working normally.
  • b. Open the Alexa app, and go to the skill to search “Tuya Smart” skill.
  • c. Link the skill, log in with your Tuya Smart app account and password, and then authorize and connect with the Tuya Smart app.
  • d. Then Alexa will find out the device automatically.
• Google Assistant Connection Instruction
  • a. Make sure you have connected the device to the app and working normally.
  • b. Open the Google Home app, Set up a device, and choose “Works with Google”.
  • c. Search “Tuya Smart”, log in with your Tuya Smart app account and password then authorize and connect with Tuya Smart app.
  • d. Then the Google Assistant will find out the device automatically.

Note:

1. Connect the device to the App recommended to turn on WIFL and Bluetooth on your phone.
2. This ceiling fan needs to use 2.4 GHz WIFI to work when you connect the device.

Common Voice Command:

1. “Alexa/Google, turn on/off the fan/light.” (Use for turn on / turn off the fan/light)
2. “Alexa set the direction to summer/winter.”(Use for Forward/Reverse the fan)
3. Alexa/Google set the fan speed to level (which number of speed levels you want).” OR “Alexa/Google, set the fan to (which number of speed level you want) speed.” (Use for wind speed level) Such as, “Alexa, set the fan speed to 1./ Alexa, set the fan to 6 speed.”
4. “Alexa/ Google set the light to (which mode that you want).” (Use for the color temperature of light) Such as, “Alexa, set the light to Warm white. (warm yellow light)
   • /Alexa set the light to Soft white. (the light comes up a little yellow)
   • /Alexa set the light to White. (neutral light)
   • /Alexa set the light to Daylight white. (the light comes up a little white )
   • /Alexa set the light to Cool white. (cool white light)”
5. “Alexa/Google, set/change the light to (how many percent that you want).” (Use for brightness of light) Such as, “Alexa, set the light to 80%./Google, change the light to 50%.”

MAINTENANCE TIPS

1. WARNING: To Reduce The Risk Of Fire, Electric Shock, Or Personal Injury, Mount To the Outlet Box Marked “Acceptable for Fan Support of 15.9 kg (35 lbs) or less” And Use Mounting Screws Provided With The Outlet Box. Most Outlet Boxes Commonly Used For The Support of Luminaires Are Not Acceptable For Fan Support And May Need To Be Replaced. Consult A Qualified Electrician If In Doubt.
2. CAUTION: To Reduce The Risk Of Injury To Persons, Install a Fan So That The Blade Is At Least 3.05 Meters (10 Feet) Above The Floor.
   • Do not install the fan with wet hands.
   • Do not insert foreign objects between the rotating fan blade.
   • Do not bend the fan blades when installing or cleaning the fan.
   • Do not disassemble or modify this product or use non-original parts without permission.
   • Keep children away from your working area.

SMART APP CONNECTION INSTRUCTION

WAY 2: ADD MANUALLY (WIFI ON & BLUETOOTH OFF)

1. Open the “TUYA” smart APP and then Click “Add device” on the APP Page
2. Then Under “Add Manually” SELECT “Small Home Appliances”
3. Then Select “Fan(WI-FI)” (Fig 4) and Type in your WIFI code & password (Fig 5)
4. Turn on the Fan power within 30 seconds, Press the “1H” key on the remote for at least 5 seconds.
5. Then Click “Confirm the indicator is blinking” on the APP page and then Select “Blink Quickly”.
6. Waiting for connection and Clicking “Done” on the APP page.
   • ( Note: if the ceiling fan is not searched, please make sure the 2.4 Ghz WIFI & Bluetooth are on and the network is stable; if the ceiling fan is disconnected within 3 mins please retry to pair the fan by repeating step 1.
7. Then the following page shown (Fig 6) you could operate normally with the page.

SMART APP CONNECTION INSTRUCTION

• Scan the QR code and download the “TUYA” smart APP.
• (The ceiling fan needs work at 2.4 GHz WIFI to connect the device)

WAY 1: ADD automatically (WIFI & BLUETOOTH both on) –RECOMMENDED

1. Open the TUYAsmart APP & Turn on the Fan power supply within 30 seconds, Press the button of “1H” on the remote for at least 5 seconds until hearing 2 or more beep sounds.
2. Then Click “Add device”(Fig 1) on the APP Page.
3. Then click “Add” (Fig 2) and wait for the connection(Fig 2) (Note: if the ceiling fan is not searched, please make sure the 2.4 Ghz WIFI & Bluetooth are on and the network is stable; if the ceiling fan is disconnected within 3 mins please retry to pair the fan by repeating step 1.)
4. After connecting successfully, then click “next”.
5. After that, then click “Finish” to enter the interface.
6. Then the following page is shown (Fig 3) you can operate normally with the page.

