Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Installation
- Ensure that the radiator is turned off and cold before installation.
- Remove the existing radiator valve if present.
- Clean the valve connection point on the radiator to remove any debris or residue.
- Attach the GB Thermostatic Radiator Valve T30 to the radiator by screwing it onto the valve connection point.

Installation
- The radiator valve T30 is intended to be used for all kinds of commercially available radiator valves without the need to interrupt the heat circulation. In case the thermostatic radiator valve is not compatible, please follow the instructions stated in the paragraph called: Compatibility.
- Before the installation insert the batteries into the radiator valve. Remove the old radiator thermostat valve by loosening the nut placed on the radiator valve. Place the T30 on the front part of the valve and manually tighten the nut.
Note:
- The T30 valve’s lifter must be connected in the center with the lifter on the valve.
- The T30 valve must not be squeezed or wedged.
- When installing the T30, make sure the display is well-readable.
Compatibility
- Some radiator valves may not be compatible with the T30.
- Please, compare your valve with the producer’s information and install the suitable reduction – if necessary.

- Enclosed are reductions for appliances:
- Danfoss RA, RAV, RAVL
- Screw in the reduction on the valve and turn until the valve fits / snaps.
- If the reduction is adjusted for this, tighten it by a screw.
Batteries insertion/change
- In the part of the valve, where is located the joining part, loosen the control part of the valve by pressing the cover in the lower part of the valve and slowly removing the cover, as shown in the picture.
- Open the battery cover and insert 2× 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries. Observe the proper polarity!
- Put the battery cover back.
Use new alkaline batteries only, do not use rechargeable batteries.
- If the valve’s display is not flashing, check the polarity of the inserted batteries.
- Low batteries are indicated with this icon. Change the batteries for the new ones of the same kind, do not use the rechargeable batteries.

Basic setting/adaptation
- Install the thermostatic valve to the radiator and insert the batteries.
- It is necessary to set the basic data in terms to ensure the thermostatic valve’s correct performance.
- After inserting the batteries the value “year” starts flashing on the display, please set:
- By the thumb-wheel, set: YEAR, MONTH, DAY, HOUR, MINUTE.
- To confirm the value press the OK button, hence you will automatically move within the menu about one step further.
- After the minutes are set the icon INS will start flashing on the display – confirm by pressing the OK button, then the icon RUN will start flashing on the display – the lift of your thermostatic radiator valve will be adapted to the radiator’s valve.
- This process lasts for about 2 minutes.
- After the successful adaptation process, the standard menu will appear on the display:
- If the adaptation process fails, the following icons will be displayed:
- F1 – the lift gap is too long
- F2 – the lift gap is too short
- Repeat the installation process, and check if the radiator’s valve is not rusty.
The thermostatic valve setting
- To access the setting mode press the PROG button, by turning the thumb wheel you can browse the menu.
- The following parameters can be set in the menu:
- Comfort/Cost-saving temperature – Temperature modes – Time and date – DAY–OFF – Travel – Party
Temperature Setting:
- The thermostatic valve enables to set 4 different temperature modes:
- 2× comfort temperature 1, 2
- 2× cost-saving temperature 1, 2
- Comfort temperature means higher temperature, (there are people in the room), and cost-saving temperature means lower temperature (at night or with no people in the room).
- The comfort temperature is displayed as a black rectangle, the cost-saving temperature is an empty field.
- By the thumb-wheel set the desired temperature icon and press the OK button.
- The temperature value starts flashing, by the thumb-wheel set the temperature and confirm by the OK button.
- Use the same procedure to set the values at all 4 temperature modes.
Temperature Modes
- It is possible to set the 10-time temperature sequences.
- Press the PROG button and by the thumb wheel set the PROG function, confirm by pressing the OK button.
You can choose from the following time sequences (day groups):
- Monday – Sunday (MO TU WE TH FR SA SU)
- Monday – Friday (MO TU WE TH FR)
- Saturday – Sunday (SA SU)
- Single days in a week: MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU.
- Select the desired day group and then press OK.
- The time 0:00, P1 will be shown on the display.
- It is possible to set 6 temperature changes in total (7 temperatures altogether) in one day/day group).
- The shortest time sequence is 10 minutes. The beginning is always preset from 0:00.
- Press the OK button, and the temperature value starts flashing.
- By the thumb-wheel set the desired temperature: comfort/cost-saving, No. 1,2.
