Product Usage Instructions

Installation
Installation must be performed by an authorized fitter. Follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure the power supply is disconnected during installation.
  2. Connect the WBT-230 to a power switch:
    • Connect the live (phase) wire to L.
    • Connect the neutral wire to N.
    • Connect the switch leg(s) to S1 and/or S2.
  3. If desired, the WBT-230 can be controlled by a twilight relay, an astroclock, or other units with a 230 V output signal.

PUSH Function
The WBT-230 can be used for wireless control of units via a push function. Follow these steps:

  1. Combine the WBT-230 with a receiver relay.
  2. Connect the WBT-230 to a power switch with an impulse spring.
  3. Connect a receiver relay to the input on the unit you want to control.

Wireless Connection of Multiple Circuits
The WBT-230 can be used to connect two circuits without using signal wires/switch legs between them. Follow these steps:

  1. Connect the phase and neutral wires to the WBT-230.
  2. Connect S1 or S2 to the interrupted phase in the existing circuit.
  3. Use a receiver relay in the circuit you wish to control.

Cleaning
To clean the product, use a dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.

Environment
Avoid exposing the product to excessive heat or cold as it can damage or shorten the life of electronic circuit boards.

FAQ

  • Q: Is the WBT-230 water-resistant?
A: No, the WBT-230 is not water-resistant. Keep it dry to prevent corrosion, short circuits, defects, and shock hazards.

  • Q: What is the maximum load for the receiver?
A: Never connect lights or equipment that exceed the maximum load of the receiver, as it can result in defects, a short circuit, or fire.

  • Q: Can I use Nexa products for life-support systems?
A: No, Nexa products should never be used for life-support systems or other applications where equipment malfunctions can have life-threatening consequences.

  • Q: Can interference affect the performance of the WBT-230?
A: Yes, all wireless devices may be subject to interference, which could affect performance. Maintain a minimum distance of at least 50 cm between 2 receivers to minimize interference.

TECHNICAL DATA

WBT-230

  • Power source 230 V
  • Channels 2
  • Frequency System Nexa (433,92 MHz)
  • Range up to 30 m
  • IP rating IP20 Indoor use
  • Dimensions 47 x 47 x 20 mm

The WBT-230 is a transmitter for fixed installation. It is powered by 230 V AC and features two channels with 230 V AC as the input signal.

INSTALLATION

  • Installation must be performed by an authorised fitter.
  • Make sure that the power supply is disconnected during installation.
  • Connect the WBT-230 to a power switch as shown below. The transmitter is powered by 230 V. Connect the live (phase) wire to L and the neutral wire to N. Connect the switch leg(s) to S1 and/or S2.
  • The WBT-230 can also be controlled by a twilight relay, an astro-clock or other units with a 230 V output signal.

PUSH FUNCTION

When combined with a receiver relay, the WBT-230 can be used for the wireless control of units via a push function. In this situation, connect the WBT-230 to a power switch with an impulse spring and connect a receiver relay to the input on the unit in question.

WIRELESS CONNECTION OF MULTIPLE CIRCUITS

  • The WBT-230 can be used to connect two circuits without having to use signal wires/switch legs between them. For example, the outdoor light in a garage could be switched on simultaneously with the outdoor lights on the house.
  • Connect the phase and neutral wires to the WBT-230 and connect S1 or S2 to the interrupted phase in the existing circuit. Then use a receiver relay in the circuit you wish to control.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Indoor range: up to 30 m (optimal conditions). The range is strongly dependent on local conditions, such as the presence of metals. For example, the thin metal coating in Low-emissivity (low-E) glass hurts the range of radio signals. There may be restrictions on the use of this device outside the EU. If applicable, check whether this device complies with local directives.
  • Maximum load: Never connect lights or equipment that exceed the maximum load of the receiver, as it can result in defects, a short circuit or fire.
  • Life-support: Never use Nexa products for life-support systems or other applications in which equipment malfunctions can have life-threatening consequences.
  • Interference: All wireless devices may be subject to interference, which could affect performance. The minimum distance between 2 receivers should be at least 50 cm.
  • Repairing: Do not attempt to repair this product. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Water-resistance: This product is not water-resistant. Keep it dry. Moisture will corrode the inner electronics and can result in a short circuit, defects and shock hazard.
  • Cleaning: Use a dry cloth to clean this product. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
  • Environment: Do not expose the product to excessive heat or cold, as it can damage or shorten the life of electronic circuit boards.
