  • Warranty:
    • The BlueDiamond Pumps come with a 3-year warranty from the delivery date.
    • The warranty covers any failure within the specified period under normal usage. To avail of the warranty, ensure that the installation of the pump conforms to the provided instructions and specifications.
    • Any modifications to the unit will void the warranty. Charles Austen Pumps reserves the right to alter specifications without prior notification.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance:
    • If the reservoir or sensors of the BlueDiamond pump require cleaning, use warm soapy water.
    • Take care not to damage the sensors during cleaning. After any cleaning or maintenance work, carry out an operational test before using the pump.

    • Before installation, verify the pump voltage.
    • The installation requires removing the black plug from the pump power cable. For CITY MULTI indoor units, identify if it has a CN4F or CN31 drain safety connector and wire accordingly.
    • If these connectors are not present, wire according to the M-series diagram.
    • CITY MULTI 230 volt models:
    • Before installation, verify the pump voltage.
    • The installation requires removing the black plug from the pump power cable.
    • CITY MULTI indoor units will either have a CN4F or CN31 drain safety connector.
    • Identify which is present and wire according to the provided diagram. If the connectors are not present, wire according to the M-series diagram.

    • For MXZ-4C36NAHZ, MXZ-5C42NAHZU1, MXZ-8C48NAHZU1, MXZ-8C48NAU1, and MXZ8C60NA models, the Blue Diamond pumps have a delay on the NC alarm circuit that may cause a 7102 capacity error when S1 is broken.
    • Breaking S1 is the proper way to install the pump and safety switch according to the original instructions.

  • We reserve the right to alter any specifications without prior notifications These pumps have been evaluated for use with water freezing and 82°F.

MXZ Branch Box Applications with Blue Diamond Pump

  • Application Models: MXZ-4C36NAHZ, MXZ-5C42NAHZU1, MXZ-8C48NAHZU1, MXZ-8C48NAU1 and MXZ8C60NA.

Occurring Condition

  • The Blue Diamond pumps have a delay on the NC alarm circuit that will cause a 7102 capacity error when S1 is broken.
  • According to original instructions breaking S1 is the proper way to install the pump and safety switch.
  • To avoid the error condition it will be necessary to break the coil thermistor of the indoor unit with the NC Alarm circuit of the Blue Diamond pump using butt splice connectors.
  • On the indoor unit wiring diagram the coil thermistors will be designated as either RT12 or TH2. (See Below)
  • Recommended inlet & outlet tubing is to be 1/4″ ID PVC braided tube.
  • All connections should be securely fastened and airtight.
  • The maximum internal diameter of the suction and discharge lines should not exceed 3/8″ in areas that are dependent on the pump (ie none gravity).
