Maximum Scale Capacity, Increment and Decimal Point Settings
- Set the decimal point position and the minimum scale increment (0.001 – 0.002 – 0.005 – 0.01 – 0.02 – 0.05 – 0.1 – 0.2 – 0.5 – 1 – 2 – 5 – 10 – 20 – 50).
- Set the maximum scale capacity (max 999999).
Theoretical Calibration
Theoretical calibration allows you to calibrate the scale using known weight values. Follow the steps below to perform theoretical calibration:
- Access the Configuration Menu on the instrument.
- Select “Theoretical Calibration” (option 6).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the known weight values and perform the calibration process.
Product Usage Instructions
Powering the Equipment
Ensure the equipment is powered by a 12 to 24 Vdc LPS or Class 2 power source for UL approved models. Connect the power source to the appropriate input (12 / 24 Vdc).
Connecting Load Cells
Connect the load cells to the instrument following the electrical schematic provided in the user manual. Ensure the load cells are properly excited with a 5 V input and the output is connected to the appropriate terminals (E+, E-, S+, S-).
Configuration Menu
To access the Configuration Menu, press the C key on the instrument. Use the arrow keys (Increases digit / Scrolls up, Decreases digit / Scrolls down) to navigate through the menu options. Press the Enter key to enter a setup or select a digit to modify. To exit a step without saving, press the C key. To save your configuration, press the C key repeatedly until “save?” appears and then press Enter to save or press C to exit without saving.
Weighing Mode
In weighing mode, the instrument displays the gross weight. To clear the displayed gross weight, press the Weighing Mode key. Short press of the Weighing Mode key executes a semiautomatic tare, while a long press allows you to enter a known tare value.
Indicator Lights
The indicator lights on the instrument provide information about the scale’s status. Refer to the user manual for a detailed description of each indicator light and its meaning.