- (by each turn the icon of the temperature changes. It is shown at the bottom on the left side). Confirm by pressing OK.
- The time value starts flashing and at the bottom on the left side, the icon of the temperature change will be shown. No. 2, (Pict. 2).
- Set the beginning of the second temperature change, confirm by OK, and the temperature value will start flashing, by the thumb-wheel select the desired temperature.
- In this way, gradually set times for other temperature changes during days/day groups.
- To quit press the FUN button.
- Note: The temperature mode set on separate days is always a priority to a preset temperature mode which is set for the day group.

Time and Date
- Press the PROG button and by the thumb-wheel set the TIME and then press OK.
- Now set the YEAR, MONTH, DAY, HOUR, MIN.
- Each value confirm by pressing OK.
Holidays
- (DAY–OFF)
- To set the constant temperature without the time program (e. g. Holidays).
- Press the PROG button and by the thumb-wheel set the icon DAY–OFF, then press OK.
- Set number of DAYS, confirm by pressing OK.
- It is possible to set 1 – 99 days.
- By the thumb-wheel set the temperature (TEMP), confirm by pressing OK.
- If you want to cancel this function, press the FUN button.
Travel
- Setting the constant temperature without any time program.
- Press the PROG button and by the thumb-wheel set the icon , then press OK.
- By the thumb-wheel set the number of DAYS, confirm by pressing OK.
- It is possible to set 1 – 99 days.
- By the thumb-wheel set the temperature (TEMP), confirm by pressing OK.
- If you want to cancel this function, press the FUN button.
Party
- Setting the constant temperature without any time program within one day.
- Press the PROG button and by the thumb-wheel set PARTY, then press OK.
- By the thumb-wheel set the number of HOURS, confirm by pressing OK.
- It is possible to set 1 – 23 hours.
- By the thumb-wheel set the temperature (TEMP), confirm by pressing OK.
- If you want to cancel this function, press the FUN button.
Thermostatic radiator valve’s advanced settings
- Press and hold the PROG button.
- By the thumb-wheel set the following advanced setting:
Open window function
- In case the thermostatic valve detects a sudden temperature decrease (e. g. when the window gets opened, the door is opened), the valve closes and the following icon starts flashing
- After the specified time limit or when you close the window, the valve gets automatically opened.
Time Settings
- (TIME )
- Press and hold the PROG button.
- The icon TIME , is flashing. Confirm by pressing OK.
- The minutes value starts flashing, the range is 00 – 60 min.
- Set the desired temperature and confirm by pressing OK.
- For this time period the Open Window Function will be active.
- To exit menu press the FUN button.
- The time limit is set to 10 minutes as default.
- If you set 0 minutes, this function will not be active.
Temperature Limits Settings
- The Temperature Limit for Activating the OPEN WINDOW Function
- Press and hold the PROG button.
- By the thumb-wheel select DEC , confirm by pressing OK.
- By the thumb-wheel set the temperature in the range of 0.2 °C to 3 °C (tolerance 0.1 °C), confirm by pressing OK.
- In case the room temperature decreases about the preset value, the Open Window function will be activated.
The Temperature Limit for Deactivating the OPEN WINDOW Function
- Press and hold the PROG button.
- By the thumb-wheel select INC , confirm by pressing OK.
- By the thumb-wheel set the temperature in the range of 0.2 °C to 3 °C (tolerance 0.1 °C), confirm by pressing OK.
- In case the room temperature increases about the preset value earlier than is preset, (TIME ), the Open Window function will be deactivated.
Surrounding temperature compensation
- The temperature sensor which detects the surrounding temperature is located in the valve’s body which is mounted on the radiator.
- The measured temperature therefore may be higher than the temperature in other parts of the room.
- To correct the temperature press and hold the PROG button and by the thumb-wheel select TOE, confirm by pressing OK.
- By the thumb-wheel set the temperature correction in the range from –3 °C to +3 °C, tolerance 0.5 °C.
The valve stroke setting
- The thermostatic valve operates in the factory settings with the optimal valve stroke setting (standard stroke mode) that is necessary for the room temperature regulation.
- In case the full valve stroke should be used or the valve does not completely closes, access the full stroke mode.
- Press and hold the PROG button and by the thumb-wheel set TAP, confirm by pressing OK.
- By the thumb-wheel, set:
- ON – the valve will be in the full stroke mode
- (This mode may lower the batteries lifetime)
- OFF – the valve will be in the standard stroke mode
- Confirm by pressing OK, to exit menu press the FUN button.