INSTALLATION OF HANGER BRACKET

1. Wooden Ceiling:
   • Fasten the hanger bracket to the ceiling with 4 wood tooth screws and washers. (fig 1)
2. Concrete ceiling:
   • Fasten the hanger bracket to the ceiling with 2 expansion screws. (fig 2)

PRE-FIX THE CEILING FAN

1. Remove the two opposite screws on the hanger bracket. (It will be used during the step“INSTALLATION OF CEILING FAN”). (Fig 3) 10
2. Align the screw hole on the motor housing with the “J” hook on the hanger bracket. Hang the fan to the expansion ‘J’ hook. (Fig 3)

WIRING OF CEILING FAN

A total of six colors of wires are connected from the top of the motor:

• White, Black, and Yellow wires – for light kit
• Red(L1), Grey(L2), Yellow(L3) wires – live wire for fan
• Green/Yellow – Ground Wire The installation is to follow the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA 70 and local codes.

1. Plug the connector from the motor into the remote control receiver: Big Connector to the Big Socket & Small Connector to the Small Socket.
2. Connect wires of remote control receiver wires to AC wires (Household supply): Green to Ground, White to Neutral, Black to Live.

INSTALLATION OF CEILING FAN

1. Unscrew the two screws from the hanger bracket out by 1/2.
2. Align the “L” shape groove on the motor housing to the hanger bracket screws and insert the two screws into the groove until it is held tightly.
3. Fix back the two screws which take out in step “PRE-FIX THE CEILING FAN” to the hanger bracket hole and tighten all four screws firmly.

INSTALLATION OF FAN BLADES

1. Remove the blade screws from the blade bracket on the motor. Atached the blades to the motor and tighten the screws and washers firmly. (Fig 6)

INSTALLATION OF LIGHT KIT

1. Remove three screws from the motor round piece. (Fig 7)
2. Thread the light wire through the light kit. Attach the lightkit to the fan, and tighten all the three screws firmly. (Fig 8)
3. Direct plug in the wire to the light kit docking(connector). Attach the acrylic cover to the light and twist it clockwise until it is secured tightly. (Fig 9)

REMOTE CONTROL MANUAL

IMPORTANT:
The remote control transmitter and receiver have factory pre-set/paired and are ready to be used immediately. If required to re-pairing the transmitter and receiver, follow the below instructions:

1. Turn the ceiling fan main switch power Off for 10 seconds.
2. Turn the ceiling fan main switch power on, and will hear a Beep sound then within 3 seconds press and hold the ‘FAN OFF’ button.
3. Wait until the receiver emits a Beep sound then let go of the button and the pairing process is completed.
4. If the pairing process unsuccessful, then repeat steps 1 to step 3. (Note: Ensure the batteries have enough power)
   • NOTE: After pressing the timer button, if press any button will clear the timer function. Require not to press any button after setting the timer function.
5. When the emitter cannot control the receiver, please check if is there any existence of similar remote-controlled products nearby, then check whether they work, because remote-controlled products with the same frequency will disturb each other.
6. The low voltage of the battery will affect the sensitivity of the emitter and the signal reception accordingly(the indicated light will be dimmed when the battery gets low voltage). must be replaced if the battery is getting low voltage.
7. Please take out the battery from the emitter when left unused for a long time.
8. Then maximum load of lighting see the above” POWER PARAMETER LIST” PS: please connect the ground wire correctly, otherwise it may cause the light micro-light or flash.
9. When installing the fan, the fan ceiling cover doesn’t press the antenna (or other wire), it is easy to break down the wire and short-circuit.

TROUBLESHOOTING – 2

Some functions not work

1. Light cannot adjust the brightness
   • Try to press and hold the dimming button
2. The fan cannot reverse
   • After pressing the reverse button, wait for about 20 seconds to reverse.
3. If the other function is normal and the operation is correct, it needs to change a new remote and receiver.

Fan noisy

1. Tighten all screws.
2. Make sure no objects are inserted in the fan.
3. Separate & store neatly all the wire nut connections.

Fan shaking

1. Check the screws on the hanger bracket are secure.
2. Make sure the concave groove of the hanger ball is positioned on the hanger lug of the hanger bracket.
3. Check the screws of the hanger ball, download, and connector are secure.
