Thank you for purchasing the 2.4G Wireless RF Media Center Keyboard/Laser Mouse Combo. Enjoy the freedom of wireless connectivity with IOGEAR’s wireless keyboard/mouse combo. The keyboard and mouse allow you to work up to 33 feet away from the USB receiver connected to your computer. In addition, the laser mouse provides great accuracy over most surfaces and minimal hand movement due to its 800 dpi resolution.
Easily interact and take complete control of your entertainment center with Media Center features of this combo. The different hotkeys give you quick access to some of your most common Media Center tasks such as My TV, My Music, My Video, and My Picture. Additional four hotkeys allow users to Play/Pause, Volume Down, Volume Up, and Mute.

Hardware Installation

Before installing this product please make sure you have one available USB port reserved for the wireless receiver. The product is plug and play, no software installation needed. Control your PC or Mac wirelessly right out of the box.

A. Setting up the wireless receiver

  1. Plug the wireless receiver into an available USB port.
  2. Wait for Windows/Mac to install drivers for the dongle receiver, keyboard, and mouse.
  3. When the wireless receiver has been properly initialized, the LED in the receiver will stay on.

B. Setting up the Keyboard and Mouse

  1. Open the keyboard’s battery compartment cover and insert two AAA Alkaline batteries. Make sure they are properly installed.
  2. Replace the keyboard battery compartment cover.
  3. Open the mouse’s battery compartment cover and insert two AAA Alkaline batteries. Make sure they are properly installed.
  4. Replace the mouse battery compartment cover.
  5. Press the reset button on the wireless receiver. The LED Indicator on the receiver will flash. It means the receiver is sourcing for available devices.
  6. Flip the keyboard around and gently press the reset button.
  7. Press the reset button on the wireless receiver. The LED indicator on the receiver will flash. It means the receiver is sourcing for available devices.
  8. Flip the mouse around and gently press the reset button.
  9. The LED indicator on the dongle receiver will go off when the connection has been properly set and the keyboard and mouse are working.

Once the connection has been established, when you type the keyboard or move the mouse around, the LED on the receiver will flash. It means the keyboard/mouse have made successful connection with the receiver.

Trouble Shooting

  1. When low-battery indicator lights up, please change the batteries. We recommend using alkaline batteries for both keyboard and mouse.
  2. The keyboard/mouse will go to sleep mode if the device is not in use for 8 minutes. While the keyboard/mouse is in sleep mode, please press any key/button to wake it up.
  3. If your keyboard/mouse cannot work after installation, please check the followings:
    a. Make sure you have connected the receiver correctly to the computer. The receiver has been properly plugged into your computer’s USB port.
    b. Make sure you have inserted batteries into its compartment correctly.
    c. If without any interference, such as other computer peripherals, the working distance (distance between keyboard and receiver) is about 33 feet.
    d. If using more than two units and interference occurred, please reset connection again by following instructions in section B above.