Current room temperature display
- Press and hold the PROG button, by the thumb-wheel set ROOM, confirm by pressing OK.
- By the thumb-wheel, set:
- ON – the current room temperature will be shown with the icon .
- OFF – the current room temperature will not be shown
- Confirm by pressing OK, to exit menu press the FUN button.
- Daylight saving time (DST)
- Press and hold the PROG button, by the thumb-wheel set DST, confirm by pressing OK.
- By the thumb-wheel, set:
- ON – DST will be activated
- OFF – DST will be activate
- Confirm by pressing OK, to exit menu press the FUN button.
Reset
- Press and hold the PROG button, by the thumb-wheel set RESET, confirm by pressing OK.
- YES – factory setting, all the input values will be deleted
- NO – return to menu
- Confirm by pressing OK, to exit menu press the FUN button.
Other thermostatic valve’s settings
Child lock
- Press and hold the FUN button, the following icon will be shown
- All the buttons will be blocked.
- Press and hold the FUN button again, the lock icon will disappear
- By repeating pressing the FUN button, you can set the following function:
Auto
- The thermostatic valve will regulate the temperature according to preset temperature modes.
Manual
- In this mode you can manually adjust the desired temperature in range of 5 – 30 °C, tolerance 0.5 °C.
- The temperature will stay preset this way until you set the mode AUTO again.
- ON – the valve will open for 100 %, until you set the mode AUTO again.
- OFF – the valve will be completely closed.
ECO
- In this mode you lower the preset temperature, within the AUTO mode, about 3 °C.
POS
- In this mode the current valve’s position will be shown (0 – 100 %).
- 0 % – the valve is completely closed, 100 % – the valve is completely opened.
Boost mode
- The BOOST mode it is possible to heat up the room within the short time period.
- Press the BOOST button, the time of 300 seconds (5 minutes) will be displayed and the time will be count-down to 0.
- When the BOOST mode is activated the radiator’s valve instantly opens to 100 %.
- Thanks to warmth heating from the heater a comfortable climate will be spread across the room.
- After the five minutes time interval Boost the valve will automatically return to the previous operating status.
Valve anti-lime protection
- In case the valve has not been at least once opened within a week time, the seventh day the thermostatic valve opens completely. This will last for a short time only to protect the valve against stiffening.
Anti-freeze function
- In case the room temperature falls under 5 °C, the thermostatic valve will be opened to enable heating until the temperature rises up to 8 °C.
- The following icon will be shown .
- This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or the lack of experience and knowledge prevents the safe use, unless they are supervised or have been instructed on the use of the device by a person responsible for their safety. It is necessary to supervise the children to make sure they do not play with the device.
- Do not dispose of the product or the batteries when they come to end of life to the unsorted municipal waste, use separate waste collection points.
- The product was issued a declaration of conformity.
WARRANTY STATEMENT
- We declare that we guarantee the properties and flawlessness operation within the warranty period.
- The warranty period begins with the date of delivery of the goods and is valid for 24 months.
- EMOS SI d.o.o guarantees the buyer that it will be covered by the warranty within the deadline at own expense to eliminate all deficiencies on the device due to a factory defect in the material or manufacturing.
- The warranty period is extended for the duration of the repair.
- If the device is not repaired within 45 days from the date of application defects, the affected customer may request a new or refund of the amount paid.
- The warranty ends if the defect is caused by:
- non-professional-unauthorized service
- processing without the approval of the manufacturer
- failure to follow the instructions for use of the device
- The warranty does not exclude the rights of the consumer that arise from the seller’s responsibility for defects in the goods.
- Unless otherwise indicated, the warranty applies to the territory area of the Republic of Slovenia.
- The manufacturer provides repair and maintenance for a fee goods, spare parts and attachments three years after the expiration of the warranty period.
- Natural wear and tear of the device is excluded from the warranty Obligations. The same applies to injuries due to improper use of use or overload.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE COMPLAINT PROCEDURE
- The owner asserts a warranty claim by reporting the identified defect to an authorized workshop (EMOS SI d.o.o.,
- Ob Savinja 3, 3313 Polzela) in writing or orally. The buyer is responsible if he causes damage to the device by registering too late.
- After the warranty period expires, the right to assert a warranty claim ceases. It must be certified warranty card with original invoice.
- EMOS SI d.o.o. undertakes to replace the device with a new one if it does not function flawlessly within this warranty period.
